  1. I thought that was right in the hands too. Perfectly thrown ball.
  2. This feels like watching the Jags game and you felt the Bills were going to win somehow but then time ran out. Same feeling here.
  3. Someone mentioned it before, but Singletary was a workhorse back in college. He needs 10-15 carries to get going. Not 10-15 carries a game. And he doesn't have the best first-step so using him for quick passes/screens is pointless.
  4. That's what I'm talking about...there's now a series of calls that happen where the tv coverage doesn't even bother to replay the penalty. Like we just have to take the ref's word on the call. Just don't be surprised that we find out some time in the future that there was some rigging going on. It happened in the NBA, it sure can easily happen with part time referees who don't get paid very well to begin with in the NFL. All three games I watched had some horrible, game-changing calls (the Bills "offside" that wasn't called on 4th down, the "roughing" the passer on Aaron Donald, and the "taunting" call in the Bears game). I can't physically watch that many football games, but I'm sure there were other examples.
  5. This is what is starting to worry me. This isn't an "the NFL is against the Bills/small market teams" rant...it's more of a "there are some really, REALLY questionable calls that are happening in games that really change the outcome and it really can't all be chalked up to referee incompetence." belief. Once the NFL started partnering with bookies, I got nervous. Adding the legalized element of gambling, and having the NFL have a vested interest in its success just reeks afoul... That call in the Bears game for "Taunting" stunk to high heaven. Especially the way Corrente leaned into Cassius so as to have a reason to call it.
  6. As Baltimore has shown us already, you can't win games if your QB is your best running back. There's a limit to how far that can take you and it seems like the Bills refuse to learn from watching Baltimore continually falter come playoff time.
  7. The Steelers loss, you can attribute to the fact that the Steelers still have a world class defense and the Bills were rusty. They answered that loss by rattling off 4 straight wins and putting up 30 points a game on average. The Titans loss, that was a great football game where Derek Henry willed the Titans forward but it took Allen slipping on the turf to negate a win. That was a heavyweight fight that looked like a legit championship game. They won the next week after the bye (albeit ugly) but they still won. The Jags loss? That was a dog's breakfast with a team that looked completely disinterested and exposed all the flaws of the roster in one single game. If that loss doesn't turn them around, nothing will.
  8. Guys...we all know the fix is already on the roster... It's Christian Wade time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M1Pr-cENcQ&ab_channel=EBallProductions
  9. Honest question, if the Bills performed like they have the past two weeks, would you feel comfortable saying they would beat the Pats? There are obviously some "Cry babies" and the usual "I told you so, the sky is falling!" types, but there are a lot of informed fans that can tell this team is not playing remotely like a contender right now, because of some glaring deficiencies weaker teams are taking advantage of.
  10. Last year, the Pats almost beat the Bills with a completely ineffective Cam Newton. He lost the game with an ill-timed fumble but there was no doubt that they were well on their way of scoring the go-ahead touchdown with no time remaining. No one will get more out of their players than Bill Belichek. If he was our HC, the Bills would be 7-1 right now. Given than this season, he has a competent QB, and was able to use his cap space to effectively address weaknesses, it's not a surprise that the Pats are a threat. And it's arguable if they are better than the Bills because of our abysmal offensive line and running game. That being said, they have had a simple schedule with only the Chargers game being an impressive win.
  11. My concern with Beane is that he seems fearful of mortgaging the future to win in the present. That his way of building the franchise to date (and has been successful) has been to field a team, let the season play out, then fix the issues via the draft. That's fine in some cases but THIS is the year that you should have decided to go all in on. The Chiefs are faltering, the Titans just lost their MVP and the Ravens, Raiders, Chargers, etc. all look fallible. The Rams saw this same weakness in the league and decided to go all in on 2021. I wish Beane did the same thing. But he seems like he's always thinking "ok, maybe next season then".
  12. You know one thing I really liked about the Rams game last night... The officials blew the game (shocking) with that ultra-soft penalty to Donald for "Roughing the Passer". Immediately on the next play after, one of the Rams players decided to really EARN a roughing the passer penalty. You just know that's why they did it. They were mad that any chance at a comeback was nullified by a horribly bad call, and decided that they'd had enough. If the officials are going to be absolute clown shows on the field, then maybe it's time the players send a league a message and say "fine, we'll police it ourselves." Same situation here. If Mac Jones wants to twist ankles and get Handi-Kraft to pay off his fines, then I hope his opponents police his actions for him.
  13. I'd imagine we'd have lost 9-0 without them.
  14. And even with all that being their "Super Bowl", they still only scored 9 points.... It was an incredible level of ineptitude that let the Bills find a way to lose that game. Bad penalties, poor situational awareness, awful offensive play-calling and playmaking...just a perfect storm of awful.
  15. It's funny how under the radar the Cardinals are... They are playing great football and that's with JJ Watt injured (AGAIN), their top WRs out and yesterday, they didn't even have Murray in. Could you imagine how the Bills would look without Hughes, Diggs and Beasely and Allen out?!?
  16. I say it’s time to call up Christian Wade. Let’s get some speed at RB.
  17. I thought the Raiders losing to the Giants was a bigger WTF.
  18. Moss has shown glimpses of talent. He’d be an acceptable #2 back. Singletary is busted though. Slow and indecisive.
  19. The playbook on him is pretty well known. If you can rattle him, his decision-making starts becoming questionable. I’m not worried about that because Brady is the same way. The difference though is any team that has had Brady has spent a fortune making sure he has a world class O-line to keep him clean. Beane decided that Josh could take his licks this season and did nothing consequential to fix it.
  20. I think my point was that his blocking covered up a LOT of warts on that offensive line. With him out, its been absolutely terrible watching them get turnstiled
  21. That and the Beasley drop in Jags territory were turning points in both halves.
  22. I think we’ve learned how good a blocker he is at tight end.
  23. They either think that this is the year to go all in, or they don’t. And so far, they’re looking like management didn’t think it was their year. Which is unfortunate because the AFC is wide open this year. Take a look at the Rams, their GM doesn’t give two flying figs about the future and is going all in because it’s a great year to do so.
  24. But if you actually watch those scramble plays again, not one WR actually went deep. So maybe Daboll decided not to move the DBs at all. just a colossal failure all around.
