  6. Well, you're a Bills fan. Olivier: I think that as long as someone isn't bat-sh-- insane crazy, they won't have much of an effect on the overall electorate. Jindal's positions wouldn't be considered "bat-sh-- insane crazy", I don't think.
  7. VP choices historically don't convince many people to vote for a Presidential candidate.
  8. How is Bobby Jindal "clearly the best choice"? Louisiana is at McCain +13.4.
  9. I highly doubt anyone "jumping ship" will last very long.

  11. Veep choices are, quite frankly, not that important. The media tends to overstate the VP choice in order to give them something to talk about during the summer months. I think the only really important thing that McCain does with his VP pick is that he doesn't choose someone who is a Bushie. McCain has, so far, sufficiently convinced independents that he is not simply an extension of Bush. He needs to make sure he doesn't undue his progress. That being said, for the exercise in mental masturbation, I'll chime in on Bloomberg: First off, let me preface this by saying that I find it unlikely Bloomberg would accept the VP slot on McCain's ticket, given his past statements, though it is probable he's not being entirely honest. Bloomberg would be a bad choice for McCain for a number of reasons: 1.) There is no way he could deliver his home state for McCain. 2.) I don't believe that, even with the Jewish vote, McCain would win CT or NJ either. 3.) Bloomberg would reignite and possibly cause the base's suspicion of McCain's conservative credentials to explode. I'm sure McCain is trying to make them forget about it, and make the other side appear so bad they'll have to turn up their nose and vote for him. Bloomberg would only hurt that cause. 4.) Way too many of Bloomberg's policies aren't in line with McCain's. 5.) McCain's spending is capped at $84 mil, extra money won't make a difference.

  14. Very interesting question. I am intrigued by your ideas. May I subscribe to your newsletter?
  15. Yes, because its a lack of incientive that's been stopping such engineering. Also:
  16. Uh, yes, he'll be saying in essence, remember on November 4th to vote for the black guy. Its called mobilizing voters.
  17. I'm sure he'll be reminding people in areas with a large AA population that he's back.
  18. Obama's right, of course they will use race to drive out votes. Probably won't be McCain himself, but some surrogates for him. Obama will use his race to drive out the African American vote as well, again via surrogates, all while maintaining that he wants to be post-race.
  19. Your own article says it doesn't apply to those types of advertising.
  20. Looks like only one Republican voted no, some guy from Minnesota. I'm disappointed in Ron Paul not voting.
