  1. Leave it to Ramzy to give us a 100-year perspective on targeting and the 2019 Buckeyes.
  2. The two of them had beef a few years back when Harbaugh wanted to run a camp down south at a time of year when Saban thought no camps should be allowed. Add that to Saban's history at OSU under Woody and as head coach at MSU, and I'm not surprised he took an extra shot at Michigan when given the opportunity.
  3. Weird take. OU was preseason #4 in the AP poll. OSU was #5. Both teams had a good season. Biggest difference was on defense: OSU ended up #1 in total defense while OU ended up #38. (SUNY Buffalo was #7!) But whatever makes you feel good, I guess.
  4. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Jefe ends up being the most successful among the insane string of DBs coming out of OSU since Roby.
  5. That Oregon safety Breeze had one hell of a game.
  6. What a Rose Bowl!
  7. He went so hard this year it was inspiring. Absolute stud. How about his freshman year jump cut though?
  8. legend
  9. Not sure what happened over the course of this season, but last year he coached Ohio State’s talented DBs to play the WR instead of the ball, and the result was a season full of long touchdowns and, more concerning, a record number of pass interference calls because the defenders never turned around to play the ball when it was in the air. It was infuriating, he left, and this year the defense played the ball and it was a huge fix.
  10. Welp, I guess I have to spend every waking moment hating Clemson now. Brutal loss. I had a terrible feeling when they were up 16-0 instead of 28-0. The calls were whatever but the failure to score TDs in the red zone and Dobbins getting hurt made the biggest impact as far as I can tell. Credit to Dobbins for a 2K yd season and breaking Eddie’s single season record. Just incredible. Heartbreaking end to a truly remarkable season. I love the talent and coaching on this team and can’t wait to see what comes next. Go Bucks!!
  11. This is haunting. But I guess these games are not supposed to be easy. Enjoy! (I’m miserable.)
  12. Oh, it’s Alex Grinch, Oklahoma’s DC. He sucks. He used to run Ohio State’s defense and it sucked then too.
  13. Very thankful that Ryan Day showed Grinch the door. That guy should be fired at the half.
  14. Micah Parsons has developed really nicely at PSU. He was heavily recruited by Ohio State and it looks like he made a good decision for himself. Glad to see him do well.
  15. GO BUCKS ?
  16. McMurphy saying Yurich to Texas as OC. Ugh. https://www.burntorangenation.com/2019/12/26/21038160/mike-yurcich-texas-longhorns-offensive-coordinator-ohio-state
  17. Same. I take my cue from Michael Thomas and hit’em with the #Shhhhh.
  18. It would be good to retain Al Washington, especially if Coach Coombs comes home, if for no other reason than to keep a good mix of younger and more senior coaches on the staff.
  19. Potential home run hire for BC. He mentioned at his press conference today that he likes the talent on the team right now and does not see this as a rebuild. On the recruiting front, he’s from NJ and has a sense of what’s up in that part of the country. I’d be psyched.
  20. Seems like an appropriate time to remember this classic Coombs speech to recruits.
  21. On the Bucknuts Morning5 podcast this morning Dave Biddle said BC insiders aren’t so sure this is happening anymore. Hope he stays. Either way, seems like a great guy. Here’s his speech from the Broyles Award ceremony. I understand the DB he refers to is Jeff Okudah.
  22. Hafley may be staying now? That would be huge.
  23. JK seems a lot more muscular this year, and he runs super hard while still maintaining the jump cut ability we loved so much his freshman year. RIP some Michigan defender's ankles. Did you see that look in his eye in the first quarter of the Michigan game, and again in the B1G Championship? He looks extremely intense out there. OSU's success this postseason will all start and finish with him, with big plays to the WRs (and Ruckert finally!) mixed in to make the difference.
  24. Having Fields and Young in NY as Heisman finalists is super cool and further shows that this has been a truly unique year for the Buckeyes. I feel like Dobbins may have been snubbed, but it feels greedy to write that under the circumstances. Hopefully, and more importantly, *he* feels snubbed and goes out to let the world know how far he’s come this year. Speaking of which... I also hope Wyatt Davis is okay.
