  1. Thanks for the info. Dave.
  2. Do you mean credits to get the $49 price or some others that would drop the price even further? Thanks, Dave.
  3. I thought I saw it in an earlier thread but can't find it now. Somebody posted that people that had Sunday Ticket last year can get a discount on the upgrade package that includes Sunday Ticket Shortcuts. Could somebody please post a link to that post or repost the information? I can't deal with the commercials any more! Also, could somebody also tell me if there are set times that the 30 minute version of each game is shown or if all are shown at the same time and you can pick and choose which one to watch at a given time? Thanks in advance. Dave.
  4. I agree. Dave.
  5. All Bills road games are shown on local TV in Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse. All home sellouts are shown in Buffalo and Rochester. Home games not sold out won't be shown in any of the 3 markets. (F*cking CBS - when CBS took over the AFC broadcasts, the league relooked at which broadcasts carried within 75 miles of each hometeam's stadium. Because of one small sliver of territory (7 houses and 1 defunct restaurant) that fell within the 75 mile radius, they started blacking out Syracuse. They changed that territory to Rochester market officially the next year, but Ralph and the league would not budge on allowing Syracuse to show blacked out games.) The 2 Fox games, if sold out, MIGHT not be shown in Syracuse - depends on which network has the doubleheader and what time the Bills and Giants games are on. (Syracuse Fox shows Giants preferentially.) Dave.
  6. They did in the past at the superbowls. Dave.
  7. The thing that surprised me is that he said he throws up at the beginning of EVERY game! I was not aware of that. With all the sideline reporters and WGR (and prior to that WNSA & Empire) and all the other local sports reporters, how come I have to watch NFL network to hear about that? Or is it so well known, that all the local reporters think that is no longer news? Dave.
  8. I haven't watched NBC news (except for Russert) in a long time, but after watching Williams on Scarborough, I can honestly say it will be a VERY long time before I do. (I was just flipping through the dial to get different takes on the speech.) The whole 5 minutes he was on, he couldn't contain his desire to s**t on Bush. It was like watching a traffic accident. Did anyone else see it, and if so, am I missing something? This is supposed to be the head of one of the major news departments in the country; shouldn't he at least try to PRETEND to be objective? Dave.
  9. His 58.3% in Buffalo is STILL better than Lindell's career 55.7% and is immensely better than Lindell's 38.5% in Buffalo. Dave.
  10. With the Bills, he is 5 of 13. (But so far this year he is 1 of 1. Let's hope he keeps it up. The Bills will need it.) I don't care what he did for Seattle. It's ancient history. Dave.
  11. Maybe it's gone downhill. 10 years ago, when I lived there it was very good. Haven't had it from there in a long time. Over in Rochester, J&J's in Perinton is very good. None of them compare w/ LaPaloma's though. Dave.
  12. Number 1 far and away: LaPaloma's in Alden. Number 2: Blasdell Pizza. Dave.
  13. You aren't suggesting the Bills eat the only food (besides pickles) that is a known primary source of pickle juice are you? Between 1/3 of the players puking for a week, another 1/3 on the can for a week straight, and the other 1/3 with their intestines bound in a tight knot and in the hospital, all the Bills would have left are Lindell (known to hate Retatta) and the practice squad (not allowed to eat Retatta - "haven't earned it, Rookie")! Bad things man. Bad things. Dave.
  14. Hey, show Dick some respect. It's J - E - S - T JEST - JEST - JEST! Dave.
  15. I included the Hostetler play because I have no f*cking idea how the SOB held onto the ball. That should have been 7. (yeah, yeah, I know: would've, should've, could've) Also, I think it happened before the safety, but Hostetler was nearly knocked out of the game. I remember seeing him sniffing smelling salts on the sideline with Cavanaugh warming up. Great, now I'm pissed and depressed!!! Dave.
  16. Well, it'll be interesting to see if he does wear a cast when he comes back. I just would be very surprised that wearing a cast wouldn't adversely affect his ability to catch the ball. I've seen several d-backs play with casts, but can't recall ever seeing a wideout play with one (not saying it doesn't happen, just saying I can't recall seeing it). Dave.
  17. So THAT'S Reed's problem?!? Dave.
  18. There were FAR too many plays that could have changed the game to pick one and say "That's the play that cost us that Superbowl". They include: Bennett dropping sure interception and probable touchdown on drive that gives Giants their last FG; not getting Hostetler to drop the ball on the safety; Reed's drop when he got hammered the next time the Bills got the ball; the dropped pass to the TE on that series; Lofton bobbling the ball on the bomb he caught instead of catching it clean and going into the endzone; 2 or 3 other 3rd and forevers that kept Giants drives going; Kelly getting shaken up on and having to waste a timeout on the last drive; and Bills losing about 12 seconds when the officials reviewed McKellar's catch. I'm sure there are a few others, but I'm trying to forget that game! Also, if I'm not mistaken, Talley's elbow had gotten messed up in the Raiders blowout and his whole arm was taped up. I don't know how much that effected him, but that is about the only game I can remember where he missed tackles. Dave.
  19. When Talley came into the league, he was playing for the STUPIDEST man to ever coach a football team in his defensive coordinator and then head coach Hank "They took the sails out of our wind" Bullough. I don't think anyone could have become an impact player with that ignoramus running the show. Heck, Bullough would bench him. How are you supposed to be an impact player when you aren't even on the field? Dave.
  20. Moulds, Haggan, and Fletcher came out for the coin toss. Dave.
  21. I like the helmets too, but instead of calling them the "grazing buffalo" helmets; I think they should be referred to as the "Bledsoe memorial helmets" because they look like a statue of a Buffalo, kind of like Drew. I also agree that old style for blue unis and a newer style for white would be good. But they have to do something about the stupid blue squares on their shoulders. The jerseys look like a bad high school uni or something the Titans would consider wearing (even worse). Dave.
  22. How often do wide receivers play with casts on their wrists? Wouldn't that cut down on his ability to catch the football? I do expect to see Parrish back by week 4 or 5, but would be surprised to see him wearing a cast. I also do not expect to see him return kicks until about November when the Bills braintrust is confident that the wrist is fully healed. Dave.
  23. Yes, Bush admitted that the federal government did not do everything perfectly. He did NOT say, nor should he have, that the feds were the only ones that made mistakes. The article continued: So the reporter or the person putting this article together didn't listen to what Bush said. (Big surprise there.) What I got out of this is that Bush said there were problems at all levels, any problems at the Federal level stop with him, that a post operation review is required, and that the people (at all levels) working on this are still trying to save lives. All of which sounds reasonable to me. What I seem to be reading of the article writer's interpretation is: ALL PROBLEMS ARE THE FEDS FAULT. BUSH BAD. BUSH ADMITS BUSH BAD. What the h*ll did I miss? Because I did not get the same take from Bush's statements that the article writer got. Dave.
  24. So what? Bledsoe played well for the Bills his 1st 8 games and then the 1st 2 games of the next season. He more or less did bubkis the rest of the time. He could be the NFC offensive player of the year (but we all know he won't) and I would still think that the Bills made the right decision this off season. Dave.
  25. J-E-S-T J-E-S-T JEST - JEST - JEST I ain't rooting for them. I'm rooting AGAINST the Fish. Dave.
