As I’ve said earlier in this thread, I get not mortgaging the future. It sucks this is the year a few pieces could put us over the top. We have to beat the Chiefs to get to the SB. Unless Epenesa shines this year and we manufacture a pass rush, we will win a lot of games, but concerned about making it further. With the cap going up in a year or two, don’t see us hurting ourselves long term with some cap manipulation this year.

The feeling starting after the cards loss, winning the last 6 regular season games. How the community reacted with bills clothes everywhere, “Go Bills” ending every conversation. The feeling standing on the steps of City Hall the morning of the AFC Championship game with a ton of fans and cars driving past honking...was awesome! Finally being able to enjoy this type of season with my son. He’s been a fan for a bit, but was great watching him see how the town transforms when the team is great.

Yes, we are set at this time to win a lot of games. We clearly are a few players short from beating the defending AFC champs who were dismantled by the Bucs. Will have cap relief in a season or two. Need to be creative and get the guys who will make a difference. Need a better pass rush and running game. Better pass rush takes the pressure off the remaining defenders and allows then to do their jobs. A better running game takes the pressure off Josh and keeps us from being a one-dimensional offense and too predictable.

Did a search, didn’t see this mentioned here. “Glitch” on Netflix. A few years old. 3 seasons, six 1 hour episodes per season so easy to binge. Weird, but good and worth the watch. Just finishing the last two episodes.

Beane won’t overpay. Ertz is most likely going to be traded or released. Asking price comes down, he’s traded. If released who knows where his landing spot will be. Sucks that we have a chance to make strides, but the cap is a problem. At least self imposed not wanting to mortgage the future.

Having him at WR4 doesn’t help this team. Prefer to keep Davis in the mix and build him. Davis has a bright future and don’t want to slow his progress by adding someone who may take his playing time. Is this insurance if Sanders doesn’t work out, or if Sanders isn’t on the team next year? Still not worth it to me. He was a negative presence when he was here, and fans don’t forget that. We need to focus on our current needs, TE for sure. We need to focus on positions that will help us get to the next level. Pretty stacked at WR right now and adding Watkins doesn’t improve this team when you have Diggs, Beas, Sanders and Davis as your top 4 WR. If Davis continues to improve with playing time, he has the chance to be better than Watkins next season. That includes his being a team player, and being in the field.

Not sure if he returned in college, but not in the NFL. Unknown how good he’d be at it. Good WR with speed does not necessarily = good kick returner. A few years ago, could have used him. Have a pretty good WR room now. Honestly, I’d prefer McKenzie - shown he can make some decent catches, seems like a good teammate and can return. Watkins is too much of a wildcard for me with injuries and where his head is at. Honestly, I’d be very surprised if he is in town to see the Bills. Money is a big part of that.

Loved his relationship with Josh. Hope it’s not a negative he’s gone. One of my favorite images is him during Renegade! Priceless! Came in to do a job and did it well. He will always be a big part of Josh Allen’s success!

Hard no. Have other needs than WR. Looked up his stats, never returned a punt or kickoff, so doubt that would be the hook to signing him.

Interesting. Wonder what Bojo’s thinking is? Money he believes he can get in FA or he just doesn’t like playing in Buffalo.

Don’t hate the pickup. Just came out of nowhere. Expected him to sign somewhere as challenger. Maybe Vikings or Niners (don’t see Jimmy G there after this year).

I believe he could be a starting QB somewhere. As long as he knows his role as a backup. Interesting and good grab.

Need someone now with Lee and Kroft gone. Not interested in drafting and waiting either. Who is out there? Rudolph and Ertz? Probably go with Ertz at the right price. Would like to add some pass rush also.

We finally have a roster that we don’t have to depend on 5th rounders to do the job. Problem this year is, we have a handful of guys still out there as UFA and RFA. If we truly are done on FA, gotta hit on a bunch of draft picks to replace. Need a couple CB’s, DE, DT, backup QB to name a few. Wold love to have the first 3 rounds as guys who can develop and not depend on. Cant believe they’d be done signing FA’s.

I hope this isn’t a “keep our own” Schtick. We clearly need a few upgrades to beat the chiefs and stay on top of the AFC East. Pats are a QB away from being a contender again. Have a incredible team already, in need of a few pieces. I get there was a loss of revenue last year without tix sales, but they still got their tv revenue. This better not be a money thing.

Kinda feel of it was, it would have. Don’t believe what ever Cynthia Frelund was talking about was Ertz.

Appreciate the info. This is Adams first go around with this, right? Maybe he didn’t have his backup plan set. Maybe happened quicker than the team initially thought. Doubt it though...

Would make sense it’s about Ertz? Would feel she would say it’s not him if it isn’t. Hope she didn’t blow a deal for us by drawing attention to it. Feel it should be consummated by now, unless Beane needs to get some restructuring done. Remember, he also has some UFA’s and FA’s we have to deal with or sign their replacements.
