I find it interesting how two college kids are as good as our projected starters before the draft... I actually like Marv's decision.

Amen. Ko was supposed to go second round (I think Mel had him in a mock going to Miami) and to me this draft is going backwards. We have two second-round-calibur pics, and a second to fourth rounder. I'm confused, but not disappointed.

Actually I did hear Mel throw in his two cents about what a poor decision it was for Ko to enter the draft. Man I hate that Tool Bag, I'll call him Home Depot for the rest of the draft.

I like Mel Kiper for the sole fact that I can dislike a man so much. The guy is a reject, I don't like him as a sportscaster and I don't like him as a person. His picks are good, but his visions of how they will turn out is a joke. Prove me wrong, I probably can be, but I can't stand the guy.

Is Darnell Bing still around? That was the shocker for me...

Detroit did the same and the other 8, but man, it was a surprise. I wanted to pick him up to use as trade fodder.

I like McCargo, I've had him rated high all alon,g but there were others there that I figured would have been picked above him. It will be considered "stupid" for us to pass up Leinart, but again, we don't need a 4th QB

Look at it through Marv's eyes. Yes, we passed up Bunkley and Gnata and took a high grade yet undersized S. Why? Because in the 8th pick, you have to pay bucko bucks to get a starter who won't hold out. Buffalo, as we all have learned in the past weeks if we were too blind beforehand, is a SMALL MARKET TEAM. We, unlike the other 'wiping-their-asses-with-benjamins" teams have to watch where our money goes. I have faith in Marv, and he is getting the best his money can get him. We have cap room, and some of these players won't make it or won't sign, we'll scoop 'em up. Sure, we passed on Leinart like morons, but we didn't have the money to pay for a fourth anyways. I am quite confused with McCargo, but still, he's fast, plain and simple he's quick, and that's what our "new" cover 2 defense is calling for. Him and Triplett will wreak havoc in the backfield. It should get interesting in the later rounds.

Sure... Whitner is probably not as good as Bing on paper, but you have to look at the teams they played with. He's a good player, and he's GOT HOPS. The kid jumps, and can knock QB's over with upper body strength alone. I like him, but McCargo was a joke. He's, as stated before, a "solid", and only "solid", DT. They could've done much better. We'll have to settle for mid summer cuts and so on to fill our roster with starters.

Mark my words: Omar Jacobs is the next Ben Roethlisberger. He'll come in for a team as a backup, and he will sit the bench behind a struggling QB. Either the starter will get hurt, or they will put in Omar, and he will be the next Big Ben. Say what you will now, but the kids got talent.

IMHO, it would be a complete waste to draft another RB after the past two years signing them. Lionel is not a good RB, and although Shaud is undersized he's quick as hell. If we do pick one up, let's not go for the small, fast Donahoe guys we've been picking up, let's pick up a fullback we can turn in to a short yardage runner (Jerome Bettisish).

Why is no one giving Omar Jacobs a look? Sure he's a junior, but the kid was 41/4 in TD/INT and has never been below 61% in comp. %. I disagree with Leinart, but most of your others were right on. I think Vince is a slightly less Vick, and I believe that Cutler is incredibly overhyped. If we draft a QB. MAKE IT JACOBS.
