  1. Wow. Great prediction. I didn't think they had a chance. But Cousins was due for a bad game. Nice hops by Allen. Looks like you found your quarterback.
  2. Assuming Gettleman keeps the pick, Chubb or Barkley would be the way to go. It all depends on the Browns. What a confusing organization. Trade for Taylor and sign Drew Stanton. If they did grab Barkley who I want, I would strongly consider trading down with either Arizona or Buffalo. I hate that the draft isn’t for almost another month. Sports talk radio here sucks. It’s all fans calling about our pick and the Jets. I want this draft to come already. Enough rumors. How many Bills fans think it’s worth it to trade with us for the 2nd pick? Which QB do you want?
  3. I bet it wasn’t full Saturday. Games are no longer all selling out thanks to Dolan. He priced out a lot of fans in the lower bowl since the renovation. My family goes to about 20 games. I get to 8-10 depending if our friend has extras. I’ve been going for 21 years. The building isn’t the same. Too many rovers or unknowledgable fans who don’t wait for whistles. We sit all the way up in 419 final 2 rows. Limited view. So pricing doesn’t affect us. We don’t see the scoreboard. I don’t care. I’ll be at the final home game on Friday vs Tampa Blueshirts. Hard to believe the home season ends so early. As far as Buffalo, I thought Housley would do better. His quote the other night was pathetic. It’s Game 73 and you’re saying that. I’ve debated with my Sabres and diehard Bills pal over Eichel. He says they should consider moving him. I wouldn’t. This guy stays healthy, he will be a beast. I hope he can achieve elite status and help them turn it around. You guys have great and loyal fans. Back in the day, quite a few Sabres fans would invade MSG. They desperately need a defenseman. Obviously, Dahlin would be immense for that franchise. Ristolainen is good offensively but not so much on D. He is a 2. Give him a elite franchise guy and it can work. They should’ve done better for E. Kane. Maybe he’ll re-up in San Jose guaranteeing them a additional 1. Is Ullmark any good? Is he the future? Lehner doesn’t have it. They need a upgrade. They also need Reinhart to become a consistent scorer. 25-30 goals and 50-55 points. Nylander hasn’t done well at all. They should’ve gotten McAvoy. Oh well. You really gotta hit on those high picks.
  4. P.S. You'll be back for the 100th time by Draft Day after the Bills hit a home run!
  5. Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!! I have been anticipating this post from you! My friend. We have had this discussion many times. As a Giant fan, I respect what the Jets have done. And you know why. Cause that team doesn't make pathetic excuses everytime things don't go their way. And they also don't have a 60 year-old kindergartener on the sidelines who looks like a lunatic and has zero control of his team. They actually have a real coach. So what are Giant fans stuck with even if they lose today in a competitive game? The Cough-lin Error. They tolerate mediocrity. They don't want to be the best. Sound familiar?
  6. As a former hockey researcher for ESPN, I agree Rockpile. Sometimes, you can toss the stats out the window. Especially in that kind of pressure situation when everything is on the line. Just look at what Justin Williams said between the 2nd and 3rd period. To paraphrase, he said "they've been a third period team all year." He basically hinted that he was confident his team would tie it up and find a way to win it.
  7. Sorry to bust your bubble but any team that loses its 2nd best forward for the last two months of the season and gets as far as Carolina has has heart. They shouldn't have been able to get past Montreal with Erik Cole let alone New Jersey. It says a lot about the team they have. And also, does a no heart team comeback and win as much as they have this postseason? I don't think so. I realize Buffalo was up against it in this series in regards to the injuries on their depleted blueline and with Connolly. It is what it is. You play with what you got. You want to cry about it. I saw the Ranger season disintegrate thanks to a !@#$ing hip flexor Henrik Lundqvist suffered in practice along with the stupidest injury you'll ever see a star player get (Jagr) in Game 1 of a series. Darius Kasparaitis, Marek Malik were hurt too. It happens.
  8. Yeah. It's a rule but cmon. The biggest problem with it is that there's supposed to be distinction as to when it's called. Campbell was pressured by an attacking Cane. He wasn't trying to clear it over but move the puck off the glass or to a teammate. That's my biggest issue with it. You hate to see a team get screwed on that. And especially to decide as well played a series as that one. And that is the real sad aspect. That was a fun series to watch and a cruddy way for it to conclude. But you could also say that Buffalo had plenty of chances after that goal to tie it. They just didn't get it done. Maybe if Ruff had pulled Miller with 1:40 to go when the Sabres had a good cycle going, that would've made the difference. I couldn't believe he didn't. It was their last gasp.
  9. I can't comment on the safety but the other play was all heart.
  10. Thanks. Spoken from a diehard Ranger fan who wanted to see Buffalo win it all. And still do because I understand what you all have endured and how big a celebration it would be. Ruff for President! Miller for Vezina! Briere for Conn Smythe! And Grier for Selke!
  11. Eh. I won't get into other Buffalo teams which fell short. But Lindy Ruff got all he could out of this Sabres team and the players were maybe the most talented team they've had. I won't touch the ownership aspect. Personally, I think Buffalo has a very good chance to be back in this position next year. But it's not guaranteed. Their crop of forwards is excellent and that won't change much. Re-sign McKee and maybe get one more upgrade for the blueline and you might see them win it all.
  12. Oh come on. Yeah. I know it was a heartbreaking way to lose. But for you to say the Sabres didn't accomplish anything is just not true. That team had more heart than any other. Despite all the injuries, they gave you a heck of a ride. And gave it all. They just ran out of gas in the end. Buffalo was not supposed to be here but they proved they were capable of great things. Maybe if they had McKee and Talinder back they win it all. Maybe Connolly is the icing to that first championship. They were talented, gritty and worked their butts off. I tip my cap to the Sabres. One year it's going to happen and you won't have anything to B word about anymore. And when it does, maybe that will finally change the perception. GO SABRES IN 07!
  13. This is a good game but Buffalo should be up by more. They really could use another goal.
  14. Well, this was a good show. We brokedown Devils-Canes and had two guests on including the one and only Clements22 in our final seg. It was great. We had the Sabres perspective for an entire seg. Here's the archive: http://www.broadcastmonsters.com/NewyorkHo...ockey051606.asx
  15. Hey ya'll. We'll be talking some Sabres-Canes during the show. The one and only Clements22 should be on for a few minutes during a seg. And I am trying to land a very special guest. But not having any luck at this point. The show will run from 9:05-10 PM We'll also be taking calls at 877-913-9739. Check us out: NY Hockey Report
  16. Congrats to the Sabres on taking Game Two. Miller sounded like he robbed Spezza. Jeanneret went nuts. LOL Awesome stuff!
  17. I was a huge Bonds fan back in the day before he tarnished himself. Enjoyed him more when he could run the bases and play D. ESPN is a joke. I once worked there. They overhype everything. !@#$ing idiots. I remember I once got a paycheck with some stupid promor ad for "Season On The Stink." 2nd rate sh-- at its best. F that company. They are the antichrist.
  18. Ah. I see someone beat me to the punch.
  19. Solid choice. I thought Juice was depressing too. Some good acting by 2Pac and Omar Epps. Other movies I'd include: Clockwork Orange- a cult classic that's disturbing in so many ways Dead Poet's Society- solid movie with some great acting from Robin Williams; very sad ending but there was a good message in it that I liked American Beauty- If you've seen it, you know why. It's messed up.
  20. Nobody is saying Kobe isn't great. But for all his heroics in Game 4 and Game 6, his team needed him badly in Game 7 last night. And after he had a great 2nd quarter with his team down 15 at the half, the Lakers needed him to try to take over that game in the second half. Like he did against Toronto scoring 81. Instead, what did Kobe do? Hardly even looked for his shot and kept giving the ball up. Real superstars don't do that when their teammates can't throw the ball in the ocean. He was so passive it was sad. I thought Kobe would've gone out swinging. But instead, he wussed out. It was disappointing.
  21. I really liked Favre but he's an idiot. He's got that organization by the balls and is screwing them royally. No wonder Javon Walker wanted out of there.
  22. Moulds was very good for the Bills. Even great. But I'd have to say Reed was better. When I think of those explosive Bills teams of the 90's, it's Kelly, Thomas and Reed.
  23. American History X. It's just very powerful. And the end is so sad.
