  1. You’re the owner of this God D** franchise, show some b*lls. Hiring from the Detroit Lions is like GE looking for managers at the latest migrant workers’ line at Home Depot. Jauron’s resume is not on the same plant with Sherman yet we hire this guy. It is really amazing how deeply this organization has sunk. Frankly, Mike Malurkey would have been better than this guy and MM was dead right with disagreeing in the direction of this organization. This team needed something positive to happen with this move, but instead they go out and hire a proven loser that went 1-7 against his top interview competition. What is a better example of capabilities than head-to-head match ups? Even in Jauron’s 13-3 season, Sherman beat him twice. On top of this, Sherman is a big advocate of our young quarterback, he had GM and player personnel experience etc. This decision reeks of cronyism and is just another bad move in a long list of bad moves by this organization. Marv found his puppet just like Donahoe had his.
  2. Agreed, this is a big joke. The team at this point needs some creditability and hiring another question mark for a coach is not going to get it done. Sherman is a proven winner, beat this guy like a dog in head to head match-ups, yet we go with the underdog? Money, cronyism, Ivy League buddies, next-door neighbors, whatever, it is the wrong move again! Also, don’t give me the “we don’t know football BS leave it to the experts at OBD” line, this stuff is not rocket science. Jauron’s resume is simply not in the same zip code as Sherman’s yet the geniuses at OBD pick the later. Objectivity certainly wasn't part of their criteria.
  3. However, in his best and only winning season Mike Shermans packers beat them twice. Just thought I would point out another reason Jauron shouldnt be the guy out side of hin going 1-4 as an interim coach with the lions. He has loser written all over him!!!!!!!! You make an excellent point. In addiiton, Sherman is 7 and 1 against Jauron life time.
  4. I also have to believe Sherman would be more attractive to free agents. Regardless of the money, players want to see the organization moving in the right direction and I don't think Jauron provides that image. I believe Sherman had a good relationship with Favre who is a legend in this league. Business decisions need to be made without emotion and I believe Marv is practicing cronyism in this situation.
  5. Agree. Peyton Manning being your illustration this past weekend. It would also help to have a tightend that could occupy a safety every now and then.
  6. The one concern I have, I heard this from Jaws on ESPN, is his accuracy. I was amazed how Big Ben was able to put some balls in very tight spots this past weekend and I have not seen that from JP yet. The quick slants in the red zone and the seam routes require a lot of accuracy in this league because of the speed on defense, thus accuracy is a concern to me.
  7. Agreed. He has an arm, mobility, and he works hard in the film room. There is no doubt he has been mismanaged by MM. Not playing him in the last 3 games made no sense. It is amazing how poor OL play was the main story in the Indy game this weekend, yet JP is playing behind arguably the worst line in the league and that is not taken into consideration. I believe if Sherman is hired, this guy could have a great career with Buffalo.
  8. I agree, I think JP has a lot of upside with the proper coaching and offensive players surrounding him.
  9. What is the consensus out there, disaster or positive move? There must be some friction at OBD because things need to come together quickly for college scouting and building the staff and they are taking a lot of time. The interviews in the last 2 days were nothing more than fulfilling compliance matters with the league. What bothers me is this guy is 1 and 7 against Sherman head to head.
  10. Then why the winning streak when Brad Johnson took over?
  11. Please, even before his knee injury he was a middle of the road QB. All he did was throw 50-50 balls to Randy Moss.
  12. I agree, I wish our owner took that approach or had that desire to win.
  13. I recall one of the greatest compliments ever by Howie Long, then a Raider: "We knew exactly what was coming, but we couldn't stop it!" Best single performance he could ever recall by a football team.
  14. The Dolphins will likely bring in experienced offensive coordinators such as Mike Mularkey, who resigned from the Bills recently and has ties to the area. -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel
  15. I really would question Ron Rivera's abilities? Any guy that puts single coverage on Steve Smith, especially when the team has no other weapons, is clearly not qualified for a Head Coaching job.
  16. I disagree. He called a great game and clearly showed why he has been to 6 AFC Championships. Note his commitment to power football! I love the way that organization selects talent and their overall style of play. It never changes. This is the stuff that Malurkey and Donahoe preached to us but never executed on! In addition, they had two very bad calls go against them.
  17. Why bother, a statement like that says enough about the incompetency here. I won't want to take him away from washing is "balls out" Kelly Halcomb throwback jersey.
  18. I will say one thing, Samuels is one of the best corners in the league.
  19. Your right, he made the correct move for him. He was having Levy jammed down his throat and people around the league knew that, thus, rightfully so, nobody was interested in tying their boat to Malurkey's dock. One wrong move in this next season and he would have been gone anyways. What should have happened was to can Malurkey along with TD. However, cheapo Wilson did probably save himself $2 mil. with the resignation. The old man is a smart SOB when it comes to money!
  20. My point is, if we can tolerate Modrak operating from Jacksonville, which I don't like and agree with Mularkey's comment about the fact decision makers in the org. don't live in Buffalo, then why don't we go after JJ and let him operate from Isle Marada in the Keys.
  21. Big mistake by this franchise! This guy is a brickhead.
  22. A big paycheck and some equity in the team would lure that snake out of hiding! I once heard a saying, a "man that dies rich lived a very poor life." Ralph is sitting on about $550 million in equity with the Bills, I am sure parting with about 10% to JJ wouldn't hurt. It is money better spent than leaving it for some Paris Hilton "type" grand child!
  23. One thing I have to agree with Mularkey is he did say it is tough to do business with a GM in Florida and the owner in Detroit. If these guys like the work from home approach then why don't we pony up some cash and let JJ work from the back of his 60 ft. Hatteress. At least we would get some quality on draft day.
  24. Thank you for the kind words! I was calling for Donahoe's job right after the Mularkey signing, that move told me everything I needed to know about where TD was going. I am actually disappointed I haven't received any calls for help from One Bills Drive. Dragon, have you been approached?
