Billieve it or Not Im starting JP in my Fantasy Leaugue
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
like 10 points a game or less -
Ive already got the playoffs wrapped up even though I have no real qb ive beenn playing qbs like Jake delohome(sp) Kyle orton, Matt schaub,Brady Quinn all because I lost carlson palmer this season. I feel confident enough though that JP is going to have a big day in the dome with his favorite target Lee Evans. Laugh if you want but I say not only does he put up a win against MIAMI today but I see 300+ yds and 3 tds 1 int and I fumble lost a nd 30 yards rushing.

Are you happy with the direction of the team since TD left?
Poeticlaw replied to Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
your poll does not indicate whether they progressed only if we are better off since TD left these are two diffrent scenarios . 1 yes we are better off since TD left. He was no good for the organization he did get us out of so called cap jail and now we are safe from cutting star veterans yet we cannot sign star veterans. 2. We have regressed since TD has left we had a suberbowl contendable team we just didnt have the coaching staff to get us their. Now we dont have the players or the coaching staff to get us there so I do see regression. Plus under TD we had a proven QB in BLEDSOE say what you want but we did now we have too many questions reqading wheter or not we have the riht QB yet. -
I will admit the standings gave me hopes of a play off finish all they had to do was play .500 ball which i felt based on Jaurons experience of being mediocre he could do he proved me wrong but in the words of dennis green the bills are who i thought they were then and now nothing more than a 7-9 team but the did have my hopes esculated with the 5-1 start I really didnt think jauron would blow it like he did.
-
If you stuck to reality and the dream scenario of the bills actually being able to pull of 4 in a row the best the bills would be is the 6th seed with the winner of the jets miami game being #3 seed. However in reality this team has shown us nothing in regards to their ability to win 4 in a row but have shown us they can go 1-3 down the stretch!

Riddle ME this...What do these have in common?

Typically when you start playing scared your days are numbered. The real question that has been posted is does Trent have a real injury? I watched the game he didnt seem injured Just scared. -
Just had a thought about the Toronto Game...
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally I wouldnt have given up a divisonal game. Considering that both teams know each other so well we need to the homfield advantage and I dont think Playing an away home game will give us that advantage especially since we dont know who the fans of toronto are really coming to see. The NFL game the opposing team or the bills will the stadium be as loud as a home game will the crowd actually make a difference. Personally I would have played anygame but a divisional game in Toronto at least this seaon the first season to see what type of crowd support we have will it give us a true advantage yes or no. To me I would have preferred the dolphins on monday night football and played the Browns in Toronto. Thena gain that jsut my take on the whole situation. -
It appears that Losman will be starting

I will take the under 5 sacks with 1 fumble lost and the 1 int -
We play 3 divsional games twice= 6 games 4 nfc games and 6 interconferance games through out the course of the season. Us as fans know the importance of homefield advantage within our Division yet our Home divison game is AWAY. We could have easilied played an NFC game in Toronto or a Conferance game none of the other teams in the leaugue who are playing outside of the us played a divisonal game why should we unless there might have been some influence in the decision. For years the Dolphins have whined about coming to Buffalo in DEC but this new Deal with Toronto was a Ralph Wilson baby. Thinking about it I dont believe the NFL screwed us on the divisional game in Toronto. I believe it was Ralph himself that did this. To Ralph the biggest rivalry to him in the entire NFL is the MIAMI DOLPHINS and he wanted the the residients of Toronto to see first hand the rivalry of the BIlls and The Dolphins. So he probably talked to the Dolphins (who would jump at a shot to play in a dome instead of the cold) and the leaugue and to see if they could schedule it this way. Ralph has on many occassions manuvered the schedule moving a 4pm game to 1 pm thought its minor I think their might have been a great influence on this game by Ralph who expect us to win against the Dolphins to help build the extended fan base in Toronto It even could have been a contract term that we are not aware of Just food for thought. Thus a post I read earlier would explain why Ralph would be even more infuriated if this team lost in Totoronto.

Riddle ME this...What do these have in common?

Rob Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, JP Losman and Trend Edwards? My answer: They all started with great confidence in Buffalo and all ended playing scared in Buffalo. Riddle me this... Why did that happen? Jim Kelly and Doug FLutie... My answer... Both played with confidence that didnt break they both knew no matter what they would win the game if if they lost it they played the entire game like they were going to win it. Riddle me this... Why were they able to maintain the confidence but no other Buffalo starting QB has been able to? Maybe this is in Jest but these are my two observations regarding the QBs in Buffalo and I would like to see who else mighht share that opinion or be able to shed som light on it. -
Lets see to your Points ELI STILL SUCKS but Tom Coughlin is a good coach and has always been a good coach. However the comparison isnt fair because Tom is abrasive and gets results and DICK is soft and Gets no results. The NYG you referred had a stellar defense. IT was the Defense that won the suberbowl and this team lacks offense and defnesive power we are mediocre at best. Though I share your sentiment on the QB carousel I must STRONGLY DISAGREE with your coaching observation. WE need a results coach not a coach players love. Because when your winning the players will always love you and when your losing they dont. BUt in Jaurons case they love him because hes a BIG SOFTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

List of reasons why we will beat the dolphins
Poeticlaw replied to Latason's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched the NE MIAMI game and I have to differ with you MIAMI looked good against the ats they just couldnt stop moss but when has that not been a problem for opposing defenses. STL had Steve JAckson back this week which they are a better team with him then without him. I aso have to differ on Ginn. Buffalo's defense is good for giving up a big play or 2 to receiver ususally for a TD. I disagree with TRENT he wont be playing but do agree that JP will be showcasing for FA so he should be at his best. -
"And the Bills have yet to announce anything publicly -- or discuss Jauron's status privately -- about the coach's future. In October, Bills owner Ralph Wilson bluntly waved off questions by saying he doesn't talk contracts when asked about Jauron." They did mention it. However, since the Bills have yet to affirm that the extension is accurate they now have tog o on the stipualtion that he is in the final year and coaching for his job until someone with in the organizations states differently.

The problem with this team is HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE!!
Poeticlaw replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So I did the research and here it is 90-97 22-9 = .710 Winning % in NOV/DEC at home 00-07 15-16 = .483 winning % in NOV/DEC at home -
We ahvent done good since we released FLUTIE.
-
I mentioned in a previous post not practicing outside hurts our homefeild advantage over our opponts. Well just to be fair I took 90-97 and 00-07 and compared the stats at home here is what I have: 90-97 48-16 .750 winning % does not include playoffs 11-1 at home 00-07 32-32 .500 winning % I bet if we looked even further into these you would see a higher percentage of winning in NOV/Dec for the 90-97 group and a higher percentage of losing NOV/DEC for the 00-07 group. In order to get back to the playoffs we first need to win at home and second we need to win in our division and third we need to win on the road. .750 of 8 games= 6-2 .500 on road = 4-4 gives us a 10-6 record minimum every season. I could be mistaken but didnt MARV Stress winning at home? KC/BUFFALO/Denver/PITT were the 4 stadiums that were the toughest to play in. WHAT HAPPENED TO US we are not even i the top 10 anymore-SOFT I TELL YOU SOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are 6 - 6, it's not the end of the season yet.

Not to defend Dick but dont you have to have talent in order to utilize it? -

First a good team can beat a good team and since this team cannot beat a good team nevermind its ineptness of beating a couple of bad teams there is nothing this team can do to make the playoffs this is the same bad team we have had for years nothing has improved on this team, not the QB, Not The recievers, Not the LIne and FINALLY NOT THE HEAD COACH AND HIS ASSISTANTS EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I believe Dick Jauron needs to stay
Poeticlaw replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
REBUILDING we having built anthing yet to say REBUILDING. What do we have???? A team that needs LEADERS!!!! Leaders at the HC/OC/DC leaders on the field players that can play. Please dont use the term rebuilding everyone on this team IS 100% upgradeable. WE need a new HC that has fire and experience and get some good free agents in here next year a solid draft and we will finally HAVE A TEAM. There is no REBUILDING you have to have a team thats old and getting dismantled to call it REBUILDING. -
OF this List the two at the highest of my list would be Brian Billick and Dave Wannsett. I would say Sherman but we have already been there and it didnt happen. But I think those two would be great for this team Look waht Billick has been able to do without a real QB only a stout defense and Dave took the Dolphins to 4 straight winning seasons before getting axed in a 1-8 stint but he had a lot of crap going on around him in that organization that year I thought it was wrong the way the were treating him after taking a JAY FIEDLER QB lead team to 4 straight winning seasons sorry but Id like to see what he would do with our mess.

I could be mistaking but didnt we score something like 50+ points against oakland in the playoffs and the next Game agaisnt denver only scored 7?
