I wonder the impact of the Harris unrealized gain tax would have been on Target stock, had she prevailed? Or, her tax policy generally? -

Ah, liberal supporter from the Biden/Harris camp complaining about high prices but blaming me for pricing models of one of the largest and most successful companies on the planet. Suddenly, shockingly, incredibly it’s someone else’s fault. If, as you claim, I’m responsible for high prices, it’s you who got us here. You should have demanded more when it was your time. Anyway, you reminded me that I may only have minutes, hours, weeks, years and/or decades until the end, and that meant something. Don’t you dare say I’m irrelevant now, that’s hurtful. -

Lost (to me) in all this post-election hubbub was the fact that it was reported that DOJ seized documents unrelated to the warrant, including privileged communication with his attorney, and resistance on the Special Counsel toward allowing an independent third party to review the matter and determine what should/should not be returned. @ChiGoose was supportive of the process as followed by the Smith team as a matter of law/procedure. From the perspective of a citizen, my concern was that the Smith team had complete control of the premises for a very long time, and numerous agents performing the search. They had as much or as little time as needed, had full police power to quell any resistance including the ability to dispatch any threats, and clear instructions on what they could/should seize. I understand Smith wanting to control the narrative, and recognize the tendency to push the envelop and grab anything that might be useful to the investigation regardless of the technical aspects of the seizure. I understand not wanting a Special Master being appointed, and using the illusion of fairness of an internal second team independently reviewing material. Of course at that point, the horse is already out of the barn. Now, there is an opportunity for a second look and new perspective. I’m wondering what new information might be shared, and whether or not internal documents might provide evidence of heavy-handed or potentially illegal conduct. We’ll see, I guess, but perhaps transparency will ultimately be a good thing. -
@Tiberius was concerned with DJTs decision to forgo an interview with the Leslie Stahl’s 60 Minutes. I surmised, perhaps incorrectly, that Tibsy had a secret crush on her, but he seemed to think it reflected poorly on Trump and might be a factor in the voting booth. Either way, I thought strategically it made sense as the format is tired, old, and the producers have a tendency toward deceptive editing. Full disclosure, I thought Harris would prevail in the election, but I thought Trump handled both 60 Mins and the request for a 3rd debate with the Dems correctly. This clip reinforces my belief.

Obviously! I wanted to say it as the 4thnnnclock says I have precious little time left until the end. Less than a week! Under 24 hours! Minutes probably! Maybe a year or two! 4 years max! 51 months, plus/minus. Soon, or soonish. In the soon family for sure. -

President Elect Donald J. Trump

Some people live successful lives, make plenty of money but are absolutely clueless when it comes to human nature and the ebbs and flows of society. Of course, you have to credit her and the ladies of The View for keeping his story in front of viewers, and gradually moving from observance to criticism to lunacy. I wonder what percentage of their viewers they pushed to vote for DJT? Btw one of my favorite parts of the election was contemplating a Trump return to the WH, Barrack’s infamous mic drop moment and the realization Trump was chosen exactly the same number of times as he was, and the ladies of The View wondering why they didn’t have more of an impact. Condescension comes at a cost. -

Why did you drop in on a thread celebrating the presidential election if it was going to make you lash out like this? It was a significant victory, across the board, top to bottom, side to side….but cycles change. -
No, inflation was not the decisive factor: trust, or the inability to trust the democrat party was what changed the playing field. It seems obvious that people rejected the absurd overreach on prosecution, the ridiculous notion of decades long “slippage”, the sketch comedy that Biden was great, the reality that Biden would be forced to resign as a greeter at Walmart, the devastating impact on communities actually dealing with a small version of the border crisis, and Harris’ complete inability to explain issues she had 5 years to prep for. Remember, while you were hoodwinked by the Dems and the MSM, she knew the real story. It’s pretty ironic, really, how badly your Dem party messed this up.

@The Frankish Reich Just getting back to this point to get your feedback. You’ve worked in government, discussed a vetting process I believe every American would hope would represent the gold standard for all administrations, and are uniquely qualified to offer feedback here. What Schumer implies here is pretty dark. He didn’t refer to the legal process, the ability to prosecute or the integrity of the DOJ or Intelligence community. He chose words that certainly can be viewed as sinister. What say you about what say he? -

I wasn’t aware that Frank was a Cheeseburger Trutherrr. I may have been distracted with Frenkle declaring that to be a completely organic real moment in Chuck’s life while stating the Trump visit to McDonalds may have been staged. -

I have long believed these are amongst the most dark and chilling words uttered by a person operating at the highest level of our government. Of course the dopey bobble-headed talking head let it go, but if this is what passes for how the system is played by those who play it well, I’m perfectly fine with all Tulsi all the time. -

This is a great post Frank, and I would love to believe all the players involved have the integrity to interact/oversee following the spirit and intent of the guidelines. I bet many do, but more than a fair number do not. Sidebar— what you described is what most reasonable people would assume would be the approach to handling classified documents and which clearly does not. Your point on appointees is fair. Maybe some day it gets fixed but none of the critical players who can fix it seem to want to. -
RFK Jr: CONFIRMED Trump 47 HHS Secretary

Tibsy was originally declared he was a proud Dad-Mom before shortening it a bit. He started telling people he was “…just a proud Dom” and suddenly his kids weren’t getting invited to play dates…. -
I think it’s important to remember the basics: there are good doctors, bad doctors, doctors who inspire, doctors who are lazy, doctors who lie, doctors with integrity, a doctors who can be trusted, doctors who cannot, doctors with moderate political views and doctors who represent the fringe. A sensible approach to taking care of oneself includes a trust but verify approach. Sadly, as the opiod crisis showed us, sometimes that’s not enough. Fergies’s positioning here reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with “The Maestro”.
