Marshall Faulk played in this offense for how many years? -
Are you Kidding Me?
SamsBuffetTable replied to BuffaloBilliever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it's because almost everybody on the board hasn't seen the game, but they feel some need to post like they are an authority based on the radio and the stat sheet. -
They were trying out Shaud at KR against Carolina to try to find more reasons to keep him. I didn't think that he looked very good returning kicks.

Will we ever see teams forced out
SamsBuffetTable replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't remember the link but there are a few statistical papers written about the subject that state that due to: salary cap concerns, out of controll pay scale for early picks, and the bust rate of picks at a given draft position, It is better for a team to have a mid to late first round pick or to trade down. -
He cut Posey not only because he didn't fit the system, but also because there is another linebacker on the team who is younger that fits his system extremely well. Since there is no reason to adjust your system for the sole benefit of your second string linebacker Posey got cut.

I'm all for using it in spurts in order to keep favorable matchups on the field.

Observations From the Play-by-Play
SamsBuffetTable replied to JDG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the blocked punt was by an unblocked man. It had nothing to do with the longsnapper. -
I would love BB.com if they didn't require you to sign up as a billbacker to see half of the site content and if they didn't use realplayer.

Mularkeys biggest problem was his inability to adjust on the fly. He was very good at scripting opening drives, as can be seen by the high rate of opening drive success for the bills in the last year. Unfortunately for the Bills the other team would make adjustments to his playcalls and he wasn't adaptable enough to make adjustments to compensate for the defenses adjustments.

I just vomited a little in my mouth thinking about that Eddie Robinson play.

not saying I like it, just telling it like it is.

WGR carries Sabres games. WGR does not carry Bills games. I wonder why they talk about the Sabres more? Espn does not carry hockey. I wonder why ESPN showed very few hockey playoff highlights?

Should McGee return Kickoffs this year???
SamsBuffetTable replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have a gm that has aloways stressed special teams more than any coach in the league and our assistant head coach is the special teams head coach. Is there anybody who really thinks that we will not be using the best kick returner in the league to return kickoffs? -
can someone clear this up for me

Chances are that pot caused the postiive since it can be detected for up to 6 weeks after the last smoke, depending on how heavy a smoker you are and personal chemistry. Most other drugs can't be detected much after 48 hours. -
I think that we have good reasons to be optimistic about this OC hireing. Mike Martz is one of the best in the league at designing plays, but at times he is too stubborn to make the correct in game call. (remember the playoff game when he ran out the clock to go into overtime, or his lack of desire to ren the ball) What we have here is a guy that could have easily copied much of the Rams excellent playbook, but who has background as a RB coach. I would hope that this background will increase his desire to balance the offense that he learned while working in St. Louis. Which would put him in the position to make good decisions about offensive game management.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Damien. Here's hopeing that the Jets pick you up as their new GM. -
Donahoe to be fire today?????
SamsBuffetTable replied to billsboys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am so sick of people saying that Donahoe did a respectable job because JimKellysJockStrap on some message board says that he thought that the move was a good idea at the time. GMs aren't hired to make decisions that are popular with the fans. They are supposed to make decisions that allow their team to win. I don't care who thought that the Fat Mike move was good at the time. Donahoe had much more information availible to him than any internet warrior who ranked his draft. Therefore the mistake of the internet warrior is excuseable but not the mistake of the highly paid GM. -
I think that Mr Mortenson has been leaving his possesions in Mike Irvins glove compartment.

I wasn't at the game, but you have to be dumber than a bag of hammers to not expect that this game was going to have a huge amounts of drunks at it.

We have: A depressingly bad team. A night game on a Saturday. A very cold night. A game which you know you are knowing to lose. The second string QB starting. Gee I'm really surprised that some people at this game drank too much

Finger Pointing is easy with this team
SamsBuffetTable replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh also the positions of the most important players on a team have not changed. The game is won in the trenches. You can't make a great pass play without blocking. The problem is that it is hard to grade talent at these important positions because there are even less good statistics for the lazy man to sort through in spreadsheets.
