1. Not to add fuel to the fire.... :D

But, McGahee is probably the dumbest player ever to play for a Bills sport team.

He makes Roscoe Parrish seem like a rocket scientist.

When asked to tell a story about the Bills- he shared a story about Drew Bledsoe and the other QB's in camp complaining that their hands smelled disgusting.

When the players went in the locker room- McGahee said they went over to the centers locker (Ross Tucker) and he had big "skid marks" on his uniform pants.

What a heartwarming story to tell to Bills fans.

Classy guy this McGahee character....what a dumbass!!

Um, I believe you are "piling on" for Willis. He was probably asked to tell a funny story and frankly, when I read the skid marks line, I chuckled. How does that make Willis unclassy? If anyone he was kind in pointing out Ross Tucker's apparent hygiene problem. If he offers you a seat on the bus, don't take it! Thanks Willis.

    Willis McGahee - Humanitarian

  2. HE NEVER SAID HE WANTS TO PLAY IN CANADA!!

or that they should move the bills to canada.

he was asked what he thought about the league putting a team in toronto.

    thats it!

So when Willis convinces Ralph to move the team to Toronto (or maybe Drew Rosenhaus since he seems like one heck of a snake oil salesman), do you think they'll still be called the Bills?

Do you think Willis will get Canadian citizenship so he can take advantage of our free health care? He gets injured alot so maybe that's why he wants to play here.

Or is it because child support payments are generally lower in Canada? Maybe he thinks he'd only have to pay his child support now in Canadian dollars?

    JK! :D:blink::P:lol::rolleyes:

  3. What's interesting in all of this is why Willis would even have a hard-on with playing in Toronto. As a fan of the Raptors and Blue Jays (but not the Leafs...they suck) we're always being told that we have to pay far more for our star players or free agents to get them to play in Toronto. Look at all the great ballers that have jumped on the first flight out of here the minute their contracts expire (i.e. Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, Carlos Delgado). Most people say Canada's income taxation really turns off players from coming here.

Then again, you'd have to assume Willis actually knows that taxes are higher in Canada...

    :D

  4. I'm only half joking. I would have sent $20 if it meant your grandma could have seen the game. But only under the stipulation that she stand the entire game.

    853038

I know the local Canadian stations here in Ottawa black out the game. My brother says the same thing happens in Hamilton too.

Not only you depriving Tater's grandma, you're depriving south East Canada too!

WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE SOUTHEAST CANADIANS!?!?

  5. Did anyone watching the game on television see JP's cocky grin going into the huddle before the last drive?  It was a look that said, "are you kidding me?  There's no way we're not scoring on this drive"

    I LOVE IT

But seriously, win or lose that kid has postgame verbal diarrhea resulting in interviews which were comically verbose and even a bit awkward at times...

Nevertheless, I love that our cocky quarterback finally has something to feel cocky about, and I think he wears it well.

    849554

Holy crap, I did just write the same thing, almost at the same time....that's almost Burger King king creepy.

Or we can agree that great minds think alike.

  6. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else but did anyone see JPs face in the huddle right after the kick return with 30 seconds left? I'm no lip reader but he had this look of confidence on his face and it seemed like he was telling the guys: "Don't worry, we got this". Right after I saw that I turned to my friend and said we're going to win this game.

In all the progress, JP has shown, this is what blew me away. His confidence in the huddle shows he's starting to believe in himself. Like he can win us games on his own.

I know it's early but I like what I'm seeing.

    Let's start Nall though.

  7. Thumbs up. So true, and this is just from watching the highlights they post on nfl.com

    847011

Who was the team that called the 2nd Monday Night game during the first week of the season. It was Ron Jaworski and some other guy. Easily the best play-by-play I heard all year. So of course ESPN makes sure we never hear them call a game again.

  8. Tough to say, but I'd probably go with Rivers... not JP's fault though. The other 2 are in much better situations, while JP hasn't exactly been set up for success with the Bills.

    847010

Not to bash JP in any way (because I am a supporter), but Dallas has been having protection problems all year too. In fact, their O-line has been mentioned amongst the worst in the league. I think he, like JP, had a great game from his O-Line. If given time, a good QB will make good decisions. JP last week and Tony this week are proof of that.

P.S. Does anyone not notice the eery resemblance in style and demeanor between Romo and Brett Favre. The sh---eating grin on his face is so Favray like.

  9. I don't know, maybe if he cut the sleeves and attached a hood to it he might be up for wearing it

    844841

I'd like to see Jauron sport a red-white and blue tuxedo like Uncle Sam (complete with tuxedo). It's the Bills colours anyway.

Then he can point at his co-ordinators and yell stuff like: "I want you...to get this D line to stop the run!"

  10. • Weirdest: Losman has a better touchdown-to-interception ratio (plus-3) than Byron Leftwich (plus-2), Steve McNair (plus-1), Chad Pennington (minus-1) and Ben Roethlisberger (minus-5).

    843286

Actually (and surprisingly) King had a few nice things to say about the Bills. He named Evans one of his offensive players of the week (which even stupid FNIA didn't bother with) and he had this comment too:

"I know it doesn't count for much in the grand scheme of things, but Buffalo's win over Houston, on a 15-yard TD pass from J.P. Losman to Peerless Price, is the kind of win NFL Films needs to put very dramatic music over and make it a game of the week. What an uplifting win for a team that hasn't had much to cheer about."

I'd like to see that NFL Film.

  11. It honestly didn't look to me like he caught it.  But the camera angle sucked...

Still...even if the officials made the right call, they completely ignored that they are required to screw over the Bills at every turn.  If that had been Walt Coleman or Dick Hantak making the call, no way that's ruled a catch...

    842741

That was a definate catch. You could see him drag his feet. Look closely on the replay and he takes some of the green from the turf and drags it across the white on the back of the endzone. That is a catch. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

  12. Applause from the Peanut Gallery!!!

    838817

When I was in town for the Packers game, I made it a point to buy a throwback jersey (picked me up a #12). I wanted a throwback Spikes but I just couldn't swallow the $300 CDN it would cost me to buy it. I was looking for anything to replace my Bledsoe jersey...

I've told anyone around me who'll listen to switch to the throwbacks permanently and keep the new helmet. I like the patch idea. Hopefully, they'll sell those separately so I can pick one up.

  13. LOS ANGELES - Fox plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted, the network said.

The two-part interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.

that sure is some odd wording. I dont know if its more OJ mumbo jumbo combined w. fox spin to boost ratings or if the Juice will finally come clean.

what do others think? here's the story

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061115/ap_on_...mpson_interview

    837462

I'm too young to remember OJ from when he was on the Bills. What was he like back then? What did the city think of him? Any stories from his playing days that show a bit of the wacko side he's got now?

  14. As for our offensive coordinator, if he's not going to give Losman anything to do then I'm not going to expect Losman to do anything.  We never attempt any play-action or roll-out plays so the defense doesn't even worry about them.  I'm not surprised our drives stall even if we can move the ball a little.

    835229

Perfect post. It's our O-Coordinatoor who's pandering to a game plan that's "Do nothing to risk turning it over". Our offensive game plan STINKS. Let Losman go buck wild out there and he WILL learn. Does anyone have the pass attempts that Peyton or Carson or Brees took in their first full seasons? I sure as heck can bet it was more than 12 piddly pass attempts per game. JP should be throwing the ball AT LEAST 25 times a game. 1 pass every five minutes of game time?!? What does that do for his development?!? We have to accept that we're going to have a losing season. Who cares if we finish 3-13 or 6-10? I care that JP learns how to throw the f'n ball so he's ready for next year. Plus if he throws it alot and his pisspoor receiving corps keep dropping the ball, then Levy and Jauron can FINALLY see that they're not cutting it.

    ARRGH!

  15. I don't expect him to do a "wind sprint" to the locker room, but carted off? And I did crack a couple of ribs in highschool so I know it doesn't feel that great. They didn't have to cart me off.

    828324

From the way the trainers were looking at him, the ribs look to be broken on the left side of his body. I've had that injury before. It feels like someone has stabbed you with a knife and I remember the pain travelling along my backside so that I couldn't walk at a decent pace without assistance. McGahee walked off the field to the sidelines very slowly and they probably took the cart to get him looked at ASAP.

I didn't think something like this would lead to you questioning his toughness. Seriously, the man blew his knee out in the worst way and fought back to play. He's tough.

  16. it is pathetic, we finally win and you cant even tell. Who cares if he completed 8 passes, he was 8-15, 105 and a TD. Not that horrible. Its hard to be accurate when you cant step into your throws, the kid is probably gun shy because he gets bombed everytime he tries to step in and chuck it deep, give him a break

    826616

You also have to bring up that Evans and Royal dropped some key passes from JP that would have been big time gainers. Especially Evans drop. He had Harris beat. He catches that, he's in the end zone.

Our receivers have to make those catches to give a young QB confidence.

  17. There will be a few of us in the Lot 1, Pole 5 area before the game.  Check us out.  Lot 1 is to the right of the Fieldhouse (as you're facing the front of it).

    821066

If you don't mind a few Canadian hosers around you, we'd definately like to come by and check it out. What time do you generally start the festivities?

  18. Never have I come to hate a song and a truck so fast.

    821041

You have to admit though, that commercial with the office monkeys rocking out to Quiet Riot is the BEST. COMMERCIAL. EVER. I think it was for CareerBuilder.com

I mean it has it all. Monkeys, in people clothes, "Cum on Feel the Noise". What more can you ask?

  19. Good.  Hopefully, I'll catch up w/ you guys then.

    820980

    Sorry, I'll be more specific....

I'm making the trip from Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) with three of my friends (two Bills fans and one Packers fan who I plan to beat up in the parking lot as a sign of solidarity with my fellow Bills fans).

Seeing as it's my first game ever, what's the protocol for game day? Do people head right to the parking lot and just start drinking? Can you bring alcohol to the parking lot?

Are there places to get food around the stadium. Man, I am so excited...

We get into town on Friday night and we're at the Hampton Inn I billieve. What are the best watering holes in Buffalo?

Oh yeah: Bills 36 - Packers 24. WOOO!

  20. Hope to see some of you there this Sunday.

Remember, i'll be the one with the strange accent.

I begin the 2 day journey tomorrow morning...countdown.

    Go Bills.

    820487

I'll be there. It'll be my first Bills game ever. Where's a good place to go on a Saturday night in Buffalo?

  21. At least I can look forward to attending my first Bills game ever in two weeks against the Packers. I've been a Bills fan since I was 6 but living in Manitoba made making a trip out fiscally impossible. Now, I'm in Ottawa, I can make the drive and I've scored tickets.

The team may be suffering on the field but you know what? Doesn't matter, I finally get to see my boys play.

I'm going to the Ralph.

  22. Did anyone see Kelly going around the field high-fiving the fans, and then he stopped and took a pull off that guy's beer?  Classic Jimbo.

    793730

CLASSIC. *sniff* I miss Jimbo so much....

Though JP's development is making me forget the RJ years.

  23. Something tells me Jauron and Fewell will have our guys ready to play next Sunday.  Our D is going to be key this game and I hope it will improve with the addition of TKO :fingers crossed:.

We are going into a hostile environment and we are going to be fighting fire with fire.

    792702

My only concern is that at times it looks like our secondary can be beat with the deep ball. Grossman seems to thrive on finding a deep receiver that's downfield. Something tells me we see Bernard Berrian have his 5th straight game with a 40+ yard reception TD.

That being said. A 9.5 spread shows little respect for the Bills D. Hopefully this pumps them up even more.
