  1. Line up those tickets next year folks!

I like whoever said that if the Bills were trying to make Toronto not want to buy them they're doing a bang up job. At least the Bills fans who are there did a good job booing these losers off the field. Seriously, Limp Dick has got to go.

Losman has to go with him. They deserve each other.

    I WANT HAMDAN!

  2. Do you think more or less kids would have been exposed to this comment if it had just been stated and dropped instead of making a three-ring media circus out of it?

Sure, if it was just an off-hand comment to a reporter then they would have let it go.

In this case, he called over every reporter in the room and made a press conference of it. Of course the media is going to run with it because they all have the footage and it was brazen.

  3. Perhaps you mean "snifter"?

Anyway, I tend to agree with plenz, in saying "Go with what you know". You don't want to be doing too much experimenting at the wife's company party. But, by all means, if you know what you can handle, indulge in the good stuff. Why the hell not?

I'd probably start with cocktails (maybe a couple of very dry Bombay Sapphire gimlets), then have the appropriate wines throughout dinner...or beer, if it is more appropriate to what is being served. But, my beer limit is about 2. A couple of nice cognacs after dinner is always a nice treat, too.

Now, the wild card is Champagne (real Champagne). If there is a high-quality bubbly, then all bets are off, for me. I loves me some good Champagne.

Rule of thumb: Only engage in Jaeger bombs if the boss takes the lead.

Trust the Dean on this one kid....he's got a fine, fine appreciation for alcohols since he had to deal with Prohibition.

    :bag::unsure:

  4. Oh the horror!!!! Refering to an ex-girlfriend in a derogatory manner!!!! How will the NHL ever recover from this incident?!?!?

It's a HOCKEY league you friggin pansies, not a sewing circle!

And how many f#cking times has this happened in the "tough" NFL? When has an NFL player EVER talked trash about his ex on camera or another player's girlfriend ON CAMERA? They have a code of conduct for a reason. Like it or not, kids watch sports and they shouldn't have to be subjected to every moronic thing that comes out of a "look-at-me" idiot athlete.

  5. We play 3 divsional games twice= 6 games 4 nfc games and 6 interconferance games through out the course of the season. Us as fans know the importance of homefield advantage within our Division yet our Home divison game is AWAY.

We could have easilied played an NFC game in Toronto or a Conferance game none of the other teams in the leaugue who are playing outside of the us played a divisonal game why should we unless there might have been some influence in the decision.

For years the Dolphins have whined about coming to Buffalo in DEC but this new Deal with Toronto was a Ralph Wilson baby. Thinking about it I dont believe the NFL screwed us on the divisional game in Toronto. I believe it was Ralph himself that did this. To Ralph the biggest rivalry to him in the entire NFL is the MIAMI DOLPHINS and he wanted the the residients of Toronto to see first hand the rivalry of the BIlls and The Dolphins. So he probably talked to the Dolphins (who would jump at a shot to play in a dome instead of the cold) and the leaugue and to see if they could schedule it this way. Ralph has on many occassions manuvered the schedule moving a 4pm game to 1 pm thought its minor I think their might have been a great influence on this game by Ralph who expect us to win against the Dolphins to help build the extended fan base in Toronto It even could have been a contract term that we are not aware of Just food for thought. :worthy:

Thus a post I read earlier would explain why Ralph would be even more infuriated if this team lost in Totoronto.

Honestly, I think the logic in choosing this game was: "well, the Dolphins were 1-15 last year so no one will miss this game".

It somewhat makes sense considering that Bills fans would have been angry to lose the NFC games (since they only play those teams once every 4 years) and the Jets and Pats sell themselves as true rivals now.

What would you have given up instead? The Oakland game? The Cleveland Monday Nighter? San Diego?

  6. Me personally, I'm nervous about Jauron leaving. I agree, with each passing week, we need a new coach more and more. However, I shudder to think of yet another new HC, new assistants, and several more wasted years of players learning new schemes. So, I'm somewhat ambivalent on the whole issue to be perfectly honest. I guess I'm just waiting for the next couple of games to play out to see how the season actually ends.

I don't think you give the players enough credit here to learn a new system Dan. I truly believe this team has talent and the right coaching staff could come in and institute a system that maximizes this team's strengths and hides their flaws. We are asking for this kind of coach, we're not asking for a team overhaul. Most of us who want Jauron gone feel so passionately about it because we truly believe this team has many, many talented players and he is getting the least from them. In that regard, this team could probably turn it around in a year because its similar to the situation in Atlanta where the young talent was there but the coach needed to harness it.

  7. Next year the AFC East even looks easier. Favre is only 50-50 on playing with the Jets next year and they are nowhere near as good without him. The Pats wasted a year of all their old, vetern talent with Brady out. The Dolphins might actually get better... Or fall apart the year after being decent like every Chad Pennington team ever (one year up, one year down). Next year, with some more, continued improvement over the this year, we could be looking pretty good.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried....

This WAS the year to end the playoff drought. You had a questionable Jets team with a QB who came to camp late and is still learning the playbook and his players, you had the defending division champ lose questionably the best QB in the league (and one of the best of all time) and you had a team coming off a 1-15 record with a new HC and new players. And despite the table being set for the Bills with an easier than pie schedule, this team still managed to f#ck it up by instituting a baffling offensive scheme with a rookie HC, and a head coach who's game time decisions probably cost us at least 3 games this year.

Next year, all our opponents will be better. New England will be much, much better with their MVP back and they still have Belichek who somehow turns sh-- into stars. The JESTS will get better players to give Brett one last hail mary at a SB and the Dolphins will also be better because Parcells has shown he can run a team effectively and he's hired a very capable head coach who is getting better by the game.

The Bills? If Jauron and his team come back all we can look forward to is another 7-9 season and another DB pick in the first round. YAY!

  8. I agree with you 100%... THIS PISSES ME OFF TO NO END !!! Welcome to the 70 degree dome Miami... make yourselves at home... WE SHOULD BE FREEZING THE FISH INSTEAD OF WARMING THEM UP...

Like someone else pointed out, this team is SOFT and would probably be worse with the cold than Miami would. Only this current crop of players could find a way to make home field advantage irrelevant. That's some swell tough team you built there Brandon and Limp Dick....

  9. Here's my prediction of what will happen: the Bills will somehow eek out a win against the Dolphins to go 7-6. That will keep them showing up in any ESPN playoff scenarios as one of the teams "in the hunt". I wouldn't even be surprised if they win the next week and go 8-6. Everyone will get all excited, just like before the Cleveland game last year. What will happen next is what always happens: they'll lose the last two games of the year and they will finish 8-8. Sometime during the playoffs, it will be quietly announced that Dick Jauron has signed a contract extension, and management will cite Dick's improvement in the overall record. Improvement from 7-9 to 8-8 - yep that's what I predict.

It's so sad, it makes me wanna cry.

  10. Exactly. This type of stupid bullsh!# is why the NHL has been relegated to the network formerly known as OLN and can't beat women's college basketball in the ratings. :worthy:

Yep, because every player in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and Nascar are defying their coaches orders to not talk to the press, then calling an impromptu press conferences by their stalls to refer to women in a derogatory manner.

I must have missed the interview where Trent called his ex a "skivvy slut"....

  11. That's how all the Bills fans are. They expect immediate results, or they cry. I'm sick of it, and I am ashamed to call myself a Bills fan with all of these whining bitches running their ignorant mouths all the time.

Then go cheer for the Lions. There fans lap up mediocrity by the bowl full. Sorry we all can't be a pathetic loser like you miring themselves in mediocrity for the rest of our lives. Some of us would like the Bills to strive for excellence. I mean those of us who actually remember teams past the 90s....

  12. LOL...

They just announced on Sportsnet Canada that the game has "sold out" and there will be no black out restrictions for the game. My guess is corporations just bought out the expensive seats.

  13. Go Dolphins!?

    Blasphemy!

Revoke that poster's account, he is no longer one of us. I may not like the coach, but I will never root for the Dolphins.

    (Go Bills, fire Dick)

Maybe we should cheer for the Bills to give a performance where they don't get hurt trying to tackle or run the football. As fans we can only cheer so hard for their well-being! If the end result is a Dolphins blowout and Dick's immediate removal, then that is just an unfortunate by-product of us caring about this team so much we don't want them getting hurt!

  14. Hey y'all,

Jimbo and Dan Marino were both on the Score together to promote the game in Toronto this weekend.

    Some interesting notes:

    - Jimbo says his favorite Bills-Fins memory was the game-winning run against Miami in 1989. He actually admitted he was completely out of breath and when the team jumped on top to celebrate he honestly could not catch his breath and thought he was going to pass out.

    - Talks about how "back in the day" playing in Buffalo was a nightmare for opponents and Marino agreed.

    - This may be just a talking point but Jimbo said "no offense to Toronto" but when the time comes he "will do everything in his power to keep the Bills in Buffalo" and then went on about how he knows how important the Bills are to the city and what its like on Monday after a loss.

Marino didn't say much in the interview except talking about how good a job Parcells has done so far (Jim said nothing about Buffalo's management...) and how if it weren't for those great Bills teams of the 90s he may have actually got to a couple more Super Bowls.

Interesting stat - They played each other 21 times. Kelly is 11-7 in the regular season and 3-0 (SUCK ON THAT) in the playoffs against Marino.

  15. Then the collapse would be complete. All kidding I think Russ Brandon has done a good so far. He has provided us with good draft picks, great aquisitions in the FA and trade dept. Our problem lies with our coaching. It's ironic how much the Raiders (Al Davis) and the Bills (Ralph Wilson) resemble each other in the production/results dept.. These two old school coots will not relinquish their authority no matter what kind of garbage they turn out year after year. Amazing, simply amazing.

Why not? We hired a loser retread from Chicago to be our head coach...why not look within the NFC North for another loser retread for GM? We should also look to Mike Tice and Mike Sherman as co-ordinators to complete the collection of losers.

  16. I was able to get 10 just now...

These prices along tell you how much Roger Co. over-valued the demand for NFL tickets in Toronto...

  17. Agreed...

And I think based on where this Team was 3 Years ago, Jauron may have been just about as good as any HC coming into the situation He did...Then going through the injuries last Season, etc...He served His purpose no question...The Bills are FAR better off then they were 3 Years ago...In fact they are probably a bit ahead of where they should be...With the right HC this Year I think the Bills would be a minimum 9-3 right now...

The Bills need a Field General...A Coach that, on any given Sunday, can out-smart the opposition...A Coach that understands when He hires an OC, or when He tells His Scouts what the Team is looking for, that this Team Plays in Buffalo NY...And in order to Win consistantly this Team needs to be a dominant Running Offense...This Team needs to be physical, and this Team needs to be able to take advantage of a Home Field that can be a nightmare for opponents to come in to with the right mind set and Team design...

But anyway...No question Jauron did not destroy The Bills...He simply is not the right Man to take the next step...He can't match wits with the better NFL Coaches...He did the best he could...Now it's time to get the right Guy for the next step... :worthy:

So in other words, you want Pittsburgh's coaching staff?

  18. Thanks for the reply. I'm an odd bird that likes to hear about the goings-on in that free Nation with its' huge economy North of me.

I was a Mulroney man... :worthy:

Mulroney?!? I thought we could be friends Cincy...

Myself, even though I was a very young, still find myself captivated by Pierre Trudeau. He was the only PM we ever had that had the cajones to govern as he saw best for Canada - right or wrong - the man stuck to his principals. I'll always love his answer to a reporter questioning his response to domestic terrorrism (the PLQ attacks) "How far will you take this?"

    "Just watch me."

    BALLS.

  19. Never say the Bills don't care about their fans. I just got a phone call from the ticket office saying they appreciate their season ticket holders and wished me a Merry Christmas. Now I feel much better.

    PTR

Did you tell them that if they really wanted to wish you a "Merry" Christmas that they would actually do something about the current downward spiral of this once-proud franchise?
