  1. https://nypost.com/2020/06/02/biden-suggests-officers-shoot-in-the-leg-rather-than-to-kill/ Here's one, another obscure democrat politician offering real solutions. He's one of many. It's not limited to politicians like Biden, it's media driven as well, and embraced by a large percentage of the public. If there is a caricature in play, it's the notion of wild-eyed officers looking to add to their body count any time the opportunity arises. The officers, of course, live in the same gun-crazy society and are always at a disadvantage in encounters with the public.
  2. That's a fair point about some people on the right, of course. If you're suggesting that many people are hypocritical on this issue, I agree with you. That was my point. In your scenario, given the people in the vicinity, you're come to the conclusion that shoot to kill was the only option. No warning shot. No shot to the leg. I don't think that's the case, but he made his decision in the moment. It seems to me that if this is a local officer with kids rioting at the mall, the liberals call for his head on a platter. Or, if he's a worthy martyr--Michael Brown, Jakob Blake or whomever, we get a whole different outcome from those who for one brief flickering moment of time loved law enforcement. By the way-I supported the officer then, I support him now. That day was a clustef*ck on so many levels, and his main responsibility was to go home that day. I think the pick and choose liberals who attack law enforcement out doing the hard, dirty work ought to be ashamed of themselves. Nothing more ironic than watching the politicians huddling, no doubt begging for law enforcement to show up and save the day when they needed them.
  3. What always fascinates me about the Ashlii Babbitt shooting is that it's one of the few times you see liberal politicians (and by extension, liberal voters) side with the police in a fatal shooting, or general discharge of a weapon. We know with certainty that she didn't have a weapon, didn't wave around a handgun, didn't attack the officer with a knife, or even physically attack him. Contrast that treatment by dems/liberals when a guy like Michael Brown was shot after attempting to beat an officer and steal his weapon. It's weird...no calls for warning shots or shooting her in the leg here.

Maybe it's completely legit, maybe they factor is a certain amount of slippage, but there is no doubt there are people/firms making boatloads of money off the war.
  5. My God by spring the WH might be interested in death count, virus and transmissions! All signs are pointing that way!
  6. It's pretty simple, really--they leverage fear and distrust and present themselves as the one true solution to any given problem. This is not a new concept. It happened during the pandemic on a large scale, and it was very effective.
  7. Of course, unless it’s politically advantageous to shut down the country. Watch for the warning signs—an uptick of reporting on the imminent death and despair about to befall us.
  8. This gem was priceless and indicative of the hypocritical behavior we would see repeated throughout the pandemic.
  9. Who hurt you?
  10. You learned a word this weekend. That's nice.
  11. We're probably all guilty of a bit of foolishness from time to time, but this scenario was getting weirder with each response he sent.
  12. I want you to know--I completely understand you. It's probably hard to see it, but I'm ultimately on your side.
  13. No, not in the least. I suppose all obsession starts somewhere. Of habit, most def.
  14. I enjoyed interacting with most of those folks—and always planned to make the switch. I’m just a creature of habit.
  15. I wouldn’t say you’re “bad” though cutting text to change meaning reveals lack of confidence in your position, and is most definitely the clumsy move of a pedestrian thinker. The bigger picture imo is that in a post about SUNY and his unusually long ban, you immediately thought of a poster gone for three years, hyper-fixated on the surrounding his departure, offered what appears to be a clinical diagnosis of some strange sort, implied you are omnipresent and declared that you know exactly what everyone on the board is thinking*, know the exact date of his last post….and seem to think the evidence of his continued absence is an indication of his desire to post here. In spite of our differences, I’m rooting for you.
  16. BillSy, seriously you need to take a breath and stop fixating on the other site. What I actually wrote was this: I don’t recall DR being permanently banned, I do recall a weeks absence at one point. It’s possible, there were lots of feelings hurt and apparently a soft few complained to mods. Why cut important parts of the sentence and make yourself look bad? If you’re struggling that hard for validation and acceptance, just ask. The paragraph you copied n pasted remains true to this day though. Thank you for making my point.
  17. I’m not sure how safe it is, you and a few others seem to be intimately familiar with how it all works at that site. I don’t recall DR being permanently banned, I do recall a weeks absence at one point. It’s possible, there were lots of feelings hurt and apparently a soft few complained to mods. Still, quite a few posters chose the other board and seem happy having never been suspended for even a moment or two. As for leadership by the Rhino, I don’t think it was his intent, but he obviously burrowed deeply into your psyche based on how often you fixate on him. He’s become your muse. Back to Suny though, have you ever been banned for a couple months? A couple weeks? A couple days? A couple hours? A couple minutes? I haven’t.
  18. It’s funny you bring the billsfans site up. My recollection is some members felt moderation in PPP was too heavy, and perhaps politically slanted. Those folks decided to start their own board with a different set of rules and guidelines. That’s the American way, and we all should wish them well. I recall the suspensions in question lasted a few days to a week. SUNY says he spent a couple months in solitary. Seems strange, that’s all. Agreed. We’ve got a long way to go and something as simple as a Dean Scream can change things in a heartbeat.
  19. 🤔 https://www.echelonfront.com/extreme-ownership
  20. With due respect, that makes no sense. At any given time, on any given day, half the posters are offering negative opinions on the Bills and/or management. It’s a cottage industry. The truth shall set you free.
  21. I have to ask, how does one get banned from the board for multiple months? There’s all sorts of silliness on the main board, insults flying, etc…what draws that sort of penalty?
  22. I agree with you on the serious charges levied against those who assaulted Capitol police. You can’t have it, can’t allow and an officer’s safety should come first, even though it’s generally secondary on the minds of liberals when officer’s lives are in jeopardy outside the Capitol. Imagine defending a 6’4” 292lb guy who roughs up shopkeepers, physically assaults an officer in his vehicle, attempts to steal his firearm, then charges him when the opportunity to surrender arises. https://www.politifact.com/article/2019/aug/14/death-michael-brown-legal-facts-democratic/ Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., tweeted, "Michael Brown’s murder forever changed Ferguson and America." Elizabeth Warren @ewarren 5 years ago Michael Brown was murdered by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Michael was unarmed yet he was shot 6 times. I stand with activists and organizers who continue the fight for justice for Michael. We must confront systemic racism and police violence head on.
  23. A legitimate response to what, exactly? He called me a freak. He used an expression I am unfamiliar with. I ignored the insult and asked what “PSOPS” meant. What is illegitimate about that? Do you know what it means?
  24. Did someone else use the word and you liked it? You don’t know what PSOPS means?
