PFW's "The Way We Hear It"
In space no one can hear replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they rate CB higher than most do on this board. (including me, as I tend to prefer building both lines) If last years reports are true, the Bills first round choice came down to taking either Lynch or Revis. Nothing dramatically has changed in our CB situation since that draft, so I'm thinking the faction that wanted Revis last year might get their athletic, dynamic CB this year. -

I'd be surprised if the Bills were interested in obtaining Shepard after their experience with Darwin Walker last year. Just like Walker, Shepard wants to "get paid" and the numbers he wants will dwarf anything Walker ever asked for. Unless somehow, negotiations could take place on a contract with Shepard before the draft as a condition of the deal, I just don't see it happening. -

Did any one else notice the comment about Devin Thomas in the link? Random comments from scout: "(Michigan State WR) Devin Thomas does not like to get hit. He drops a lot of balls inside. You can see his obvious potential, but he does not get off press (coverage) easily and you can see too many obvious shy-aways. This year’s draft of receivers sucks." Of course take it for what its worth this time of year. Everyone's spinning. -
According to PFT, a new draft trade chart is circulating among teams, supposedly it better reflects the "value" in this draft. New Draft Trade Chart A good thing to download for mocks or for draft day.

Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State
In space no one can hear replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry. I don't know if your the guy to go to for WR advice. In one of the most bizarre mock drafts in the history of this forum, yesterday you had the Bills selecting Deshawn Jackson, WR, California in the first round. (all 5-9, 169 lbs. of him) We all have differences of opinion, and that makes the draft so much fun. But for me, you could really split people into to groups, those that would consider drafting Deshawn Jackson with our first pick and those that would rather drive their car into a brick wall. We might just have a different viewpoint of what it takes to build a championship team. -
Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State

We definitely disagree on this one. Nelson WILL be taken in the second round. Athletically and competitievely he more than held his own at the Senior Bowl and at the combine. He ran a 4.51 at the combine, that is pretty darn close to your sub 4.5 benchmark. IMHO his competitive speed, cut-back ability and short area burst are A+, and this more than makes up for any perceived 40 time deficiency. If we dont take a WR in the first ,my guess is, Nelson is a very strong possibility in the second round. -

Lions want Harvey
In space no one can hear replied to Flbillsfan#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish taking a DE was a luxury pick, it should be after all the money we invested in the position. But when you get a total of 9 sacks from your top 3 defensive ends, help is needed. I think we were also second last in the NFL, at stopping teams on third down. A pass rush could really help there also. -
Article He has the depth, the reflectiveness, and the resilience to be our next president," the letter said. "He speaks to the America I've envisioned in my music for the past 35 years, a generous nation with a citizenry willing to tackle nuanced and complex problems, a country that's interested in its collective destiny and in the potential of its gathered spirit. Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State

We also need a "go to guy " on third down. Someone Trent can trust to run the right route, and a WR who doesn't have alligator arms in the middle of the field. Jordy Nelson is flying up the draft charts and IMHO will be a second round pick. He'd be a great addition to our team. -
Winderlic FYI: While an average football player usually scores around 20 points, Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate. Furthermore, when the test was given to miscellaneous people of various professions, it was observed that the average participant scored a 24. This assessment roughly corresponds to examples from Paul Zimmerman's The New Thinking Man's Guide to Pro Football. According to Zimmerman, examples of average scores for each position are: Offensive tackle - 26 Center - 25 Quarterback - 24 Guard - 23 Tight end - 22 Safety - 19 Linebacker - 19 Cornerback - 18 Wide receiver - 17 Fullback - 17 Halfback - 16 Pat McInally, a graduate of Harvard University, is the only football player to record a confirmed perfect score of 50.

This Year's Double TradeDown:
In space no one can hear replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for posting this, it's exactly how I feel. Taking DeSean Jackson would be completely asnine!!! Is getting Jackson in the first round a building block to having a championship team??? NO!!! These "fantasy" mock drafts are getting more bizarre as we getting closer to to the draft. -
IMHO. There is absolutely no way you take a player like Schmitt in the third round. Thay would be a huge reach. Every year certain players become "favorites" here on TBD,and this year Schmitt is one of them. Many people here have him going in the 4rth round to the Bills. That's too early also. 5th round at the earliest. At the earliest!!
