I have to agree with you guys. I think he's going to be really good but...his history of injuries and missed games is really alarming and should not be overlooked. It was a huge mistake this season having Losman as the backup, as he sucks ass and pretty much averages two fumbles a game. Get a vet as a backup and grab a later round prospect QB...you can never have enough capable quarterbacks imo.

Because for supposedly being such a smart guy he makes some really stupid and costly mistakes. Forgetting the snap count, trying to snap it up his own ass, fighting with opposing players when it's time to kick a field goal, and just plain getting manhandled.

Watching him tonight against the Colts was amazing. He makes our safeties look like they belong on the practice squad, seriously. He's all over the field...Breaking up passes, blitzing the quarterback, making big hits and tackles not only in the secondary but at the line of scrimmage as well. The Chargers gave up a lot to pick this guy a few years back and it looks like it was a really smart move. I'd take him over anybody we got.

That is exactly why our coaches will never succeed. They pass over great players because they don't "fit the scheme" Good coaches get the BEST players and fit their "scheme" to the talent they have. Just my opinion. EDIT - Didn't see your post Dr. Fong...you are right on!

25 years old. Became a fan in 90' and I'm not optimistic at all because what's the point? This franchise will never do what it takes to "win at any and all costs" I still get tricked into being optimistic each and every year, though next year it will be hard to be.
