You read my mind! That's exactly what I was planning on doing if I didn't get an invite soon after the break. Luckily we got put in the same group for a project so I have a feeling it will come up sometime when we're working on it. Even if not, who the hell is going to turn down some free Blues!?

It's crazy that this team is so complete you sometimes forget about the injured guys that are supposed to be the "better" players on the team. Every time a Dumont or Briere goes down, there's a Pominville or a Novotny that steps up and contributes. I'm too lazy to find out for sure (and I don't know exactly how you'd do it) but I would imagine the Sabres have the widest "distribution" of their goals among their players. It seems like everyone on the team is going to finish with 15 goals! I think we have a really good thing going on here and it looks like it will be sustained for a number of years. It's such a nice change from the most recent teams we've had that would seem to fold their tents whenever things got rough. For me its to the point where I'm disappointed when there's a night without a game for me to sit at my computer and listen to. I envy all you that can actually watch all the games! I may have a chance to see them soon though as I met a kid in one of my classes who happens to be a big Sabres fan. He informed me that they get the center ice package at their place so they watch all the games. I'm hoping that after a few more days of talking about the previous night's game, I may get an invite to come watch

Can't wait to catch a playoff game when I'm done with school in a couple months! Hopefully the break doesn't mess up the team's flow, but I think they're too talented to hit a big skid. One thing's for sure, they sure don't look like the recent Sabres teams we've had! Go Swords!!!!!!!

...Was never a much of a wine fan until last weekend. My fraternity had our mom's weekend so all of our moms were in town. We did a wine tasting at a nice trendy bar here in town. It was a blast and I really liked all 4 wines we sampled. I even liked the reds! We were there for over 2 hours so everyone was feeling pretty good when we left.

I know some people hate these kinds of threads but I'm bored waiting for the Sabres game to start so cut me a break . I'm still feeling the fallout of last night a bit (quite a few cherry bombs & washington apple shots) so I'm going to get started with some alcoholic energy drink I saw at the store. It's like a Sparks and I think it's called four. After that got a sixer of Sam Adams cherry wheat and then probably out to the bars. What are you all drinking tonight for the game/party/relaxation, etc.?

Congrats to your son! Man I miss hockey. I still play at college (frat league and intramurals) and it's pretty good competition, but its just not the same as high school, travel, etc. Plus it's no check which really sucks!

I never understood the opposition to wearing your seatbelt. I mean the freakin thing is only going to save your life. It seems to me like people in my generation (teens-early 20's) are pretty good about it but people my parents age still fight it. I still have to B word to my dad sometimes to put his on.

I don't like Woody too much but you can at least tell that he doesn't take himself seriously. On ATH (which is awful as well), he'll throw out some rediculous arguments but you can tell he knows he's just being an ass.

I remember this summer when the thing came out about McNabb saying Farve shouldn't have gotten involved in the Javon Walker situation. During all the commercials leading up to SC, they'd plug it by saying "McNabb calls out Farve". Then when SC starts they air an interview with McNabb where the INTERVIEWER asked McNabb what he felt about the situation and he responded by saying something along the lines of "I don't think he should have gotten involved but its not my place to say." For some reason of all the sh-- like that they pull, that instance still pisses me off.

Hey, if it wasn't for posts like that would TSW even exist? Seriously though, I was just givin the guy a little crap because his confusing first post had a somewhat still confusing correction. I'm sure he wasn't sitting at his computer weeping after my reply. I know its crazy how sometimes people correct every little thing here, but I was just screwin around a bit. Did I ever mention anything about "if JP was behind Pitt's line" or "if we had that running game" or any other scenario like that? I agree 100% that in those hypothetical situations that it would be much different in assessing JP and Ben. I simply said at THIS POINT Ben is a much better QB. His pocket presence / awarness, accuracy, and ability to make a play for his team when they need it is far superior to JP's right now (and probably was last year when he was a rookie compared to JP this past year). I don't know why everyone is attacking my original statement (which I don't think any logical footbal fan would argue with) by throwing in all kinds of "what ifs". I simply replied to a post that suggested the Steelers getting to the SB was more a credit to the team than to Ben, and JP could have done the same. I disagree and maintain that at this point Ben is a better QB and had quite a bit to do with the team's success this year.

I thought Vincent was one of our worst defensive players on the field last year. There were tons of plays where he was supposed to be giving help and was always about 2 seconds late resulting in a big play. He seemed to have trouble timing his jumps and finding the ball in the air too. Seems like a good guy but if he's gone I won't loose any sleep over it.

Do you watch the games? Seriously, if you do and you can't see that at this point Ben is a MUCH better quarterback than JP, then you need your eyes tested.
