RIP Coach. Some of the absolute best stuff from the Bills 30 for 30 was what Bruce had to say about Scott Norwood and the moment they shared on the steps of city hall together.

My lord, the overreaction around here is just so laughable. A new level of irrelevancy? Did you watch this team when Orton was the QB, or Losman, or Edwards, of Holcomb. Or how about the entire 70's decade and early 80s? We have a long way to fall to reach those levels of irrelevancy, a long, long way. And I hate to break it to all of you, but we still have quite a reasonable path to the playoffs this season. Likely? No. But doable yes. Teams we need to lose have a lot of games on their schedules that they can lose and we really have no business losing any of the remaining games. Chips would have to fall just right, but it is far from impossible.
This team is far from the worst we've seen from the Bills, in fact as sad as it is this is one of the more talented teams we've fielded during this 17 year playoff drought but I think you are missing the point that we could possibly be on the verge of another rebuild/front office shake up yet again which will send this playoff drought into 20 years easily

I'm watching the Sabres game but I might flip over and catch a glimpse of that poopfest after the Sabres game is over

Let's not put the cart before the horse....
Before we can play in the snow, we need to be able to play a full game in sunny, rainy, windy and in-dome conditions.

No not money in my opinion. It's to help Buffalo. Pegula is a hockey person which is why he bought the Sabres. I believe, and I have never met anyone in the Pegula family so it is only my belief, that the only reason he purchased the Bills was to keep them in Buffalo.
Although it was always speculated that he only was a hockey fan because he didn't really acknowledge being a huge Bills/Football fan publicly when he first came on the scene and saved the Sabres...after he bought the team he came out and said that was never the case and he always liked the Bills/football but he didn't feel it was appropriate to get into that discussion while Ralph was still alive. I actually get the impression that he seems more invested into the Bills than the Sabres to be honest

It's amazing to me that Fisher never found his way over to One Bills Drive over all these years.

Dealing with the media is part of his job. He is the teams QB. He makes money because people watch games, and want to hear from the players. I 100% blame him for his juvenile antics during the ten minute press conference.

I would agree if the media conducted themselves professionally but it just always seems like they try to bait players and stir the pot and like others have already said, what type of responses are they expecting from the players when that's how they approach them??
-
Don't blame him for that, even though I don't think he's "the guy" I don't question this man's work ethic, effort, and commitment to the game. Dealing with the media should be the last thing he needs to worry about right now.

Rip. Its still real to me damnit
He's not dead yet

Throwing up the double birds, maybe he just wanted to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving

They're well down this path. Apparently "Fame" is now defined as..he played and people like him. IMO, half the players getting in in recent years are good, not truly great. Warren Sapp. Really?
He's a jerk, a jackass whatever you wanna say but he was an absolute force as a player and a big part of the culture change that transformed Tampa from being a doormat of a franchise to Super Bowl champions. I agree the HOF is starting to get watered down and there have been some questionable inductees in recent years but using Sapp isn't a good example.

Denver's defese last year and Seattle's defense the year before that were both insane. All time great defenses, due to salary cap and guys getting older/hurt they have both taken a couple steps backwards but still very good defenses. Your not going to see an elite, all-time great defense come out every single year.

I felt like going into last weekend the football games in general were going to be anti-clamatic after that amazing World Series finale and thats how I felt about watching football on Sunday, of course I watched the Bills game but I could see how that game got lost in the shuffle for casual fans/Non Bills/Seahawks fans with it being sandwiched in betweeen what some are saying the greatest World Series of all time and the Election the following night

96-97 Packers and the Broncos teams that followed were both dominant football teams on both sides of the ball as well. I can't count the 2000 Ravens or 2002 Buccs because both of those teams were only dominant on Defense with very mediocre offenses. They wouldn't be able to hang with some of the all time greats that were built up on both sides of the ball like the Cowboys, Niners, Packers, and Broncos

Sal just mentioned the bills historical record on MNF is 17-24
Mind Blown....that's way better than what I thought it'd be
-
Graham went so far as to suggest most if not all of NE's big plays came as a result of defensive communication breakdowns.
He said "We are what we are...mediocre."
I liked his tone. He seemed pissed they lost, was frustrated, and wasn't afraid to call it like it is.
As he should being a guy that has also played for a Super Bowl champion, he has the credibility to lay it out there that performances like today are not acceptable.

Fun thread, this is the absolute first choice that came to mind for me

It's not really a question of stamina since '99. Back then, we didn't stand for every friggin play of the whole game!
I do agree that games are no worse than they used to be - and actually tamer.
My father took me to games every year since I was 6 in 1968. I actually don't remember problems at the Rockpile. But, I do remember super drunk people at Rich, especially on MNF.
Then, in the 80s, it was ridiculous. There were fights all over (now that I think about it, I haven't seen one this year at all).........I saw an entire section get thrown out in '86 vs. Pats. MNF for Dolphins in '84 and Jets in '83 were melees. And, there were plenty more.
Agreed, I barely ever see fights anymore at the stadium and they were a pretty regular occurence just going back about 10 years ago. People can say what they want but the behavior has cleaned up a lot over the years
-
Yeah....bbq sauce here, too.
That stuff was so good!
-
I've got DeAndre Hopkins going in fantasy and just want to see the Pats lose in general tonight so yeah this is a pretty big game for week 3!
-
History repeating itself in GB? Same thing happened in the 90s...everybody thought the Brett Favre era teams were destined to win at least 2-3 Lombardi's and be a mini dynasty. But as mentioned, as a Bills fan its kinda hard to feel too bad for those kind of misfortunes

Maybe he'll buy us a basketball team

I agree I want it to be special when we finally break the drought at this point. What fun would it be if this team did somehow end up stumbling into the playoffs only to be embarrassed and knocked out in the wildcard weekend. I want it to be like when the Kelly led team broke the old playoff drought in 88 and everybody was in a frenzy storming the field and tearing down the goalposts because we knew we were on our way to the promised land in the years to come. I wanna have a season like the Raiders had this year(minus the Qb getting injured in week 16
