TNF matchup of Hasselbeck v Mallett
apuszczalowski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, the NFL must be trying to figure out why they are always so lucky. When they scheduled this prime time game they probably never knew their dreams would come true and it would be Mallet BS Hasselbeck! -
A break may have been better, atleast when it heals it heals, unlike High Ankle Sprains that almost always seem to linger for a player
-
Or maybe the Bills have had it with Brown and the rumors are true that the guy isn't coach able? It says alot about Brown that a guy with so much potential ability can't see the field after being traded to another team, gets cut and is now being passed over for guys who were injured earlier. Brown may be fast or has the ability to break big gains, but none of that matters if the balls on the ground cause he can't hang on to it after constantly being coached how to

Bills bring in Trent Richardson
apuszczalowski replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Freddie injured? What? That never happens...... I'm sure he would have been smirking and loving being a healthy scratch for the firsT couple of games of the season too sitting behind McCoy and Williams.... -
I understand Rexs "proud" comment, he is proud that his team isnt just taking crap from other teams and are standing up for themselves and getting mad about it. Problem is by doing that they are then hurting the team more then if they just shrugged it off and walked away and possibly get called soft. Rex wanted this team to be bullies, problem is bullies are usually fairly dumb and do dumb things to look tough

Doesn't necessarily look bad for the Bills that he reached out to another team that may have been able to use him before he was signed by the bills. I would have too if I was looking for a job as a QB. This looks much worse on the Eagles and the genius Chip that they passed on bringing him in and instead thought Tebow was the better option.........

but of those penalties, how many are for minor things like false starts or holds, and how many are for personal fouls? There's a big difference.
-
Yeah, my eyes were open, unlike many here and the refs, its how I was able to see that it wasn't a chop block because he didn't hit him at the thigh or lower They play didn't happen that far away from the QB. If Taylor doesn't throw it and decides to take off and run, which he could have done because there was an opening, Richie is going over to make the block to make sure the guy closest to the QB doesn't get loose and get to the QB. Plays happen quickly on the field and the linemen are taught to get out and block where ever they can to open up space and make sure guys don't get loose. He had no one else to block so he went to help with the closest guy to him.

special teams coach should resign
apuszczalowski replied to birdog1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But even then, they will probably find something during the kick to call The Bills should petition the league to just have them start at their one on every punt without the other team having to punt it..... -
The guy has missed something like 6 games over the previous 6 seasons IIRC, and the guy they trade for to get him is coming off missing a season to now missing time for ANOTHER knee injury Well teh run game was missing the guy who was supposed to be the focal point of it, that doesn't help................ Why? They both result in the same thing, a turnover, but atleast giving the ball short of the goal to Williams give the slight chance that maybe Williams breaks a tackle and powers his way in, instead of throwing an uncatchable ball way over someones head
-
Thats the funny thing, if that was a WR making the catch I bet they rule it Out of Bounds. It crazy how many catches get ruled out of bounds for a WR being close to the white, yet that one was good because it was an INT.. unfortunately I think thats what Cassel was supposed to be here, or atleast what they were looking for when they trade to get him
-
You say that now, until of course theres a play where he decides now not to help out on a block, the defender gets free and the QB is sacked and your screaming why Richie didn't help out and just stood around...... It was a blown call that the Bills will hear about when the league send out their apology letters. The referee defenders here can say all they want about intent or whatever, but the rule states thighs or lower, last time I checked the waist was above the thighs.............
-
But apparently, according to a bunch of the experts here, Richie intended to hit the guy low when he lunged but missed and ended up hitting him high.............

special teams coach should resign

Sounds like the guy who in another thread everyone is saying you can't cut (who also is only on the roster for a portion of Special teams) They probably could but thats the only way they won't get flagged for an illegal block, holding, or some other penalty negating the punt and giving the offence the ball back............ -
The "can Dan" Carpenter thread
apuszczalowski replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyones right, you can't let Carpenter go, he was money last year. This year, not so much, and the year before last, also not so much, but last year he was money and if he gets his head on striaght, or the rules change back, or he heals up from whatever injuries he has been suffering from obviously he will be money again I would definitly be bringing in kickers this week to look at and not be waiting for Dan to get his groove back. Gay, or any street free agent with kicking experience can miss field goals just as good as Carpenter has. And this isn't because of todays game, this is because the offseason and a bunch of times in these last 4 games, mr. 'Money' can't hit FGs or Extra points that a kicker should....... -
true, somewhat, they did affect the outcome of the game because 2 very questionable calls called back 2 tds which would have had the game tied. In a tied game I doubt they take a bunch of personal foul penalties because the guys are frustrated and letting emotions get to them. It's funny cause when this team is up they don't take personal foul penalties, it's only when they are down.
-
but the refs here said it was because he lunged at the thigh (yet hit the guy in the mid section). Obviously that Mike Pereira guy doesn't know what he's talking about
-
but now they don't call where the hit happened, it's where they player may have intended to make the hit.
-
the thigh???? What game were you watching? The hit was to the mid section which now is apparently low
-
your right, above the waste is low.......
-
so what's not low if the ribs are low and you can't hit the head?
-
the ribs are now low?
