If you thought WE looked like crap today...
truth on hold replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always favored "Sancheese". -
Osi cow manure isn't the answer. We have too many holes to fill and this isn't likely our year to be playing in February. to be dropping draft picks.

Wet dream: Sanchez throws another pick 6. Ryan yanks him for 41 year old brunell. Sanchez makes good on his promise of smacking Ryan for pulling him. Huge embaressing pile up on jets sideline. jets season for all intents and purposes over Btw Wilkerson is a beast. outplaying dareus in 1st four games -

Lol at Ryan calling TO on ravens extra point to complain more to refs. Ngata is an absolute beast. And has heart too ... Does the rare thing for a lineman and actually elevates his play after landing the big contract. Hes one of the very best NTs I've ever seen. Pisses me off to no end we passed on him for Whitner. Curse of jauron still looms large over this team. I'm wth you Cotton. If it comes down to bills @ pats in week 17 for the division and loser goes home I'll take it. That's a lot farther than we thought we'd be going into the season. -

Only thing that can take a bit of the sting out of today's loss for me would be jets getting man handled 2nd week in a row in a loss to ravens. This happened so far thru end of 1st quarter. I focused more on this than pats because I figured bellichek would totally outclass raiders coaching staff and he did. This would be 2 jets losses in a row and then on the road at NE next week. They could very well have dug themselves a hole they can't get out of a week from now. Beyond just losing 2 straight tonight it will be the way they lost it. Getting manhandled both times, that will cause a major stir in the NY media calling for ryan's head for not delivering on the jets ground and pound offense/ smothering defense philosophy. -
Fitz's Inaccuracy A Problem Going Forward?
truth on hold replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
fitz lack of arm strength is the source of his inaccuracy. Needs to put his whole body into every pass, like it's a Hail Mary, messes up his mechanics. He'll never be the complete package for this reason. -
Bills Cheerleaders (Jills) featured on SI

Feel kinda guilty about posting this, I know they're high motor gals that cheer hard for the full 60 minutes, but those pics remind me of this video. -
Merriman said this which I agree with: "It's about being a disruption for the offense, not to go out there and put up numbers. Being as disruptive as possible and I think I've done that, so the numbers will come." Coaches keep close tabs on key match ups, and certainly the LT versus the DE or OLB is one of them. If they think their guy's not cutting it they will try to make adjustments BEFORE a sack or big play happens. Merriman was definitely pushing Matt Light back and came close to sacking Brady. Im sure Belli took notice and made some changes to the blocking schemes and play calling ... i.e. Merriman got them out of their preferred package.
-
I had low expectations for merriman given the injuries and poor play at the end in SD and so far he has exceeded them. He was giving Matt light all he could handle and then some in first half, got at least one pressure on Brady. I'm very impressed a LB played as big as a DE.

Really Barbarian this Tebow love is getting creepy, reminds me of ....
-
This only happens if bills Determine fits isn't their guy. Otherwise they won't give up what Denver would want for him, and tebow wouldn't want to go to a place where the starting QB could have the position locked up for 7 years, give or take

Herd is entertaining sans the ad naseum love/apology-fest for Romo. For a QB who's not "elite" on a team that doesn't factor into anyone's Super Bowl equation, it's just totally uncalled for. To his credit every Monday he does a segment where he was right and wrong on his predictions. I also like that he's not deferential to "legendary" guests and doesn't bail them out when they look stupid. He had Emmit Smith on the week before the NFL season started and just let him come off as the total inarticulate, unintelligent fool he is

Do the bills have the best O-line in the NFL?
truth on hold replied to buffalover4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best offensive line in history was the Cowboys of the early/mid-90's. T Erik Williams, 3rd Rd T Mark Tuinei, UDFA C Mark Stepnoski, 3rd Rd G Nate Newton, UDFA G Kevin Gogan, 8th Rd All but Newton got their NFL start with Dallas -

NYC supports 2 teams, not every game is sold out, and Actual attendance is a key variable as it relates to revenue from concessions, food, beverage, souvenirs, parking etc -
Chans right, we've only played 3 games and people everywhere are acting like we won the super bowl. Chan has his hands full keeping the players grounded given all the attention. On the opposing side, every team we face will be looking forward to knocking us off our pedestal.

Albany Newspaper Trashes Bills Nation
truth on hold replied to Albany Bills Backer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the gender based remarks really weren't cool and inaccurate. Lupica's a big city wannabe from Syracuse who routinely disses the Bills and Buffalo, and doesn't know squat about football. And that really did let her play the victim card, taking a handful of Emails and acting like that represents everyone in Buffalo and male spots fans everywhere -
Well it's true that's how the bradiots get Welker open so often. They send a TE and another receiver (could be a TE, WR or RB) out in front of Welker and cross in front of him as he runs underneath. If Brady reads the defense is over playing Welker and releasing on the TE in the slot for example, he throws to the TE. If he sees the defenders staying with the crossing receivers he finds Welker underneath who now has blcokers in front of him It's a basic play they run over and over. Welker is perfect because he has sure hands and is small and tough and can stay on his feet in traffic. It happens so fast it nullifies pressure and that's why it's so important defenses get their hands up to knock down the short passes.

I was speaking to someone with an economic interest in the yankees 2 weeks ago and he wanted the red sox to make it because a series against them would generate greater media interest and more fan attendance. -

If we don't have the best than who does? Not saying we do I'm just curious what team is acknowledged as #1.
