i'll take our team right now with a good productive off season martz as OC, assistant head coach haslett HC someone good as GM i'll be happy and the bills will be good and exciting.
-
he has been up and down for sure. for me the thing is he was just god aweful in the first 4 games. after that, he had some sparks and has thrown 3 TDs in a single quarter. he is also the second most athletic QB in the NFL. mix in the fact that our O is about the 4th worst in the NFL (read that as meaning bad big men and HORRIBLE coaching), i'll keep losman

Haslett seeking 5 year contract extension.

yeah, he isn't the best ever BUT what i want to know is why he could not be good here at all. i think he will improve and get some things done -
Haslett seeking 5 year contract extension.

you know, i'd really like to hear some concrete reasons or examples why haslett sucks. does anyone know what happened with la'roi glover, johnson, or Roaf? haslett managed to take NO to the highest level of achievement they have ever had. Ditka couldn't do anything with them either, and haslett was saddled with Ditka's drafts (turley, ricki williams, some real disruptive goofs). i honestly think guys learn from mistakes and haslett would be better here than in NO, and in NO he wasn't that bad. I also think haslett would get our lines up big time. -
wade builds all his Ds the same way (atlanta being the exception, but they are a dome team and he worked with what they had). He gets one giant quality guy in the middle (and often has a solid backup), and he has massive and mobile ends (both of his ends are smaller faster DTs converted, olshansky and castio, both are great). He also gets at least 1 or 2 quality play making LBs. He just builds his team from the middle of a 3-4 line and one or two play making LBs and that makes the rest look better than they are. meriman seems like a super charged bryce paup. i really think with a new DT and with edwards and Spikes back (not to mention crowell replacing Posey) we could have an upgrade in D similar to what SD has had this year

We could be a Turnaround Team soon

i agree here is my list Hutch Bently in FA Grady in FA (wow, if only a guy like pat williams was in FA this offseason!) draft Ngata, Draft a SS and LB early Cut and resign williams if moulds must go, replace him with stallworth or wayne. Draft an LT with our 2nd keep clements if we can, sign a guy like Abraham in FA, complete our pass rushing line. job #1 is to get a new GM and new coaches bam, there we have a team with 2 good lines and plenty of young talent to work with -
i think our D schemes are horrible. troy has dissapointed this year, but he is still a decent cover guy. ever since grey got here our corners play 10 yards off and our safties are ALWAYS chasing guys who catch easy balls in the soft spots of the zone. i really think our coaching has to be stripped. these same guys decided pat and antoine were expendable, and made bledsoe look horrible while he has a legit shot at the pro bowl this year.

that's a good point we never do simple stuff like stunts, disguised coverages, cloud coverage, rolling coverage to a player as an adjustment in the game effectively. even when we put 8 in the box we seem to always blitz milloy on the outside and let anything up the middle or a cutback go for big yards. speaking of which, is there a player who blitzes more for less results in the NFL than milloy?

9 carries, 36 yards.... Nice attack...

willis was making some good runs straight up the gut, quickly followed by putting in shaud and 2 yard passes on 3rd and 4 by holcomb the scared qb -
i do remember clements getting torched when he was in press once too. i think grey has moved away from his schemes to a plain vanilla D. it worked pretty well when we first put it in against carolina, but you can't just play a good team vanilla all game and get get exploited a few times. i also think grey's schemes looked better than the were last year and before because of the insane talent we had on D, now with a few injuries and departures there aren't enough studs to cover up the holes in his D

did you see the game in NE? he got sacks, pressure and forced a fumbe that we recovered on brady. i made a statement that IF/WHEN we have better players on the line he will be able to make a big impact and get to the pro bowl. take a look at how many sacks he has in his career, his whole career has been for a grey D, and out of 5 years 3 have been just god aweful. he could very well make it to the pro bowl all he has to do is crack about 13 or 14 sacks (he had 11 and a half one year). god, you are a miserable one aren't you?
-
wha!?!?!? 10 sacks so far, playing the run very well, drops in coverage and makes plays (he even had a pick in the 4th quarter in Miami). have you counted how many sacks simeon rice, peppers, or freeny have this year on much better schemes and with much better guys around them? don't be a playa hater

Why is Shaud Williams in therr for Willis
colin replied to Billzfan23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
mularky is a genious he uses packages and motion to get us into the bottom 5 in O in the NFL -
HAHA!
-
just so i can say i made one positive post in this thread: on that play schobel covered the reciever, and had him blanketed. aaron is a real player, on a bad line and in a scheme that asks more of him than it should. once we get Ngata in here and edwards back, along with someone who knows D (haslett is my pick) we are gonna see schobel in hawaii
-
wow 5 flags on motion and shifts WR screen with no cushion by the DB a run for 8 up the gut by willis (and not the first one) leads to 3 cutesy short passes. mike mularky is a freaking retard.
-
right when they say holcomb gives the bills a better chance to win holcomb takes a horrible sack (of course it was off side so it didn't count) but it shows how he just doesn't have any guts, he is affraid to throw it sometimes. willis looks fine by the by
-
god mularky is a sheet head. effing shaud williams show. our last 3 rns have been without willis on the field, and he was out for last 3rd down as well. god i can't wait for mularky and his band of retards to get the eff out of town
-
hmmm you know, i wonder if we are gonna get a better WR for OUR TEAM than moulds for 5 bucks. might have to giv e him a blend and extend.

Am I the only one who thinks Losman is better?
colin replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think JP is still skitish. he gets upset about bad play and falls apart (you could see it in the miami and pats games). he still throws balls all over the place. that said, holcomb is gutless and with the right side of our line being hurt resulting in no running game i'm pretty sure he will be sacked and fumble a few times. -
i'll take haslett NO has won ONE SINGLE PLAYOFF GAME EVER. that was under haslett. sure the wheels have come off, but the idea is they always come off. haslett would get some linemen in here and get a bit of a pissed off attitude as well. he would also pour his heart out into the job, something that will inspire players.
-
i could see us cutting and resigning him to a lower incentive laden contract. if we add hutch and bently (or even one of them really) in FA AND keep mike we will have a VERY solid run blocking line and much better than we have had in about a decade in pass blocking as well. if we also draft Ngata, keep edwards and sam, and get grady or someone like that in FA we will have a MUCH better D line as well. we could go from bad to very good on both of our lines this offseason and really set the table for our young talent to shine.

I think MM should be retained.
colin replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if willis didn't come off the bench to rescue the bills O last year mularky would be about 10 games below 500 right now. the funny thing is they took 4 games to start willis. this year they start losman, instead of holcom, and losman was clearly not ready. MM is the guy on both those choices and he just blew it. that mixed with a lack of adjustments shows me a coach who has no effing clue what he is doing. -
With the #4 pick in the 2006 draft
colin replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
brooks is such a whore. he holds the ball ALL DAMN DAY! deuce and horn and stallworth are some studs, and they have ALWAYS had a great line, but NO really F'ed up IMO with brooks. they could have signed a few guys at different times that would have made them much better.
