  1. Lol - no Woody getting fired was Woody’s fault. Clemson’s involvement is a reminder that nothing has gone well when OSU plays that team.
  2. I like to keep track of the teams that are due for beatdowns for beating the Buckeyes over the years, and Clemson is at the top of that list. Between getting Woody fired way back when, two big bowl losses with Urban, and their guys shoving their hands up our guys’ privates during the shutout game (wtf)... there’s no team OSU needs to beat more than that one.
  3. That’s a tough loss, but if Fickell goes to MSU (which he should) that would open the door to Marcus Freeman coming back which would help. Why do we have to go through this every year while Clemson keeps that whole staff in place?
  4. Never Forget
  5. Hopefully the refs will be tuned into this nonsense in the B1G Championship.
  6. I know this comment is more about Bama than Illinois, but credit where credit is due for Lovie— his team played good football this year.
  7. Another glorious day in the rivalry! Both offenses looked good in the first half and went blow for blow... except for a Michigan turnover and inexcusable penalty that put them in a hole. Turned out a lot like last year when Ohio State was just too good and Michigan kept shooting themselves in the foot. Dobbins is an absolute dog. Can’t wait to see what he does next. His 30+ carry game today reminded me of Beanie Wells’s historic Michigan game when Tress refused to call a single pass play in the second half (lol Todd Boeckman). Fields was insane coming back from an MCL to throw a 30 yard strike to Wilson. His health is obviously critical. Please be okay. Going into the game I was scared of Michigan’s huge receivers. I figured Okudah and Nico Collins would cancel each other out, but I thought Peoples-Jones presented a huge problem on the other side. Turns out that kid had a nightmare day with drops, and Arnette did a great job covering him. That matchup made a huge difference. Browning needs to stay healthy and get the majority of snaps. I love Borland but the D operates at a different level with Browning in there. Riep played well in Wade’s stead and his INT was a well-deserved closer. But Wade really needs to play if there’s going to be a deep playoff run this year. Just as Olave’s coming out party was last year’s Michigan game, to nobody’s surprise Garret Wilson has his party today. The WR room is stacked and only getting better. Senior Austin Mack had a weak season and I’m not sure if he’ll be on an NFL roster next year, but I’ll always remember and appreciate his contributions during the Michigan games. Incredible. Eight in a row. I must be dreaming. Go Bucks.
  8. The most important day of the year. GO BUCKS!!!
  9. That’s rough. Hope he can go. Meanwhile, lots of smoke this week from UM boards about Fields not being 100% but all I see from the OSU beat is that he’s totally fine. Not sure what to make of all that.
  10. It was fun to watch him battle up front every play. Looked like a lot of action but nothing egregious jumped out at me.
  11. Just returned from the game. Credit to the lions for not only causing turnovers but for turning them into points. Exciting game to be at— especially the part when it looked like PSU was coming back but they didn’t come back and the Buckeyes won. That was the best. Xichigan Hate Week starts now.
  12. I hear you. The way this team came out of the gate this year was different. Watching them take the best shots of several ranked opponents, figuring those teams out, and then comprehensively dismantling them has been highly, highly satisfying. It does seem different. I never say championship or bust because I try to enjoy each season for what it is, but this does feel like one of *those* seasons. There's still no way in hell I'm laying all those points in a cold weather game against PSU a week before TTUN Go Bucks!
  13. Please don't rain on Saturday.
  14. No way they cover this. If they do, look out.
  15. Two things I know: This season was going way too smoothly. The complete lack of any drama was giving me anxiety. The OSU athletic department will botch this somehow.
  16. Same here. And if the 84-1 super bowl bet hits....
  17. I have my doubts about whether Coach O is doing the same prep work on the Bucks.
  18. A reckoning between Ohio State and Joe Burrow may be on the horizon. That would be a wild, wild scene considering everything he and the program went through together.
  19. Well, this is quite the breakdown.
  20. “Live that dream baby!”
  21. Dobbins is running really hard. Hopefully he’s gearing up for a Zeke-like run down the stretch.
  22. I’ve never appreciated B Deck more than I do right now. Fully covered and no columns blocking my view.
  23. We got a slobber knocker on our hands!
  24. Funny you should bring that up because I was just allaying my concerns with the soothing sounds of Gus Johnson calling the 2014 B1G Championship Game. "Von Bell just went up and said 'Give it here! And don't. Say. Nothin'!'" Lol
  25. How do we feel about Wisconsin this week? Championship-quality team caught in a trap last week and about to ball out with great anger in the shoe, or an exposed over-hyped team that's about to walk into an absolute beat down by the Ryan Day death machine? My sense is that the Badgers are good team with maybe a great defense. I'm expecting a tough game. I'll be in the shoe with my son this weekend - can't wait!
