Since people are looking for positive...
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The post is Fecious- in regards to all the complaints about the negative feedback of the team, The idea was to see how many more positives we could put on the KC game. We are drowning in negatives about this team what we can build on that was positive? -
WHo is on the market the upcoming season, We need DE's, C, TE, WR's, FB , LB's and Alot of secondary help. I dont want them all addressed in the draft. So whos available and we should work it that way.

Ok a negative response to the type-O it was POS-O-Tive the defense got 5 turnovers the O is for the 476 yds they gave up . -

I disagree- Lets say the JETS have the division we would need the JETS to beat MIAMI along with us so if we are tied with miami the advantage goes to us for a better divison record if we won the three remaing beacause we would be 3-3 and Miami would be 2-4 so the only team we would worry about being tied with is NE. -

Besides BUF I see Bal falling from grace in the final weeks of the season. Those last 4 for them is just as Hard as the last four for Buffalo. Indy will maintains their wild card spot and the Jets take the east which leaves one spot With Miami having the easiest of NE/MIA/BUF/BAl schedules Which means for Buffalo to have a chance Jauron has to do something he has not done win against 4 winning teams IN A ROW 2 that are playoff teams and 1 thats the AFC Defending Champions and One that is a playoff hopeful like us. -

An if they are all tied in the division they go to common oponents which currently Miami/NE/and Buffalo have the same record then tehy go to strength of records and thats where we lose it! -
Duke Preston is starting to grow on me

Couldnt anyone play better than FOWLER I have said for years the main problem with the line is the Center!!!!!!!!!!! -
Sorry one variable we do not know the anser to yet- CAN TRENT PLAY IN DECEMBER NORTHEAST WEATHER-personally I dont think so (please Trent prove me wrong) Which means He wont be able to substain drives in Denver, Jets and Home against NE- I see those as three losses based on inept QB play (please trent prove me wrong) Then we will se at the end of the season when it matters TRENT is not the guy in Buffalo trade him to a Warmer/Dome climate for a # 1 pick, Fire the coach who cannot win against a winning team even if his job depended on it.

Here's my opinion on these last five games...
Poeticlaw replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills should beat 49ers-Win The dome makes it an easy game for trent but no reall advantage over the dolphins- Dolphins have looked good even against the Pats and we dont have a moss for them to stop- I see it as a loss Can trent play in /Den/NY/NE/Buffalo in december personally I dont thinks so-Jets win, Den wins I agree with your statement now way they lose to us especially with cassell getting better each week.-loss I see 1 win in 5 games sorry that would make us Jaurons favorite number with the bills 7-9 -
It was a positive sign that our QB finally threw more than 1 TD this season It was positive that out QB knew when to take it into the endzone himself TWICE. It was positive that our QB looked confident again. It was positive The Leodis had a Breakout game to silence the critics for at leat one week. It was posotive that the Defense finally had a ton of turnovers 5! It was positive that our Offense put up over 400 yds and 5 TDS It was postive that our OC finally went up to the sky so he can see what the heck is going on and how to call against it. It was positive we put up the most points ever at Arrow head. It was positive we didnt let a 1-9 team beat us. Overall we we came away with some positives from that game to take into the SF game.

YES WE WON - but why is everyone talking playoffs still
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First off the post is a QUESTION, Im not telling anyone anything I am gathering info as to WHY> Second off we are technically 2 games out becuase a tie is still out of reach in tie breakers at the present moment. -
What did we take form this game that made us think there is a glimpse of hope for the playoffs? Were they a good team we pounced all over? No a team with only one win this season Was it a great offense we went up against? NO but yet they put up 462 yards- what is up with that? Was it a great QB or a good QB at that we went up against? No a second year QB who had 3 turnovers Were we effecient against their stout defense on third downs? 29% I wouldnt call that effeicent on 14 attempts and we were 2-4 on 4th downs. yes we scored the most points than we have in a very long time, but please it was the KC Chiefs one of the worse teams in the NFL, sorry for being cynical or pesstimistic I like to call it being a realist the remaing schedule does not look that bright and a better team with a better QB would not have given this game away to us. IT reminds me a liitle bit of when we played against TB when RJ was starting and we had over 400 yds of offense and TB had under 300 and we lost that game. We still were not good enough to win and I still dont think we are. SHow me a win against Denver, Mia, JETS and NE then I will get excited because then we should be in the playoffs until that point no reason to get excited yet. One more loss seals the playoff coffin. My apologies to all you BILLIEVERS I will eat crow if they do but I just dont see it happening.

11-5... when has that ever not been enough?
Poeticlaw replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
10-6 is not going to be good enough for the Bills to get in based on tie breakers 11-5 is their only chance. But given the history of their coach and their play this season 7-9 is the best we will do anyway. -
Official 2008 AFC Playoff Race Thread
Poeticlaw replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My Analysis: Going by record and remaining schedule, the South and West Divisions seem relatively settled with the Titans and Broncos winning their respective divisions and the Colts earning one of the Wild Cards (although I wouldn't be too surprised to see the Chargers beat out the Broncos). The Ravens and Steelers both have pretty difficult remaining schedules, so my best guess is that no Wild Card team comes from the AFC North this year. As for the AFC East and the status of our Bills, all I'll say is that we are in very big danger of losing not only the division title but also the other wild card if we lose even just 1 additional division game. The AFC conference record tiebreaker could be in play, as well, since there's the possibility that all 4 AFC East teams finish with a 3-3 division record. Therefore, I'd say that our final 4 games - including the Denver away game - are all "must win" scenarios. The 49ers game should also be considered "must win" (sorry Crayonz...) because I could see the Pats, Jets, and Colts all finishing 11-5 or better even if we were to win our last 4 after a 49ers loss to end up 10-6. Here's the silver lining: if the Jets lose to Miami in Week 17 or in 2 of their other 3 non-AFC East games, the Bills control their own destiny for that precious AFC East Division crown/playoff home game that has escaped us for the past 12 seasons. Im sorry i dont mean to be a nit pick BUT i highlighted in bold what is incorrect- The Bills are in jeapordy of losing the last playoff spot with A LOSS PERIOD!!!!! Lets look at it- Baltimore is the only one capable of really falling If it conmes down to our division the tie breaker goes to who? Jets 8-3 Den-SF-BUF-SEA-MIA left its unlikey but 3-2 worst i see- In order for a scenario to work out we need them to lose to US & MIA for 3-3 division NE 7-4 PIT-SEA-OAK-ARI-BUF left We need PIT to win Ari to WIN and US to WIN For 3-3 in division and better record in common oponnents its unlikely 3-2 is worse i see MIA-6-5 STL-BUF-SF-KC-JETS- its unlikely 3-2 best i see Miami has the softest schedule left BUT we NEED to beat them and they NEED to beat the jets BUFF-SF-MIA-JETS-DEN-NE we need to win out SF/DEN are common opponent tie breakers only if we are 3-3 in division I will saty with optimism 5-0 but the BEST i see is 2-3 (unlikely but Possible) based on above JETS 11-5 if the beat mia they get division we go to tie breaker for wildcard NE-10-6 MIa-9-7 Buffalo 11-5 based on above scenario happening we get the tie breaker win division jets go to play off tie breaker -
Do we like Trent, Jauron and Turk this week?
Poeticlaw replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
False confidence does not good either look at the losing streak after a confident 5-1 team. -

Poeticlaw replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will lay off of them of they can do it aginst back to back weeks and teams with winning records. Today they did wat they were suppose to do destroy a bottom feeding team. -
With all the secondary issues we had and have why didnt we pursue Deangelo Hall he was a free agent at least for the remainder of this year with the option of re-sugning next year if we liked what he did. Come on Washington is only paying him 1 mil for 7 games we couldnt do that?

"Take your pick: Edwards or Losman in KC?"
Poeticlaw replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Havent we done enough see-sawing with our QBS put in flutie put in johnson,Put in Van Pelt, Put in Holcomb, put in JP put in Trent? First in my personal opinion I think that JP would do good in this OFffense he did complete 70% of his passes when he came in in arizona but JP did not play defense that game and thats what completley destroyed us. In addition Evans is a better reciever because of JP. Now JP is out of here at the end of the season period! Trent is only in his second season let him finish it good or BAD. He shows me flashes of being a good QB but how he plays in the cold and snow will tell me if he can be a great QB. He has to conquer his fears right now, it has to be something with this offense first JP look like he was broken down and Now Trent looks like he has broken down. I say stick with Trent- I have already reserved my emotions for a faint shot at the playoffs. I just want to see him get better so we know we dont hav to look for another guy to play QB and go through this again. -
Trent Edwards is still suffering from lingering effects
Poeticlaw replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually by that point he was too afraid to get hit, to afraid to throw because he was too afraid it would be intercepted and he was too afraid of losing his job because he saw what a string of bad games does to a starter in buffalo the last 4 years. -

Poeticlaw replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heres the thing you move the team out of the city and they are not the BUFFALO bills, I dont even think they could take the LOGO its a BUFFALO representing BUFFALO how could you be a fan of a team that doesnt have your city or your LOGO the Tornonto BILLS pllllllleeeeeaaaassseee I would not route for a canadian team. THATS a whole different country, I am not french I am american. ITs an american sport, an american team, I would be a fan of another team if the left most likely not them! -
Starters who need to be replaced
Poeticlaw replied to bananathumb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1- Keith ellison is only a starter By default do we forget that we lost Crowell to IR. He will have a starter in front of him but he still is good depth 2. I agree with C i have been saying center for 9 years now 3. I agree with royal we need a TE that is a reliable catching option 4. We need a Solid FB 5. Disagree with me all you want WE NEED A #1 receiever Lee evans is nothing more than a number 2 deep threat receiver. (which does us no good on a dink and dunk team) 6. A Shutdown CB everyones relaceable 7. Schoebel and Kelsay Bring in two Pass rushing DE and save us 8 mil a year AND PRODUCES SACKS/ OR AT LEAST PRESSURE FOR MISTAKES 8. JAson Peters need an upgrade a LT To sum up LT, LG, C, RT TE FB CB OLB WR DE,DE 11 upgrades and I think we will be contenders -

Jets at worse will be 9-3 at that point no way they lose to SF but I actually believe they will be the titans first loss but even still 9-3 is their worse. I can see NE at 7-6 at this point I donth think they are beating miami or Pitt. If we can get our act together we have a high percentage chance of winning the next 2 Miami is a crap shoot since its in Toronto but Trent can play in a dome no wind blowing. at best 8-5 most likely 7-6 Miami has three winable games dont forget MIAMI DESTROYED NE, Stl should be a gimme and our game is a toss up so lets say for argument sake 2-1 thats 8-5 Lets recap Jests-9-3 Miami-8-5 Buffalo 8-5 most likely 7-6 Which means we are still 3rd and if NE is 8-5 we are 4 and if NE and Buffalo are 7-6 we are still 4th NE 7-6
