  1. Welp, looks like I'll be resorted to yelling "I'M GOING TO WRITE YOU ANGRY LETTERS" to opposing teams.
  2. Because a letter Byrd wrote in 1944 totally reverses the realignment of the 1932 election.
  3. My political ideology is funny. I'd still consider myself more of a "liberal" than anything, but without a doubt in the "classical liberal" sense. Still, I identify more with the Libertarians than anything else at the present moment. If you try to peg me on a north-south, east-west grid, I'm right on the border of liberal and libertarian. It's rather amusing to me, because I get pegged as everything: Republican, Democrat, liberal (stuckincincy thinks I'm a die-hard liberal), conservative. I argue on here with all the people supporting Obama, and then turn around and argue with the hard-core supporters of McCain in my family.
  4. And the Republicans of that day weren't conservative, either. Ever hear of realignments in American parties? Do you know the stages of coalitions that have been built in American history?
  5. Yep, and that made it less believable for me, more believable for more roommate.
  6. Heh, I've been to games at Pro Player which were almost silent - Bills fans were louder than the Fins !@#$s. Jacksonville was pretty quiet as well, but I suspect that's to be expected.
  7. Name everything you'd cut in our government.
  8. Caught this on the Report, man Nas came across as a douche.
  9. Yes, we can use posters who can't admit when their candidate is wrong.
  10. Ah, alright. The stadium has really expanded and changed since then.
  11. Obama says "its like these guys take pride in being ignorant" and tells them to "do their homework", right after repeating the incorrect statement that we would save more oil than offshore drilling. Sounds like Obama needs to practice what he preaches, just like in every other aspect of this campaign.
  12. Technically he said a tune-up, which if I understand it correctly, doesn't include changing the oil.
  13. Spoiler: He contradicts himself at another point in the movie and says he gave himself the scars because of his relationship with his wife, so we have no idea which one is correct, if either. I wouldn't exactly call that backstory.
  14. He's asked to be traded to an NFC North team, they won't do it, so he wants his release to sign with one.
  15. National poll is much, much cheaper and news outlets will buy it and pick up on it.
  16. Like I said, it really, really depends on the game. Last year it wasn't all that loud, but the year before against Ohio State, Oklahoma State, the noise was incredible. They've expanded the stadium this past offseason, moved the stands closer to the field, and added a 2nd deck to the horseshoe part, so I assume it'll likely be louder, though I doubt it will be all that loud except for some games.
  17. And inflating your tires is being misrepresented by Obama as getting anywhere close to offshore drilling capabilities.
  18. Damn people who play fantasy football, we're ruining the sport. I remember last year at the Tavern, watching the Bills games with my fellow people, no one cared about the Bills because of their fantasy teams. I sure as heck didn't, I was totally rooting for Miami to beat Buffalo so Ronnie Brown could get some more TDs. I can't wait to do it again this year too.
  19. Me too. The U.S. Department of Energy says that American’s waste 3.56 million gallons of gas a day due to tire pressure.
  20. Uh, yes, he's wrong. 3.56 million gallons a day wasted in gas (the DOE's number) = 181,633 barrels a day wasted, or 66,296,045 a year. At that rate, it would take 271.51 years to reach the same amount as what is held in off-shore drilling.
  21. Alton Brown is my heRO
  22. Over the Hills and Far Away By Nightwish They came for him one winter's night. Arrested, he was bound. They said there'd been a robbery, his pistol had been found. They marched to the station house, he waited for the dawn. And as they led him to the dock, he knew that he'd been wrong. "You stand accused of robbery," he heard the bailiff say. He knew without an alibi, tomorrow's light would mourn his freedom. Over the hills and far away, for ten long years he'll count the days. Over the mountains and the seas, a prisoner's life for him there'll be. He knew that it would cost him dear, but yet he dare not say. Where he had been that fateful night, a secret it must stay. He had to fight back tears of rage. His heart beats like a drum. For with the wife of his best friend, he spent his final night of freedom. Over the hills and far away, he swears he will return one day. Far from the mountains and the seas, back in her arms he swears he'll be. Over the hills and far away. Over the hills and, over the hills and, over the hills and far away. Each night within his prison cell, he looks out through the bars. He reads the letters that she wrote. One day he'll know the taste of freedom. Over the hills and far away, she prays he will return one day. As sure as the rivers reach the seas, back in his arms she swears she'll be. Over the hills and far away, he swears he will return one day. Far from the mountains and the seas, back in her arms he swears he'll be. Over the hills and far away, she prays he will return one day. As sure as the rivers reach the seas, back in his arms is where she'll be. Over the hills, over the hills and far away. Over the hills, over the hills and far away.
  23. np, to give you an idea, over the last 2 seasons, Westbrook has averaged 83.5 receptions.
  24. What game(s) have you gone there? Our stadium is very Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hyde. Some games its way too quiet, and others its really, really loud.
