  1. The Connolly goal was sick. That kid has always had the talent. Not he's putting it out on display nightly. Miller is still in his first full season. Maybe he's tired. And a lot of you crowed about how he should have been the Team USA goalie. Imagine if he had gone. It wouldn't have helped.
  2. In The Living Years was solid. I cried during the end of Braveheart and Forrest Gump. Not sure that counts.
  3. The Rangers went through this a week ago. It sucked. Just gotta hope any kind of win gets ya back on track.
  4. You might want to reconsider. The Thrashers passed them last night and only eight get in. It's going to be a big battle till the end: 6.Lightning 77 pts (13 GR) 7.Devils 76 pts (14 GR) 8.Thrashers 74 pts (13 GR) 9.Canadiens 73 pts (14 GR) 10.Leafs 70 pts (13 or 14 to go) 11.Islanders 68 pts (14 GR) It's all going to come down to the divisional match-ups. Who has what it takes? I say Atlanta definitely makes it. Devils or the Habs are in trouble. Btw...for anyone who missed the show, here's an archive: http://broadcastmonsters.com/NewyorkHockey...ockey032006.asx
  5. We'll be on from 8:05-9 PM tonight hosting the NY Hockey Report. Rangers, Isles, Devils and we'll squeeze some Sabres in as well. The number to call is 877-913-9739. Check us out: NY Hockey Report
  6. The goaltending is there. The question is will the scoring and D be? There are some solid prospects such as Kessel, Erik Johnson, Jack Johnson. Those are the guys who must be heard from.
  7. Not on this board. Woo. Emily Hughes is on now! A girl who doesn't look like Sasha. Thank god.
  8. Wait. I discovered her. Who said I was sharing? As for Sasha, she's cute. But just not my cup of tea. She wears far too much makeup and looks about 14 or 15. Truth be told, I prefer Emily Hughes over her and she's 17. But at least looks mature.
  9. Underachiever, yes. But somehow he's still reached 300 career goals. He's 33 right now. He should definitely top 400. Far from a classic underachiever. Classic underachievers don't play big roles in Stanley Cups. Especially in their rookie year.
  10. Wrong on all accounts. He's a clean hitter unlike Derian Hatcher.
  11. He gave up one bad goal. Ultimately, it wasn't the difference. It was Team USA"s continued lack of discipline. The winner came on a 5-on-3.
  12. Again, it wasn't the goaltending. Discipline did them in.
  13. It didn't help that Heatley had a quiet tournament. Slovakia pressuring Czechs like crazy down 2-1 in the third. Under 3:00 left.
  14. I can't say I blame ya. Especially with Kovy. He's my favorite player. When he wants to bring it, there are few better. If you somehow got to the playoffs, #27 is a good guy to have. P.S. That Kaspar hit was vicious but clean.
  15. Honestly, it was meazza but Russia was far more aggressive the first two periods. Canada was too passive.
  16. Agreed. How does he not send Thornton out for the faceoff in that last minute? Nothing against Sakic but Thornton would've been a better option to take that draw. Sakic still could've been out there. Also, Doan deserved to be out there. He played his ass off. The sad aspect of Canada's early exit is Gretzky will get blamed.
  17. The Russians played so inspired in this game. Kozlov looked possessed setting up Ovechkin for the winner and Kovalev played like a leader. If not for Brodeur, this game would've been over sooner anyway. But also, Nabokov made some very good saves in the second as well. Russia just looked hungrier.
  18. Honestly, I don't care who was in net. Team USA didn't play smart and it cost them. They also didn't play with the passion needed until it was too late. Had they played like they did that final period with the exception of some bad penalties, they'd have competed for a medal. Oh btw...Canada played the same way with a lot more talent. So I wouldn't feel too bad. And Chelios played his ass off today. He tried so hard. He earned his 'C.'
  19. Honestly Clements, I find myself agreeing with Modano. They should be taken care of. That's what teams do. That doesn't sound all that great. I'm surprised he's not more upset that he didn't leave the bench in the third period.
  20. Any time! Imagine if it was a football show.
  21. Well, the one thing I'll say for Alex is he really steps it up in big games. Other than that boneheaded play which put the Habs down 3-1 (and boy was that brutal), he was terrific in that series and instrumental in bringing them back against the B's. That's kind of surprising about Saku. But it might explain his inconsistency. I still like him as a player.
