  1. I agree that he has great potential.

    But he also needs a line... he isn't like Marshawn or Freddie in that he can take contact at the line and truck/maneuver forward 3 or 4 yards. He needs open space to work with, and our management has no interest in putting a decent offensive line together.

    CJ Spiller would be one of the best runners in the league on another team.

    I never really thought about that. I just figured, for sure we would have to take a QB, but you're right about the money.

    Maybe we'll end up trading away our first pick for a couple mediocre bench players from other teams?

    I agree wholeheartedly that the best QB in the world will be victimized behind a suspect offensive line. BUT, the great QBs still manage to find ways to make plays even with shoddy protection. I would have to mention Aaron Rodgers and Ben Rothlisberger as my two main examples. Both QB's have suspect offensive lines yet continually make great play after great play. I think that if the Bills really do end up with the first pick, (which is a very real possibility), that they will go the route of taking a QB with the first pick. And if they do, then I hope to God that they are smart enough to at least draft a LT with the 2nd pick, or acquire one via Free agency. I think Wood and Levitre are solid, and if we can draft someone to replace Wood's spot, which I believe he will move to center, and a couple of tackles, we really could have a GOOD offense!! Not great, but good!

    Now defense is another story. Outside of our cornerbacks, we need players at pretty much every position..... <_<

  2. We will be taking a QB, or at least that's the common perception.

    So far its obvious the management has no interest in bringing in decent players, or keeping decent players.

    Likely, our line stays the same, or somehow gets worse. We lose Lynch to free-agency, and Freddie is getting old. Spiller looks to be not very useful outside of the return game.

    We draft a stud QB.

    Likely we will draft Leaf vs Manning, but lets say we get the Manning... do you think he will be any good here? And if he is, do you think the Bills would actually re-sign him when his rookie contract is up?

    Prediction: We choose the "wrong" QB. Keep our ****ty line. And the QB gets released within 2-3 years. Just look at our history of first round busts over recent years. (yes, I know it's early to call Spiller a bust, but it's looking like he's not really ready for anything but returns)

    I do feel that we should take a QB with the first pick provided one of the studs is there, (Mallett, Luck, Locker). I think you have to take a QB. But I don't share your sentiment that CJ is only useful on returns. I think this kid is going to be a dynamic RB when he's actually given the chance. Heck he hardly gets out there, and I think alot of that is that Chan is trying to showcase Marshawn or Freddy as a trade potential.

  3. Can't the OP think of another subject to post about besides this nonsense?

    Face it, Kelsay didn't deserve the previous extension the Bills handed to him for basically doing nothing.

    He's a non-entity on the field. A void. You might as well just play with 10 guys and throw a shovelful of manure down where Kelsay lines up. At least there's a chance an opposing RB or WR might slip in it.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

  4. I have to agree with you that we just don't have a very talented team. I will always be a Bills fan, but this is the first time in a very long time that I have actually thought about us losing every game just to guarantee us a shot at a franchise quarterback. I would not be the least bit upset if we didn't win a game this year. Luck, Locker, or Mallett are ALL qb's who I feel would give us the franchise qb we're all craving. But until we address the tackle positions, and find a tight end that actually knows how to get open and catch a ball, our offense will continue to stink it up.

  5. I'm one of the most optimistic people I know, and for the first time probably ever, I think the Bills are going to get MURDERED on Sunday. Murdered with a capital M. Green Bay gritted out a tough road victory to open the season, and now they get back to the friendly confines of Lambeau Field, where the crowd will be absolutely insane. Aaron Rodgers had a very pedestrian-like day (188 yds, 2 TD, 2 INT's) and was PISSED with his performance. Did you read his post-game comments? "I played terrible. It was as bad as I can play. I've got to be better."

    In my opinion the only saving grace we have in this game is our secondary is pretty good. I don't expect Rodgers to pass for 400 yards, but i wouldn't be shocked to see him put up 300 and 3 TDs, mainly because of our lack of pressure.

    Green Bay's defense is going to have a field day. Clay Matthews looked like a man possessed. I hope he doesn't knock Trent out of the game.

    I will be walking on cloud nine Sunday if the Bills win..but my guess the score Sunday will be 38-10. Just my two cents...

  6. Wow! A cogent post from Deerball.

    Here's my guess as to what will happen early in the game tomorrow;

    The Bills win the toss and elect to receive. David Nelson gets it to the 27 yard line. The starting Offense comes out. TE fakes a handoff to CJ and throws to LE who's separated from his man and is flying down the field!! The ball lands in his hands as he runs full stride into the endzone. Ya heard it here first.

    Then the D makes the Dollfans run, run, pass but Terrance McGee jumps the route and strides into the endzone for an easy TD. Ya heard it here first.

    David Nelson is our starting kick returner?

  7. I enjoy marinating them in a nice ginger teriyaki marinade for a couple hours, then pan searing them with just a touch of olive oil...mmm...

    As far as the Dolfeens, I would love to hang 50 on them, by adding 243 yards rushing, 312 yards passing, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and a special teams touchdown for sh!ts and giggles...

    EFFFFFF YOU DOLFEEEEENN!!
