The regresssion of Edwards continues. He's not the same quarterback we saw early in the season. I'm not sure what happened to his psyche but it's in bad shape. Was afraid to throw the ball downfield. What's concerning is not the interceptions but the fact that he totally changed his mindset afterwards. The successful ones keep attacking and forget about the past quickly. He was the opposite - constant check downs - no throws on timing patterns - waiting for receivers to get wide open and then throwing late. Can't blame the o-line tonight - he had tons of time in the pocket. Mentally not there right now.
A lot of people are blaming the hit against Arizona. I don't buy it. He looked amazing against San Diego. I actually think that since the Miami game, he's lost all his confidence and he's second-guessing himself on every play. The pick-6 against the Jets just helped him keep losing his confidence. The Pats crippled him even further. Tonight you saw the result of his waning confidence. The first pick (as accidental as it was) just sent him on a spiral.
Trent may want to sit on the bench for a couple of games and find his game again. Not saying I want Losman, just that maybe Trent needs to sit down and study the playbook harder and work his issues off the field.

The Bills are in that nowhere zone of NFL franchises - a hair better than the Cincinatti's and Detroits of the world, but certainly not even sniffing the playoff calibre teams...
I feel like I'm going to cry...seriously...
When things aren't going well in life sometimes, just sometimes you lean on your favorite football team to give you some happiness even if it is somewhat empty and doesn't last very long, it's still happiness and it just makes you so briefly forget all the other things in life that are bringing you down.
The Bills have gone this year from providing me that happiness with their start to reminding me how utterly depressing my life is...
Thanks Dick.

or 10.
...or they just pack up and move to Toronto....

Johnson was open...
Dear Trent...please do not throw another pick.
Signed,
Bills Nation

THERE ARE 3 OF THEM!
Jets
Pats
Chargers
All torching the Buffalo D for Touchdowns....
$%%^ Visa
Hmmm...Visa must have a vendetta against the Bills....
In Canada, the commercial is of Fred Reid and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL running past the Buffalo D for a touchdown....
weird indeed....

You forgot the Sacagawea Golden Dollar Coin...sometimes referred to as the "Sack Buck".
The Sack Buck huh? If our DEs got paid in Sack Bucks, they'd be playing for free!

DrDankenstein concurs with John from Hemet and Heels from 20X6
Heels from 20X6 appreciates the sentiment of agreement DrDankenstein.

NO folks.......
All it would take to get this ship in the right direction would be the ability to run the ball......P.E.R.I.O.D.
- Want to blam Edwards for the int's? First look at the fact that our offense is so one one trick pony that we are actually lucky he hasn't played worse.
- Every time he holds the ball he has a defender on top of him
- I actually see a small minority talking about benching him for Losman.....well if the OL keeps playing like this that isn't going to be a problem because Edwards will be down with another injury
Fix the running game......watch the team instantly get better. Will it fix all the problems......no.....but enough that the team will start winning again.
Heels from 20X6 agrees with you. The team needs to commit to the run and the coaching needs to work much, much harder with our large and no longer in charge O-line to get them to dictate the pace of the game. There are few holes for our backs to move through.
I also suggest that Trent has been suffering without Josh Reed as his outlet. Reed has developed the ability to be able to get himself open for Trent as his "valve pass'.
I think that Turk needs to open his playbook up for more intermediate and deep routes. Maximize the speed of Roscoe and Lee. Stretch the field out and keep opposing defenses honest. Dink and dunk only works when the secondary respects your deep threats.

Is it GOOD or BAD that the earth is round? Let's create 28 threads about this, it's not a waste of anyone's time. We can make a difference!! Is Buffalo a GOOD or BAD name for a city? Discuss.
We could make a thread about what a douche you're looking like for trying to determine what is worthy of discussion on an open forum board....

I wouldn't think so, based on having one of the softer schedules based on the opponent's last-season records for what that's worth, and getting wins off of some teams early on, one with big OL injuries and two with organizational turmoil.
There are some offensive woes - but clubs pulling off these long, time consuming drives, points to a defense problem.
Coaching schemes, talent, I dunno.
I'd still like to see a corner or safety blitz a couple of times per game...spice things up...no b*lls no glory etc.
With a bunch of hefty Clydesdales populating the OL, I'd send them straight ahead on a quick snap count, cut the cute fanciness, cut the deep hand-offs, and give 3 yards and a cloud of dust a try. Even though the rules today scream pass-pass-pass.
I vote Cincy as our new OC!
As for 9-7 or 8-8....with our softer schedule, anything short of 10-6 would be a gross disappointment in my eyes.

If you know who these stats belong to, don't blow it for everyone else. I will release the names around 6pm tonight. Partial seasons are pro-rated.
I want to see the win/losses associated with each age please.

Enough with the "fire Jauron" threads. There is ZERO CHANCE in HELL that he'll be fired anytime soon. ZERO. Get it through your thickened, cynical skulls. He just signed an extension. He's stabilized the organization. Ralph loves him. His players love him. He's well-respected around the league. This team just completed two coaching changes in a row prior to Jauron, and as Ralph well knows every time you usher in a new coaching staff you have to start all of the way from scratch, because that coach has his own schemes which will require its own new set of players and philosophy. IT AIN'T HAPPENING. It's not even worth discussing. It's on par with topics like, What if it started raining dollar bills one day? And, Are there dinosaurs still living in New Mexico? It's PURE FANTASY, so can we please, please move on.
I'll get off of my soapbox now.
So if the Bills were to lose out and go 5-11, you don't think the people calling for his head wouldn't get it? I dunno man, I think it's like the ol' Popeye saying will come out from Ralph "I can stands so much, but I can't stands no more!"

DJ did throw the challenge flag. The refs ignored it. Get your facts straight before you whine.
Yep, he threw it, didn't get the refs attention and proceeded to let NE get a free 30 yard play that set up a touchdown in what turned out to be a close scoring game. Brilliant, simply brilliant.

The Bills should be more than ready and fired up to pound the Steamers. Last year when they were worse, they took the 5-0 Dallas Cowboys to the wire and choked. Cleveland is not last years Cowboys who ended up in the NFC Championship game. This should be an easy win, but..................
Hate to correct you but Dallas didn't make it to the NFC Championship...they got knocked out by the NYG. It was Green Bay vs. New York for the NFC.

Who have we beaten Sea 2-7, oak, 2-7, stl, 2-7, sd 4-5, jax 4-5
who have we lost to ari 6-3, miami 5-4, jets 6-3, ne 6-3
who do we have left cle -3-6, kc 1-8, sf 2-7
mia 5-4, jets 6-3, den 5-4, ne 6-3
2006 1-7 against teams above .500 6-1 .500 and below
2007 1-7 against teams above .500 6-1 .500 below
2008 0-4 against teams above .500 5-0 .500 below
thats 2-18 against teams above .500 and 17-2 against teams .500 and below
This means our coach is a winner against mediocre and worse teams and a loser when it comes to winning teams we cannot win with a coach like this ever hes afraid to win against the better teams, or plays scared, or underprepares, or plays to close to the vest or just plain sucks. Unfortunately we have this Dick for 3 more years or until Ralph dies which ever comes first.
So based on stats we will go 2-1 over next three games and 1-3 over the final 4 leaving us with an 8-8 record one better than last season thats a huge improvement

This is why I'm anti-Dick Jauron. It really has nothing to do with passive style or his morbid face expressions or how he looks in a Bills sweatsuit...it's the inability of the teams he coaches to win against quality opponents. It seems like his teams are never prepared to beat GOOD TEAMS.
People here are making comparisons to other coaches after 41 games but please tell me in those 41 games what those coaches records were against quality teams. I would like to know. Because to me, Jauron's biggest, most inexcusable flaw is how the his teams always come out flat in big games.

Another- Mike Smith HC- Atlanta falcons
Rookie qb who looks like he's been in the league for 4 years already. I thought Matt Ryan was gonna be good, but damn.
1st year starting rb who backed up LT. Turner flashed potential behind lt for a few years. He's turning out to live up to that potential behind what was considered to be not a very good offenseive line
wr's who underachieved for years due to apparantly bad quarterback play
A suspect defense who's playing pretty damn good. John Abraham is actually healthy this year, and his talent is shining thru. Maybe a candidate for DPOY. Getting solid play across the board in the frony 7 and their secondary. Lawyer Milloy is still playing at a high level. Yeah I'm gonna go with Mike Smith for COTY
I'm going with Mike Smith too. What a year he's having....everyone predicted the Falcons to be dead in the water before the season even started. Rookie HC, Rookie QB, back-up RB now a starter, a year removed from a coach quitting on his players...all signs pointed to disaster and regardless of what happens from here on out, they've over-achieved BIG TIME.
Mike Smith.. COTY.

Damn. Will we ever get to play the Browns in a normal game?
Why I love Jaws...he made the announcement during the Cards-Niners game that "there's going to be snow in Buffalo" and when Tony and Tirico groaned, Jaws howled out a "YESSSSSS!!!!" That's a true Lackawanna boy right there.
He will be our biggest cheerleader on Monday (for the fans), guys, let's not let him down and be as freakin' loud as we can!

If you think a defensive line where 3 of the 4 starters are Chris Kelsay, Ryan Denney and Kyle Williams, a secondary where a clueless rookie is forced in as the nickelback and the safeties are such lackluster players as Ko Simpson and Bryan Scott, an interior offensive line where 2 of the 3 starters are Duke Preston and Jason Whittle, a WR corps consisting basically of one guy, and a group of tight ends lead by Robert Royal doesn't make for seriously flawed personnel...I don't know what to do with you.
If these offensive and defensive lines aren't "seriously flawed" what the hell is?
And again we get into the chicken and egg argument. Who was responsible for building this team? Jauron, I believe, had a lot to say about how this team would look in 2008. His own words were ones that indicated that this team was ready to go, that there would be no more excuses and this franchise is eying a playoff birth. What you've listed above are the very "excuses" he didn't want to come out with.

60 percent of the time...it works everytime.
Ugh...Milk was a BAD CHOICE!

Everybody keeps saying that we're about to play three bad teams...as if the Bills are a good team. Cleveland hung 35 on the Giants, beat Jax and scored 27 points against a very good Baltimore defense.
Someone thinks we'll be able to stop them when their bread-n-butter underneath passes are the raspberry seeds in the Bills wisdom tooth?
Okay. But if you're going to say we're about to play some bad teams, qualify is correctly by stating that a bad Bills team will be playing three bad teams.
Cuz our team is bad right now until proven otherwise.
You're so dead on LA that you're almost Jauron on! I can't see how anyone thinks it's a given that we're going to be 8-4 after the next three games. Yes, the Bills have talent but so do these other teams. Don't let their records fool you. KC has been in more games than not, Cleveland still has an extremely high-powered offense and San Fran has a new coach that is slowly but surely getting his team to play harder than their talent tells them too. The Bills could just as easily be 5-7 if its the same Bills team that shown up the last 3 weeks. Some of you magically expect them to be complete winners again but what worries me is that the Bills have gotten WORSE week to week. Not better, not showing any improvements but actually getting worse from game to game.
I love the Bills and will cheer til my throat is raw, but the pollyanna "don't worry, be happy" attitude that some of you have just baffles me! I won't be happy until we are 8-4 and in those three wins show a team that can rush the QB, commit to the run and protect their young QB who I hope is making the same smart decisions with the ball as he did three weeks ago.

95 percent of all statistics are made up!
Well yeah....65 percent of people know that!

Obviously, I'm being facetious. Everyone knows that every ticket and piece of merchandise bought comes with a guarantee from the Bills that says they will win the SB every year in exchange for your patronage.
GO BILLS!!!
I too am being facetious in that yes, in a legal sense, the team owes us nothing but in the fact that they exist as a form of public entertainment they do owe us. In being a professional sports franchise, their existence depends on the ability of the franchise to develop a fan base and/or community that will support the team via ticket purchases, merchandise, sponsorships etc. As a fan, in exchange, we ask that they place the best, most entertaining product on the field for us to continue this relationship. With no fans, there is no team. Of course, they could always move and set up shop elsewhere but again, if the fans there feel slighted by the product, the team can fold or move again...and again...until it provides a product that again develops a fan base that gives it reason to support itself in that area.
-
The Bills don't owe you a damn thing, regardless of how you choose to feel about them.
Carry on.
GO BILLS!!!
Really? The Bills don't owe me or anyone else a damn thing huh? I guess those seats at the Ralph are free and the numerous jerseys, hats, caps, and shirts I wear were hung off a rack that said "Please help yourself"....
strange...could have sworn I paid for them.....
-
True but I am calling out the cacklers here who persist to spew venom.
You are right. The Bills organization has given us much to be positive about the last three weeks. As well, they deserve the benefit of the doubt with the last decade of success they've given us. We fans are selfish and greedy. Like our New England counterparts.

Losman should be our starting QB

I think you're half right. I don't think Trent's done yet. Somewhere in that brain of his is the smart QB that made good decisions and protected the football. He's lost his way the last few games and I keep hope that'll find it again.
That being said, maybe Losman plays a couple games to give Trent some time to work through his problems.
Jauron on the other hand has to go. Simply inexcusable the play-calling at the end of the game. His LOSER mindset is affecting this team....making them losers.
I just got a text from my friend who plays on the Bears (and played for Dick). His words: "Sorry bro. He just can't win big games."
How right he is...
