if we get 3rd or 4th we might get young and/or leinhart to fall to us. we could trade that pick for someone's whole board and a pick next year. a decent GM with that kind of draft and the guys we have now (and the cap cash) could spin up a team better than we have seen since 1999 here.

hmm when travis was in this terrible O, he sucked hot but hole. when willis came in he tore it up (albeit in little hard runs, not on big runs). now that JP is learning, moulds is out, our entire right side is hurt and our playcalling is sh--, he isn't getting it done. frankly i think if we have mike williams at 100% we can run wills for 100+ every game. now we just can't. when we ditch kevin costner's tinkle drinking twin and tom "i drive better after i've had a couple" donnahoe we may well see mcgahee and crew look like an NFL team
-
i dunno, when mike williams has been in and healthy mcgahee has been able to put up yards in an O where travis got shut down and one of the worst Os in the NFL. get a coach who knows his head from his ass and we might have someting on our hands.

i think the way you draft for need is in a broad area: we need secondary we need pass rushers, run stuffers we need to upgrade on these positions: blah, blah, blahblah on D or the online your whole is greater than the sum of the parts, adding a solid guy almost always pays dividends. new england is the best example of that. a couple guys go down on D and they suck, a coulple guys come back and they are solid of the past few weeks. we saw how a couple guys super charged our D from 02 to 03 (spikes adams milloy, posey is meh), and how losing a couple guys destroyed our O and D (from 02 to 03, from 04 to now on D).

sometimes you just need a change of scenery. a fresh batch of coaches might supercharge our team!

we spanked miami last year and did a good job this year. we split with them and obviously should have won that last game. you put some solid coaching on the bills, let losman run an O designed for him to succeed in, and bring in a DC who has a clue and we are instantly better. you throw in some new blood on both lines (i expect 3-5 new SOLID players, 2 or 3 in FA, the rest in the draft) and experience for our tripplets and we are back in the mix. miami went from crap to middle of the pack with one draft and a new coach, we are still better than miami was last year and can make a big step up.l

it is pretty clear some of our players have given up, i think that includes our o line. they have prolly been ripped and told they suck, so now they are just not trying. also, i have decided VAbills is right, mcnally ain't sheet
-
all of our coaches deserve to be punched in the balls
-
they are called holding whites. they are tall slow white guys who can't catch a cold and get called for holding penalties. very good ones will only hold on big runs where their hold did nothing and false start once in a while too. rare gifted ones will be in motion EVERY SINGLE PLAY fooling no one but making the offense worse. we have great holding whites.
-
wait our D was very very good last year. all we lost was phat pat, and then had injuries to edwards and spikes. crowell has been better than expected and mcgee has come on it aint the talent

they are making jokes about jimmy coming here on the fox half show

Mike Williams.... why is he a bust?

look at our team when he is in vs when he is not. he is a HUGE part of our running game. i say we keep him cheaper than he is now and draft a good LT, and sign hutch and bently. we'll figure out what to do with peters, he could still be a decent tight end (couple passes here and there, lots of blocking). never hurt pitts to have a massive TE smash people in the mouth, we might as well get them all out there. -
i don't think grey has an IQ of over 85
-
i just hope one of the big three fall to us and we trade down and pick up the best DT and some more picks. with our round2-3 we should take a couple few some big people. we also need AT LEAST one of Bently, Hutch in FA
-
if bush or leinart or young are on the board when we pick we should trade the pick for picks/players. we have 4 day 1 picks now, might get one more for clements (maybe a 3rd). if we get a couple more we can take 2 good guys in the first (LT and DT) and shotgun for lbs safeties and EVEN MORE linemen
-
now losman is dejected and just putting the ball up for grabs in desperation. shades of how bledsoe looked in buffalo. it's pretty clear our coaches are all walking abortions. they are all sh--

oh that's nice! on that last play (rescued by the roughing call) mcgahee looks like he might be hurt!! and i like the call AND excecution! our entire line slants right (i guess mularky wants to see who on O can play D line!) leaving covlin AND seymore free on the right hand side, with mcgahee back to block and shelton out to catch a pass! wow, we fooled em so bad they committed a penalty! aren't there any psychos in buffalo who would assasinate these coaches?

every play i count the number of NE WRs that WE KNOW will have a free release. how do we know? because the DB is 5-10 yards off the line. every play our blitz can't get there (only 3 or 4 plays we have had behind the line came from aaron doing something or a LB shooting a gap, not from an overload) and so brady just goes accross from left to right and just throws to the one WR who runs up and in, out, or back. every damn play. grey, mularky, clements, TD, and everyone with a job for the bills management (except april and MAYBE wyche) needs to eat glass. god they suck. i remember in 02 when our O was hot our D was like madden on easy, they always showed exactly what they were gonna do every play. they still do. grey f@#@ing sucks
-
OK, why do people say mcnally is good? i think he sucks. sure we have some scrubs, but he is involved in selecting them, and he hasn't done jack. frankly he has never coached a smart smash mouth or crafty blocking team ala alex gibbs (the guy in atlanta). our line stinks, our protections stink. the following coaches should have a job in buffalo next year: Bobby April. that's it

"Alot" isn't a word Dr Correctvorkian!!

Mike Williams.... why is he a bust?

if he can play well when healthy then it still makes sense to keep him in buffalo as a RT and more peters to LT. if we get 2 FA stars for the line and keep peters, Gandy and mike we could actually have a solid line. -
flutie fans can eat schit. moulds rescued ducks that flutie chucked out and ran them for TDs. at least 3 TDs in 98 came from 5-10 yard passes where eric broke tackles and took it 50+ to the house for a score. thurman was our back up RB, we had all the weapons that bledsoe did when he set all those franchise records, and our D was insane. we had pat williams and wiley as back ups. THEY WERE BACKUPS AND THEY ENDED UP IN THE PROBOWL IN LATER YEARS!! our secondary was solid, and our linebackers would terrorize other teams. we had a strong conservative 3-4 D that just took other teams out of their game plan. we had the best damn D line in football and that's why we won. remember jeff garcia? he did 2 times as much as flutie ever did, but has been exposed for a below average NFL QB. why? because he had good players around him rescuing his ass and has sucked ever since leaving. jeff's fairy ass also showed up and won playoff games. flutie is the same thing, but more overrated and more of an @sshole.

I'll assume you and GG were just debating the economic theory involved, but it did get hard to tell who was schilling for thier side of aisle and who was looking to make and read points (not saying it is you two, but the way these debates splinter up it gets tough to follow). Getting lost in the minutia is fine, i do it all the time. anyhow i think there are two important points in tax cuts and revenue: 1. There is a deadweight cost in taxation. Just taxing parties will reduce total output. with 100% government efficiency we'd still be worse off as an economy with taxation (assuming the economy doesn't need the rights enforcement that government provides at all). 2. The balanced budget multiplier is ZERO. what this means is that even if the money multiplier is true, since the "new" money spent into the economy by the government came out of the economy in the first place, you remove as much of the multiplier effect as you have added. the common argument against point 2 is that the government will take money from people who are less likely to spend it. the problem with that is the money would be invested, which in turn means it is used and eventually spent. unless it is stuck under a matress it will end up as part of the economy.

Bal, Ind and Chi on the road look now like our toughest games. I think indy will come way down after this season, but I still see that as a loss. Chi COULD come down, they have had these super hot years with no O before and fell apart quickly afterward. I think Bal will get a high pick (vince young would super charge that O from terrible to about average!!) and even with reed and lewis out they have a top 5 D this year!!! If we go 1-2 out of those games and stay in them all I'd be happy.
