  1. To those who say Joe Tiller ran a pro style offense. You must be kidding me. I was a student there. They had a shotgun spread offense. If I am correct he referred to it as "basketball on grass" and I could predict every play. I believe Purdue is credited with introducig the spread offense to the Big Ten. This would explain why it took many years for Breed to settle into the NFL. However, on the flip side for people doubting the development of spread offense shotgun QB's take a look at Brees and Kyle Orton. They seem to be doing just fine.
  2. You're right and explaining the significance of that victory in Lambeau Field in 2003. Up until then, the Packers were undefeated at home in the post season with Brett Favre at the helm. To break that undefeated record in the blistering cold of Lambeau in the thick of the playoffs is a huge thing to do when you are a 2nd or 3rd yr qb in the pros
  3. People make fun of how effed up MJ was, but take a look at his family and you can see why. This scumbag, who calls himself his father is nothing less than a leech and 3 days after his own son has died, he has the audacity to show up to an event and plug a business venture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt2GUNhS1bs My stomach sank when i saw this on the news. tell me what you guys think
  4. I found Takeo Spikes on Twitter... assuming it's the actual TKO, it's pretty cool! He interacts with fans and even answered some of my questions about the Bills. What a class act, it's too bad it ended the way it did but it's good to see him doing well with the 49ers. http://www.twitter.com/takeospikes51
  5. no you were right the first time. it was purdue. I go there. yeah stubblefield was a great receiver here. he's a bit on the small side though. if you think evans is small, this guys pretty small. it used to be electric watching the wisconsin v purdue games cause evans and stubblefield would be all over the field. i think stubblefield eventually could crack the nfl and prove himself. unlike john standeford whos practice squad on the colts.
  6. im saving myself the energy of worrying so much about who's gonna be drafted and who is and who isnt showing up to minicamp. cause honestly it doesnt affect my life in any way. last season has really lowered my expectations. I am surprised how many people are getting worked up over nate not showing up. We can choose to let it affect us or not. now im not criticizing you folks about being emotional about our bills. you have every right to be. so dont attack me for saying this. Unfortunately for me, last season I got too worked up over the season. I'm gonna wait and see what happens during the season. I could care less who is doing great in training camp or how JP does in preseason. I'll watch draft day of course, but not with the same intent as I used to. Who knows?? maybe this will be a good year. But thats only a dream at this point in time for me.
  7. you couldnt have said it better tipster. a 12 year old will use the logic that some of these haters use. I bet 99% of these people were complete supporters of moulds in 2002 and in 1999. I honestly hope that he ends up going to NE simply so these morons can eat their words.
  8. maybe thats why some people are reporting tags considering retirement
  9. I should take your suggestion to go to bloomington sometime. I have heard many great things. But I know why the women there look good. cause they're all liberal arts majors ;-). nevertheless i shall heed your advice. see the problem with w lafayette is that women here are like parking spaces the good ones are taken and the rest are all handicapped.
  10. generally though you are wrong in this case. indiana is the 11th fattest state in the country. NY is no. 41. I go to school in indiana and it aint pretty. I love NY women waaaayyyyy better than indiana women.
  11. i fo rone use sprint in roch and have no problem. verizon is the one that blows. they claim to be the number one service yet have the most dropped calls. Sprint has the free roaming where it shares networks. thats the coolest.
  12. he also kinda looks like steve carrell too from 40 yr old virgin. here
  13. I'd like us to have a real natural turf field. makes no sense to have artificial turf in an open stadium.
  14. Yeah!! way to cheer the death of 15 innocent civilians woot.
  15. I dont think he meant this past season. he means in the past when TD has asked EM to cut his pay for the good of the cap. you are right though. moulds has not made any mention of taking a paycut this offseason. he simply stated that there was a 50/50 chance that he would remain in buffalo.
  16. thanks for the bio data dave. I guess i was wrong there about the size. i dunno. to me, smith kinda looks a bit bigger. maybe evans is a bit more lean?? i dunno guess my perception may be skewed. but i agree with you that its unfair to compare the two. also good point on bailey. however i could have sworn he was on moulds most of the time.
  17. I wasn't trying to compare evans to price if thats what you thought. evans is very young and has a long way ahead of him in his career. I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he is light years beyond price's talent. however, most of the things i have seen him do is because of the coverage moulds draws away from him. That denver game was horrendous. however every good receiver has a bad day. and to say that smith and evans are similar in my opinion isnt completely true. smith has a much bigger build and is a very tough receiver. He has that combination of size, toughness, and speed and quickness. evans is a bit smaller build and has almost similar speed and toughness.. dont get me wrong though i agree with some of your post. the comparisons between price and evans come because they both rely heavily on their initial bursts. Thats how they beat their corners. moulds and smith can break tackles way better.
  18. Another thing we dont have is a huge battering ram of a rb like the bus. instead we have side stepping mcgahee who claims to be the best back. granted, he is a good one, and our line needs improvement. but even with an improved line, in order to have the rushing attack that pitt has, a bettis like back would be very helpful, maybe even a fullback like alstott would help. ahh well, lets hope and wait for this offseason.
  19. That is true. when fox came in, he saw that smith had talent and began starting him at #2. the fact that smith still put up decent numbers in his first 2 yrs and was a PR the first one makes him that much better than evans. don't get me wrong. I love evans and i think he can be real good. cept like someone else said earlier. he still reminds me of Price in that he hasn't really proven he can handle the double coverage. Maybe he will prove me wrong though. I'm a student at Purdue University. Being in the Big Ten, I have had the opportunity to watch him play in college when we played wisconsin. The things i saw him do on the field were jaw dropping. Somehow, in 2004, I knew we would draft him. I just don't like us comparing our players to other great players in the league when they havent yet proven themselves. It's kind of unfair to our players because then we're setting ourselves up to be disappointed. I liked some of the things i saw out of Josh Reed this season. I know he wasn't amazing, but there were flashes of what he could be. A few games he made clutch catches. Losman really seemed to have a connection with reed at times. If reed does get released or cut this offseason, I really hope he can get things together. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to be one of the greatest college receivers ever and then flop it up in the pros.
  20. this is what i said during the whole moulds fiasco and people totally lambasted me for even suggesting that mort's reporting was so biased. him and TD are buddies that go back a long way. He tends to report in favor of TD. Him saying that we will never find someone more qualified than TD is evidence of that. his inside source at buffalo usually is TD.
  21. for once an intelligent observation of the situation
