He seems like he’s built like a tank. WR more in the Shakir mold than a speedster.

Hoping we trade up for Franklin.

I wanted Mitchell and McConkey, but with Coleman, Franklin is the fella I would take a shot on.
He wasn't my favorite, but it has to be an X and a Z. Franklin does fit the Diggs' profile, imo.

Keon Coleman is plenty athletic. You don’t play high level D1 basketball and football being a subpar athlete

Do you think he can play on the boundary and win? The players with his profile that have had success did so out of the slot.

How are they going to make that work and keep Kincaid on the field?

    vomit.

slower Gabe with slightly better hands? Beane being to clever by half me thinks.

He better be able to play on the boundary, because Kincaid is our big slot.

I'm a tad nervous because I've been pumping up Coleman as a great pick, and now if he sucks I'm gonna look stupid. But man his size and competitiveness and hands just get me really excited. Allen is a gunslinger. He just got his guy he can launch the ball to downfield 1v1.

I'm going to hold you personally responsible, but you'll be golden if he's good.

The Florida State football team used him on a ton of vertical rates and threw a bunch of jump balls to Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson. They abandoned the middle of the field for full games at times. If defenses know you’re running only a couple of routes and you’re not a burner you’re not going to separate. That has nothing to do with his ability to run a route tree just FSUs offense was very helter skelter for being a 13-0 team

Alright, fine. My answer is funnier.

The comp to Ladd is Diggs, except Ladd is much faster.

I so want Beane to find a way to get McConkey and Mitchell. Maybe we need Mitchell more, but McConkey is my favorite.

    Please no DeJean

    No Coleman

I'd prefer we just trade back another 3-5 spots so that Beane can get enough ammunition to get back in to the 2nd round

He's already in the second round at #60. He probably wants to move up from there and get two top forty picks.

He may very well be the pick.

But as for him always being "their guy" - he wasn't and isn't. "Their guy" to me implies someone that they love over others and had to have. It's clear with how they let WR needy teams have our picks to take WR's that they weren't worried which WR they took.

I've been notoriously against McConkey. But that was in comparison to Thomas, Legette, and Worthy - who I felt we'd have a shot at. We did and we passed on them.

At this point, i'd take McConkey over anyone but AD Mitchell. For who's left, I'd be disappointed if we went WR at 33 and it wasn't Mitchell or McConkey. If it's Franklin or Coleman, I'd prefer another move down and would only be fully on board if Mitchell and McConkey were off the board.

I'm really hoping Beane can find a way to get both Mitchell and McConkey. I think if he trades out of #33, that won't happen. He would have to take one and trade up from #60 to try to get the other. It would probably cost a 2025 second. I've been higher on McConkey than most, I guess. I think he'd be a perfect player to complement Kincaid, and if you add a boundary X, the WR room goes from deficient to promising.

    Keon Coleman

I just don't see how the fella being only 21 means he is going to grow into a boundary receiver. And if he has to play from the slot to be effective, he's taking Kincaid off the field. Mitchell at least is what they need. If you think the consistency issues are fixable, he has to be the play. If you trade out of #33, I think you're not getting him. Coleman and Franklin might fall. I still think McConkey is going to be an excellent player. I guess we'll see, but Beane has to get 2 WRs tonight, imo.

Not sure why people are wanting ANOTHER slot receiver in Ladd McConkey?

The best receiver on our team is Khalil Shakir, who was a slot receiver last year.

We added Curtis Samuel, who has mostly played slot receiver over the last few years.

Our next best receiving options are Tight Ends.

It's not always about getting the most talented guy.  You need to have some variety on the team, so you can attack all parts of the field.  The Bills have pretty much nobody on the team who can challenge defenses on the outside or down the field.

Very tired of this take. McConkey is not a slot receiver. He took 80% of his snaps on the outside. He's a flanker, movement Z whatever term you like.

They need to get 2 WRs. One of them should be an X, but there absolutely is room for McConkey, who is an out of the box volume receiver year one.
