  1. Maybe not but he sure is correct. Whaley, Rex, Levy/Jauron, Brandon......how many horror shows should we fans be forced to endure? If this administration chooses not to toss around picks like amateurish, inept drunken sailors (ala Whaley), then more power to them. If they saw no bargains and stayed home, good for them!!!!!. I just gained a substantial amount respect for McDermott. We don't need more clowns in our organization.
  2. I am not crazy about their coach or their freshman QB but I think that Auburn is in a position to do some damage. They can't get into the playoffs, but they are good enough to bump some teams out of the playoffs. I also think that Georgia is WAY better than many think. I'm not sure what their problem is but they have real talent. I like Kirby Smart but at times I wonder....... Obviously, the above is jmo.
  3. Great job Pete!!!
  4. He doesn't play anybody. That entire conference is a joke.
  5. Well my mama told me, my papa told me too. Well my mama told me, papa told me too, Well I wouldn't be here tryin' to sing these railroad blues. Wish I had listened to what my mama said, Wish I had listened to what my mama said, Well I wouldn't be here tryin' to sleep in this cold iron bed.
  6. Sadly, you are probably correct. In a perfect world, I would love to see the Bills sign him for 2 or 3 years at 10 million or so per season but I do understand that this is highly unlikely.
  7. Oh absolutely!!!!!! Are we going to have 90 million in cap space in 2020 or did I dream these numbers up? If so, I would like to see him sign with us, but for less than the 17.7 mil. he is due to receive from Cincy.
  8. I wanna say to my sisters and brothers, keep the faith. When the storm flies and the wind blows, Go on a steady pace. When the battle is fought and the victory's won, We can all shout together "we have overcome!" We'll talk to the father and the son, When we make it to the Promised Land.
  9. I don't know, is he? Since 2014 he reached the 1,000 yard plateau all of once (with 1,003). His other totals were 696, 517, 299, and 715. These totals don't meet my definition of an "absolute stud." I like him, don't get me wrong but I don't think of him as a true #1. After what seems like a million years, the Bills used their best resources on a quarterback. We need to give him better tools to work with. If you think Brown is great, imagine him as a #2.
  10. Yeah....I'll take it a step further and say that we also need to draft a running back.
  11. We have a young quarterback who has an absolute cannon. We drafted him at #7. He has a group of receivers that are mediocre at best. I'm sorry, I can't wrap myself around how improving the receiving corps is not our top need. For years and years I have been on this board screaming and begging for blockers. Not any longer whereas talented receivers is a dire, make or break need for this team. Jmo.
  12. The Harris Teeter in NC did remind me a bit of Wegmans in that both are clearly superior to downstate supermarkets. This summer I was in the Wegmans in Williamsville and actually found a 4 pack of 16 ounce Collective Arts Life in the Clouds IPA. I think it cost me 13 or 14 dollars too but who cares? THAT is what I call a super market!!!
  13. If all you got to live for, Is what you left behind, Get yourself a powder charge and seal that silver mine. Lost my boots in transit babe, A pile of smoking leather. Nailed a retread to my feet, and prayed for better weather.
  14. How do you like Harris Teeter? There is one near my daughter in VA that I would consider good, and one in a NC suburb of Charlotte that I have been to many times and am more impressed with.
  15. Oh, I hear ya. We all do have a right to be impatient too after all of these years. I think that with a few smart moves, 2020 can be a HUGE year for us. I am NOT giving up on this season but I do wonder if Josh has the right tools.
  16. Sorry BB but imo there is no DT who is worth a 1st and a 4th, and if there was one he would not be 31 years old. We desperately need quality receivers, and I am not sold on Green at too high a price either. In the 2020 draft, high quality WRs will be falling from the sky. We need a running back too. We should absolutely stock our QB with quality weapons and see how good he is, and we can do this. It is fun blaming Daboll for all of our ills but the truth is that we have a young, inexperienced QB who lacks the proper supporting cast. Jmo.
  17. Your point is taken but do you put Josh in a class with Manuel? I'm not sure that EJ would have played well if he had Randy Moss and Jerry Rice on his team.
  18. Where are you getting this? They are 2-2 in their last 4 meetings.
  19. I can't say it enough.....the 2020 class at WR will be the best in many years, if not the best I have ever seen. I don't even think that it will be possible to ignore the WR position. This group is SO good that if Levy/Jauron were running the team, they might even draft one instead of an undersized defensive back.
  20. Tua, hands down and he has a title to prove it.
  21. 1) Oklahoma: Exposed. 48 points given up to a so-so team? This conference is a joke. Oklahoma doesn't play anybody good and this includes Texas, an inferior team to Texas A&M. If Ohio State didn't make the playoffs after giving up huge points to a nobody, why should Oklahoma get in? Hurts is a good kid and he went through hell getting benched but Saban chose the right quarterback. Jalen looks great on the Sooners but the team is an imposter. Again, they don't play any top teams. 2) Penn State: They look strong and balanced. They have more to prove but I am not seeing anything that I don't like. I am going to pay more attention to them. 3) Notre Dame: Not enough info. I don't think that they belong in the playoffs under any conditions, but they lost to a good Georgia team and an ugly road game in horrible conditions. They don't seem to be elite just yet. 4) Alabama: Good looking team with many questions. Best receivers I have ever in my life seen on a college team. Their biggest challenges were South Carolina and Texas A&M on the road and they played well. Too many freshmen on defense. Schedule from here on is brutal. The score last night didn't totally reflect the game. Arkansas made many mental errors and Bama capitalized on them. That is what Saban does but will the good teams coming up make mistakes? The Tide can win but it will be a long, grueling road and is FAR from certain. 5) Ohio State At this point, I think that Ohio State deserves to be#1. I don't watch them all that much but I don't see and weak spots. I would like to see more of their quarterback but again, this appears to be a extremely talented and well balanced team. 6) Wisconsin: Exposed. They had a nice run but failed to show up for 2 straight weeks. The team is good, but not elite. I love their style of football too but they were just overmatched vs. Ohio State. 7) LSU: They look tough. The QB is better than I thought. He took some very hard hits last night and got right up. Delpit looks like a great player at safety, probably the best db in the country and their DL line is big and strong. If they can beat Alabama on the road they deserve the #1 spot imo. 8 Clemson: They look like solved some problems but they just don't play anybody. That is great in terms of decreasing the chance of injuries. Dabo admits to playing almost his entire team every week. The thing is, he can because of his weak opponents. It isn't fair but that's the way it is. They are very well situated to go far in the weeks ahead imo. Note: As always, the above are just my thoughts, opinions, and comments. They are not intended to be taken as all knowing proclamations.
  22. Some come to laugh their past away Some come to make it just one more day Whichever way your pleasure tends If you plant ice you're gonna harvest wind Roll away, the dew Roll away, roll away the dew Roll away, roll away the dew Roll away, roll away the dew
  23. OK, what would your top offer be in a year with a draft that is chock full of wide receivers?
  24. Very good point. There could also be some middle ground with him playing his best for just a few games. I think that man is great. My issue is how much to give up.
  25. I've been gambling hereabouts, For ten good solid years. If I told you all that went down, It would burn off both your ears. Goes to show, you don't ever know. Watch each card you play, and play it slow. Wait until your deal come round, And don't you let that deal go down, no.
