  1. I will never forget what Bret Hart said about the wrestling culture- After the matches, most guiys had to take pain killers. By the time they got to the hotel, they had to take something to get to sleep. A few hours later, they had to take something to wake up to get to the next match.

A few years ago, I read something from an independent wrestler who had to drive cross country from match to match....drove through the night and made himself vomit just to stay away.

Its really sad- I've met some of those peopel....they deserve a lot better

When I first heard about this movie, I immediately thought about the life of Jake "The Snake" Roberts. For anybody thats familiar with his situation, just really depressing.

  2. I agree a GOOD Coach is imperative, however you are WRONG if you don't think players are accountable to each other. I'm sure you have heard reports of different teams holding PLAYERS ONLY meetings. Future HOF LB for the Bucs, Derrick Brooks was talking about this subject just the other day on WDAE. He said it is very important for a team to have LEADERS on the team for other players to look up to & emulate. He said when he was a rookie Hardy Nickerson mentored him, & showed him what he needed to do in order to be successful in the NFL. He said as a rookie he did not dare loaf when he saw Hardy, a Pro Bowl Vet, Bust his ass every day in practice & the film room. He mentioned Sabby Pistachelli as a young player he has mentored, that has already started to assert himself in the locker room. I think veteran leadership is one of the things that separates the good teams from the bad.

Absolutely, I was reading an article alittle while ago(wish I could find it again) where former 49ers players were talking about the immediate impact Ronnie Lott made and how he held everybody on that field accountable and he could back it up with his extremely high level of play. That is exactly what we are missing, its great that Donte Whitner has taken up a leadership role on the team but it lacks substance because he hasn't always backed it up on the field. We really need one or two players like that(Ray is definately that type of player but I don't want him because he's on his way towards past prime years) that other guys have 100% respect for and to a degree fear of not performing well.

  3. Remember enjoying the television in eighties , " The Wonder Years " . Remember the ongoing relationship between Kevin and Winnie. Always thought these two should be together.

Winnie studies art history in Paris while Kevin stays in the United States. Winnie and Kevin end up writing each other once a week for the next eight years. In the final epilogue, Kevin mentions how he was there, along with his wife and child, to greet Winnie when she returned to the United States in 1982.

Bummer of ending that is..... Kevin meets Winnie with wife and eight years of writing her every week. Little boy asks Kevin to come out and play, The End...

what movie or television series ending did you think were worst in your opinion?

I have to disagree, I think thats my favorite all-time ending of a television series.

  4. To say he stole $5,000,000 is RIDICULOUS

it was not his decision to be OFFERED a big contract from the Bills Brass. Which also had a huge residual effect in Schobel's over paid contract as well. The guy is a good guy who works hard. If you are to blame anyone it is the front office of the Bills who made the offer. It's not his fault that he isn't that talented. He is what he is, which is a hard working player that has little talent.

I say we cut the guy and look for bigger and better things.

What's up Coach Jauron? How's your offseason going so so far?

  5. More quotes from yesterdays sideline incident:

"That's a normal thing that happens," Whisenhunt said Monday. "It happened in the first quarter with Todd and Kurt on the sidelines. It happened with a couple of our defensive players and our defensive coaches. It's an emotional game. Yesterday was one of the most emotional you'll play in."

In the locker room, Haley dismissed their sideline interaction as part of the game. Haley described himself as emotional.

"Just the emotions of the game," he said. "We're emotional guys. Like I said, I wear my heart on my sleeve and that's the way I go about business and I have to deal with that on a full-time basis."

  6. To all the people saying, if the Cards woulda lost everyone woulda been flipping out over them argueing on the sidelines. I disagree, because we saw it so many times in Buffalo in our glory days. I think some people have forgotten how Kelly and Reed used to go at it, and with coaches, etc. well sometimes stuff like that would happen in the first half of the game, and then Kelly would throw 3 td's to Reed in the second half and we would win the game. I have no problems seeing players with a heartbeat out there, I get so aggravated when the Bills are getting their asses handed to them and then you see our guys sitting on the bench, not talking to each other, just staring off into space like they don't even wanna be there. Winning football games is about attitude and so many times the Bills take the defeatist approach once the going gets rough.

  7. Here's what we did and what my recommendation would be, seeing as theres not a whole lot to do in Canton we stayed in Cleveland for a couple days because it is something you want to make a trip out of, and there was a whole bunch of fun stuff to do in Cleveland and then early Saturday morning we drove to Canton and because they changed the ceremony to night time, it gave us a whole day to check out the Hall of Fame itself.

  8. How old are you? 12?

Flutie played in the CFL. Kelly was with the Houston Gamblers of the USFL

I think I could ask you the same thing, you come off as an ignorant jackass with that comment. It was a simple typo/brain fart. Yes I know that Kelly played in the USFL, I have no idea why I typed CFL, mistakes happen. I usually don't proofread my posts and I leave the Bills messageboards on in the background of my computer and post here and there whenever I have time and usually I am also doing something else in the background so the occasional lapse will happen but I am sorry if I offended your brilliant knowledge of the Buffalo Bills history.
