  1. Listen, you can hate the choice all you want, that's your right. You can't tell me Nix is not one of the top talent evaluators in the league. Take a look at what he did with the Chargers, and the past draft was one of the best we've had in a long time. Yep, go ahead and talk about Maybin. Until the man either retires or is traded from this team, you can't call him a bust.
  2. Maybin has been reported to have been the pick of Jauron. According to the story, Modrak wanted Orakpo and was overridden by DJ. Top 5 talent evaluator? I didn't make that up, I've read it on many websites http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=9458801 At the end of the article
  3. I read a quote on these boards that I think is appropriate: "Buddy Nix has forgotten more about football then most GM's know" Like the guy, a lot. One of the top 5 talent evaluators in the league, tell me that can't be helpful. Just look at our last draft. Give the guy a break, and with Gailey also.
  4. Soft? How about McGahee. Towards the end of his time here he made a habit out of going down on the first hit.
  5. I don't believe Modrak is going anywhere, just yet. If the reports are true that DJ picked Maybin when Tommy wanted Orakpo. He may be on a short leash to prove himself.
  6. Retain AVP? Nope. Tell me what he did for Edwards as QB coach? What did he do that stood out for the good as OC? Nope. Like the guy, but don't want him back.
  7. Same exact scenario with WGR. Ratings are not made by making nice with the Bills organization, ratings are made by causing "debate". My biggest problem with Sullivan and WGR is they don't do a very good job backing up their claims, ESPECIALLY those tools at WGR. The fact is, not one person outside of Nix, Ralphie and maybe Brandon, have ANY idea what really happened in the coaching search. I don't care who has "sources" or not.
  8. Wow. Don't even know what to say. Ralphie, if this really happend I want you to sell the team ASAP and take your HOF ring and shove it. I really could care less any longer what you did for the AFL, NFL and this team. You've run this franchise into the ground the last 10+ years and this fan base deserves much better than that. I don't know if JK really has an ownership team together or not, but dam it, sell it to him. I want you to take your wrinkled old body and go retire (not what I wanted to say, but did not want to get banned). Enough is enough, this town deserves much more than you have given. You make us feel as if we are lucky to have a team, lucky to have had you as an owner. Nope. Not really. This town can sustain an NFL franchise just fine, screw this garbage the we are a small town. It's not a small town when you add all local towns in the overall population count, as many other large cities do. So stop making us feel that we have no say. Stop making us feel that we are lucky to have you. Stop your cheap ways and sell this team already. You do realize if you do it now, it could possibly guarantee that the team just may stay here, instead of dragging it out and we lose the Bills. We could have had a proven GM and a proven coach with his son primed to take over in a few years, keeping us from having to do this every 4 years. Thanks for nothing Ralphie.
  9. He would have needed the major positions filled to have gotten the HC job. Remember, they could not wait for Fraiser, why would they wait for Chan's staff?
  10. Him and Woody Paige are ABSOLUTELY the worst two at ESPN. Useless and uneducated opinions. Cowherd is useless and will never listen to him either.
  11. I'm willing to give Modrak a break if he really did get overridden by DJ on Orakpo vs. Maybin. Now, Guy...did the same thing happen to him? Did DJ force his will on him also? If so, I'm willing to cut him some slack also. If DJ left him alone, he REALLY needs to go.
  12. Really, the coaching change embarrassment should motivate Ralphie?? HA How about our last playoff QB was Rob Johnson, firing Butler and Wade and not paying, Levy as GM, Russ as GM, John Guy, Pat Williams, Milloy, Peters, the list goes on and on and on. Sorry, but if he wasn't motivated to get his act together before this, it'll never happen.
  13. As for confirmation on Harbaugh, from OBD itself: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/01/16/r...t-harbaugh-out/ Would love Cowher here, but just can't see them offering the job to someone if he was a candidate. No way.
  14. Uhm, the fact Harbaugh said no pretty much says Cowher is out of the picture. Why would they offer it to JH if Cowher was still in the picture?? Why risk alienating Cowher?? Nope, we may actually have to beg Levy to come back for at least a season.....
  15. Russ helped focus attention on markets outside of Buffalo, ie: Rochester and Southern Ontario, hence putting fans in the seats.
  16. Ralph has not wanted a strong personality in charge of anything here since Polian. He tried with Donahoe, but got "burnt". And it really does not matter who we get. Ralph, Littman and Brandon will sabotage any chance of success anyway. I'm not going to rehash old stuff, but Littman was accussed of cutting Milloy without the coaching staff knowing. Russ is a master at getting people in the seats, even after multiple losing seasons. And Ralph has been accused as being meddling, with newer accusations coming around. Not a recipe for success from management. I hate to say it because he has had a storied career as pioneer of the AFL and owner in the NFL, but man, Ralphie Boy really needs to step aside and let people who REALLY care for a winning team take over. He's gotten his $$$$$ worth out of this franchise, not it's time for him "TO GET THE HECK OUT OF TOWN!"
  17. The fact Billy Boy has not come out and said no when even Ralph confirmed he had been talked to gives me some hope he may be our coach. Also: Miss Buffalo http://media.buffalonews.com/smedia/2010/0...ffiliate.50.jpg She's the one on the right
  18. Was on the year recently with WGR. Think maybe last season, or season before. Actually, who really cares. That guy is a useless, opinionated j erk.
  19. Well said. I only know what limited action I had seen him in over the years, not game-by-game. My desire for Cowher is twofold, hopefully a good coach, and dare I say it, to make Buffalo relevant again. Didn't happen with Owens, but I believe for the duration of his stay here, national media would believe the Bills are capable of anything. I am just so sick and tired of the national media guys taking extra steps to tell us how bad we are (as if we didn't know it). I know we've done nothing to prove them wrong, but hopefully a Cowher signing would put an end to the national media crapping on our franchise. FWIW, I would like a proven HC, no coordinators or college guys. My choice, after Cowher, would be Shotty Sr.
  20. Jersey Shore? Saw that once...by mistake. Wow what a garbage show and what a bunch of absolute idiots! Show made me laugh at how stupid some people are.
  21. My comment was more of the dude between them and the face he made. Kinda imagined a sick thud with the hit. BTW, not to sound out of the loop, but who is she and what show is she on?
