  1. Maybe he just took too many blows to the head behind the plate. That or too many fastballs. He always was a little zany.
  2. He just made his room all dark and lit it with candles and herb scents and said, "Wasssssssssssssssssssup maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan"
  3. I hear ya. I am a big Kovy fan. He loves playing for his country. He wears the 'C' and plays like a leader. Look at that hit he had on Drury. When he wants to play, he's one of the top five players in the world. I have a lot of respect for Koivu. He has tremendous heart. And he's underrated in my book. Seems to have delivered more in the playoffs lately.
  4. I'm not a Jay Z fan but that's a kick ass song.
  5. Let's examine this: 1st Russia goal: Drury with awful turnover at blueline leading to breakaway goal by Korolyuk in which he dekes Esche. 2nd Russia goal: A cardinal copy except the Russians convert shorthanded on a perfectly executed give-and-go Malkin to Kasparaitis to Malkin for a slam dunk. 3rd Russia goal: Russia transitions the puck up the ice to Datsyuk who finds a wide open Markov, who blisters a shot inside the post. Maybe the only stoppable shot. 4th Russia goal: US turns over the puck and the puck is quickly thredded to Kovalev, who does his fake shot roof job inside the post that he pulled off in Game Six against the Devils 12 years ago. Virtually impossible to stop. 5th Russia goal: Another US turnover leads to a two-on-one textbook give-and-go play in which Malkin sets up Ovechkin on the doorstep for a slam dunk. What I conclude from this is the US got burned by the Russians countering ability in this game. The US had double the chances but all it took were a few mistakes and with the Russians' skill, bang, bang! It's in the net. It was nice to see Team USA play a spirited game though and find some offense. They can take that into the quarterfinal tomorrow against a tough Finland team. P.S. Malkin is awesome!
  6. LMFAO...classic Dumb and Dumber reference. Tanith dates another figure skater.

  8. Buccigross came on and was really good. It's a good listen: http://www.broadcastmonsters.com/NewyorkHo...ockey022006.asx
  9. John Buccigross is supposed to come on our show. It airs live at 8:05 and goes till 9 tonight: NY Hockey Report
  10. That's the one regarding Biggie. Brenda's Got a Baby is a classic. Also, how can there not be any Nas? He's awesome. edit: I see you did include one. Cool stuff. Here are some others: "If I Ruled The World" "Halftime" "The World Is Mine"
  11. A great song. How about Beastie Boys "Fight for your right to party" or "Paul Revere" or Snoop's "Murder was the Case" or Naughty By Nature's "OPP" or "Uptown Anthem" from Juice Oh. And It's "Keep ya head up" by 2PAC. I'm forgetting some Biggie classics too.
  12. See the thread: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...53entry607353
  13. A sport where when they fall on their asses like last night, we laugh hysterically at the broadcasters saying, "I'm in complete shock."
  14. No. It means some crooked judge fixes it and awards to the one not as deserving for alternative motive$.
  15. LMAO...I used to like DMX. His first album was awesome. "WHERE MY DAWGS AT?"
  16. Agree. I have no idea why they yell at a freaking stone. Like what's that going to do. Maybe I just don't get what's happening. And yes, there were some hot chicks. Russia had a smoking blonde the other day.
  17. Good stuff Kraze. To quote Lou Gehrig, that dude is "the luckiest man on the face of the earth."
  18. And as well your country should be. Look at the firepower up front: Sakic, Thornton, Iginla, Nash, Bertuzzi, Heatley, Gagne, Richards, Lecavalier, St. Louis And on the blueline: Pronger, Blake, Redden, McCabe They just are snake bit right now. For the record, I picked Sweden over the Czechs with Canada third. Watch out for the Russians. Nobody's talking about them but they are explosive.
  19. I liked this: Tanith, you've gotten noticed outside of your sport for your good looks. Do you enjoy that kind of attention? TB: I think that any attention that helps draw audiences to the sport is good. Obviously, I want to support figure skating as much as possible. And I'm certainly not offended by any comments that are made just regarding my looks or anything like that outside of skating. It's very flattering. But I certainly don't think that that's something that we've relied on to get us where we are, that's for sure. Obviously, hopefully, with these Olympic Games, we can prove that we can have both an attractive image but also great results and be at the peak of our game. Ben, do you realize that you're the envy of every guy who watches the Olympics because you get to skate with Tanith? BA: Oh, yeah, definitely. I'm definitely the luckiest ice dancer -- figure skater, probably -- in the world. Tanith is a wonderful person, and of course she's extremely good looking, but on top of that, she's a great person, she's fun to be with, she works hard. And we've developed a great relationship with our friendship over the years. We work hard, but we have fun and we never really fight about anything because we're always trying to work towards the same goals. It's a dream come true, and I couldn't be happier that I'm living that dream with Tanith. And how does your girlfriend feel about you going off to spend hours every day with Tanith? BA: She's not happy that I have to be away for about three weeks, but she knows that this is something I've been working for my whole life, and she is very excited that I have the opportunity to go now and pursue this dream. She and Tanith are friends; they get along very well. And I'm friends with Tanith's boyfriend, so I don't think we have any problems with those relationships. Both my girlfriend and Tanith's boyfriend are former skaters, and they understand the commitment that we have to have to our sport and to each other. And we're very lucky that they're so supportive because we couldn't do it without them.
  20. I don't usually post these things. But I am making today an exception after seeing U.S. women's ice dancer Tanith Belbin. She is skating with Ben Agosto and they are second in the competition. But who cares about that?!?!?!?! Just look at her! Originally from Quebec, she became a U.S. citizen at the end of last year: http://www.nbcolympics.com/2006/0121/5087161_135X180.jpg http://www.nbcolympics.com/2006/0112/5083960_240X180.jpg http://www.nbcolympics.com/2006/0130/5090456_240X320.jpg and by far my favorite: http://www.nbcolympics.com/2006/0130/5090460_240X320.jpg
