  1. Man, that radio station really does have you brainwashed doesn't it? Liberals don't hate those words - they hate when they are used exclusively to describe people who agree with you.
  2. Isn't pot outlawed in the UK? You realize that you're quoting a media source owned by the British government in an attempt to discredit something that is illegal in the UK, right? BTW, some links refuting yours: Cancer: http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_health2.shtml Brain Damage: http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_myth8.shtml Gateway Drug: http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_myth13.shtml There are multiple studies relating to Cannabis and Schizophrenia, as far as I know, there is no direct evidence that Cannabis use causes schizophrenia. There is a possibility that it helps facilitate it in people that are predisposed, and that since younger people try cannabis, its a correlation that doesn't exactly mean causation. This leads the British government to say that "omg it causes schizophrenia" while the Dutch government and scientists maintain that it does not. Gee, I wonder why theres a difference.
  3. Chevy is trying to pass off the "We're the American spirit, buy us and our great American workers will keep this country great for generations" feeling. They're using negative images of people like Rosa Parks and others to try to show that they truly are the American patriot's choice. Yeah, GM, because if I buy your car that means that I'm a Patriot, much the same way listening to that radio station does.
  4. That really isn't any more blatant then those latest Chevy commercials and John Cougar Mellancamp playing the song to them to open the World Series. That was fkin ridiculous too.
  5. Part of what Kerry's huge problem in the last election was that he just doesn't articulate very well what he means. Show me the part where he said that all of our soldiers are dropouts and lazy kids. He was telling the students at that school that there are options available to them if they graduate, whereas the best option available to them if they don't work hard is the military (so they would probably end up there, and right now, that option isn't looking very desirable). Yeah, American troops never tortured anyone, ever, in any war. In fact, the American government never sends people to other countries to be tortured. At least when the true PATRIOTS! are in power like they are right now, right? Its all just a big damned web of lies!
  6. Yeah. I think a lot of the problem is that these teams just really haven't had the benefit of the really tough weeks coming up to prove themselves either yet. I suspect my top 10 will look much different after Saturday.
  7. Damn those pot smokers, horrible people and all.
  8. And its not a stretch to say that they would most likely not be unbeaten then.
  9. He's saying that an undefeated team from the BE is more deserving then a 1-loss team from the SEC. Of course, his argument is so full of holes its laughable. He even admits that WVU and Louisville most likely wouldn't be unbeaten in the SEC. He throws away the team's inner-conference schedules after that and looks at their weak out of conference scheduling (uh, yeah, if you were in the SEC would you want to schedule touch OOC teams as well?). His other argument is that the bottom SEC teams aren't as good as the bottom BE teams? Gee, Schlabach, they're all still pretty bad teams - what does this have to do with anything again?
  10. Would the bad outweigh the good though? If there are problems such as inefficiency with the Canadian system, private clinics could (and potentially would) help alleviate some of that. Just because there are two-tiers doesn't necessarily mean the lower one would be bad, it just means that it would be "not as good" (education is the analogy I'm thinking of here)
  11. A lot of the problem of human based polling is that you can only take into account what you've seen. I try to watch as many games as I can, but unfortunately I haven't gotten too many Cal games on TV (and when I have, I've been at UT games). Before last week I would most likely have ranked them a lot higher. I had seen parts of Cal games, but had never watched them fully until the Washington game. I was amazed by their inability to put away a Washington team which had 5 turnovers. That puts them at around 11th or 12th to me. As far as liking Arkansas better, I think they have been a pretty damn good team that woke up after the first week of the season and is playing much better. Cal also hasn't beaten anyone in Auburn's league, which to me more then makes up for a week 1 blowout by USC. If Cal pounds USC, and/or Arkansas loses another SEC game I'd leapfrog Cal over Arkansas, but at this point in the games I've personally watched Cal just hasn't looked quite as good to me, and I don't have confidence that Cal would beat Arkansas at this point in time.
  12. Same here, but I generally find that I critics are so focused on the work rather then the entertainment value of horror films that its not a good rating to go off of. They overwhelmingly hated the Saw series. Saw I was 45%, Saw II was 36%, and now Saw III is 39%. I loved the whole series. Wolf Creek, one of the most boring films I've ever seen, got a 53% by comparison. Gothika wasn't the best movie around, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it received a friggin 15% on rotten tomatoes.
  13. If I was going solely based how I feel about the teams after this past week: 1. Ohio State 2. Michigan 3a. Florida 3b. Texas 5. Notre Dame 6. Tennessee 7a. West Virginia 7b. Louisville 9. Auburn 10. Arkansas I think West Virginia is not nearly ranked as high with any other schedule. Yes, they've had a great rushing attack all season, but they've been just manhandling people with their offensive line. Louisville has whats probably the best rush defense/d-line WVU has faced all season, so if WVU continues to run over Louisville like they have the other weeks, I'd be willing to rank them higher. I just don't trust WVU to run the ball like they are vs a Florida, Texas, or a host of other schools. Florida is very good and evenly matched for Texas. That'd be a helluva game, wouldn't it? Notre Dame has beaten some damn good football teams, and I think they are underrated. With their only loss to Michigan, I can't see them ranked 9th or 10th. I also think Tennessee would beat both Louisville and West Virginia, so I put them ahead. West Virginia gets the nod over Louisville because of being unbeaten, but I just can't say that they'll beat the big boys just yet. Auburn has the potential to win against some very good football teams and so does Tennessee, but I'm not as confident in their ability to pull out a close game as I am the other teams in my top 10.
  14. Critics hate the horror genre, which is why I don't put much stock into what they say.
  15. Yeah, the computers are the disrespecting machines right now for us, lol. The good news for us is that we are only behind WVU by .03 in the BCS, and up on USC by a lot (.4 I think). Right now, with our average in the computers, if we managed to make up 2 spots (from 12th to 10th) in the computer polls, we would overtake WVU. Wash St, WVU, Boise St., Arkansas, Louisville, USC, Auburn are all ahead of us in various computer polls. Teams like Florida and Auburn have already pretty much maxed out their computer rankings, while Texas has a lot of room to move up. Hopefully Mizzou beats Nebraska for us, as beating NU from what I've read would help us less in the Big 12 championship then beating Mizzou. Go Louisville on thursday!
  16. Donald F'in Driver, though I do have a shot to win thankfully. It rests on Carolina pounding Dallas tonight.
  17. Man, Steel Reserve usually makes me pass out, but we've had nights where we are up until like 8 or 9am drinking natty ice.
  18. Then again, the constitution doesn't have any money tied directly to it. Obviously moving from one secure platform to another is a security risk.
  19. Just got back and loved the movie. Perfect ending for a trilogy and 3 movies that were all very good. Its just too bad they are making a Saw 4 with a different team.
  20. Why the hell do you refuse to admit that ATL is probably the 2nd or 3rd best team in the Eastern Conference (with Carolina)?
  21. Good try.
  22. TCP/IP Settings
  23. Not to mention companies like People Cube wanting you to spend thousands on upgrading software in order to get a patch.
  24. And bingo was his name-o.
  25. lolz Though I do prefer the old... Why do women have smaller feet then men? Cause its a short walk from the bedroom to the kitchen.
