It's one guy's misguided opinion. I'm not too concerned over his opinion now, nor will I be concerned later in the season when he ranks the Sabres higher.
I'm more concerned with what Dallas thinks of them on Thursday and Pittsburgh thinks on Monday. Hopefully they come away thinking the Sabres are pretty good.
It's not even his opinion. He uses some mathematical formula for the rankings. Even simple math hates Buffalo.

Biron's Goals Against Average is at it's highest point and his Save Percentage at it's lowest since 1995-96. Blame some of this on the "new NHL" with better scoring opportunities. However, I was surprised to find these stats as in a few of these recent games (Montreal) Biron has come up with some big saves.
Take out Biron's stats against Ottawa and those number should look a lot better. I'm too lazy to do it myself right now.

They HAVE to make a deal.
Miller, Dumont and Briere are on injured reserve. Once they are healthy, the Sabres are required to activate them (part of the players agreement). Once one or more of them arre activated, someone has to be sent down to Rochester (if possible) or traded or waived. They are allowed to keep only 23 people on the active roster.
As part of the players agreement, most of the experienced players would have to be exposed to waivers before being sent to Rochester.
Briere was never placed on IR. Also, the Sabres are currently carrying 22 players (including Briere). When Miller is activated, no one has to be sent down. As for Dumont, that's so far off in the future, if he comes back at all this year. That is not a concern right now.

I never even noticed that they were Nike jerseys. Anyway, that's the general idea, tighter fitting jerseys.

If anyone saw the new style jerseys that team Canada unveiled earlier this year (before the NHL season started), you'd know that reebox was simply not ready to unveil them for the NHL. The Canadians wore them for one practice and quickly took them off. Half the players couldn't even get the tight fitting jerseys over their pads.
I'll have to search for the link with pictures of these monstrosities. The story made it very obvious that there was no way the new style jerseys would be used in the NHL this year.
edit: Found it

Roy was playing with Max and Vanek tonight. Roy and Max both had great games and looked really good together. Vanek didn't look so hot....I almost feel that if we get JP and Briere back soon, Vanek should spend a week or two in Rochester, and we can keep Pominville up. He just isn't working hard enough and needs a wakeup call.
No one will be sent down for a while now. We're dressing 11 forwards most nights now and when Briere returns, they'll bench one of the 7 defensemen. Peters will continue to be the only forward in the press box. If anyone gets sent down in about a month, it should be him.

All that matters is that they don't finish 8th. We need to avoid Ottawa as long as possible.
Anyway, don't get too far ahead of yourselves right now. It's still early in the year. Just sit back and enjoy the show (buy a few tickets too).

They got in a quick one, but it really wasn't important. I did think there was one thing they missed out on. Matt Lauer should've shown up to interview Cruise while he was in the closet. Just a quick reference would've been fine with me.

Scientology has a history with suing people. I wouldn't call it a dare. The whole purpose of the ending was to setup the joke in the credits.

Thanks for the heads up. I just placed my order.

If wanting to show respect to those who have died makes you a moron, I guess that makes me a moron.
For what it's worth, I have never listened to his show, so I didn't hear these comments. I just happen to think that it's prefectly reasonable for people to be upset when if a radio host disrespects someone who just died.

Here's my take on the whole situation. He doesn't think the story was newsworthy. That's fine, but why even talk about it if that's what you think?

Eddie was my 2nd favorite guy in the entire company. They're really going to miss him.

See My Vest
Burns: Some men hunt for sport,
Others hunt for food,
The only thing I'm hunting for,
Is an outfit that looks good...
See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest,
Feel this sweater, there's no better,
Than authentic Irish setter.
See this hat, 'twas my cat,
My evening wear - vampire bat,
These white slippers are albino
African endangered rhino.
Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtles' necks, I've got my share,
Beret of poodle, on my noodle
It shall rest,
Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two,
See my vest, see my vest,
See my vest.
Like my loafers? Former gophers -
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
But a greyhound fur tuxedo
Would be best,
So let's prepare these dogs,
Mrs. Potts: Kill two for matching clogs,
Burns: See my vest, see my vest,
Oh please, won't you see my vest.
I really like the vest.

Cape Feare is another one of my favorites.

The monorail episode is probably my favorite.
While we're bringing up quotes, I have to mention the one that almost always comes up in every day conersations with my friends.
-The doll is cursed.
-That's bad.
-But it comes with a free frogurt.
That's good!
-The frogurt is also cursed.
-That's bad.
-But you get your choice of toppings.
-That's good!
-The toppings contain potassium benzoate.
-...
-That's bad.
Nice goal by Breire!

Complain all you want, it was a goal. Marty's entire glove (except for maybe the padding over his wrist) was over the line. If they didn't have that overhead view, it wouldn't have counted, but oh well.
By the way, all replayed goals league-wide are reviewed in the NHL headquarters in Toronto. That has a lot to do with why the review took so long.
