(OT) Jessica Lunsford Was Raped, Buried Alive
philburger1 replied to philburger1's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not directly, no. But if you lived in place were this stuff was never reported, and brushed under the table, I bet you wouldn't worry too much about your kids talking to strangers. Or wonder if the new weirdo in the neighborhood was a registered sex offender. You'd rather not know that there are real monsters in the world? Ignorance is bliss I guess..... -

You want to close your eyes and pretend this sh-- doesn't happen? I'd rather know what kind of sick pups are in the world. Helps me to know how to protect my family. -
Like a posted a while back: WTF Is worng with people? Give me five minutes with that scumbag and he'd be clutching a purple dolphin..... HOMOSASSA, Fla. -- There are more detailed, disturbing allegations in the kidnap-death of a 9-year-old Florida girl. State prosecutors say Jessica Lunsford, who was found dead last month, had been raped, bound and buried alive, kneeling and clutching a purple stuffed dolphin. She was buried behind the mobile home where her alleged killer was living, state prosecutors said in newly released documents. Jessica Lunsford's body was found March 19 buried, sitting and clutching the toy just 150 yards from her home in Homosassa, about 60 miles north of Tampa, according to the documents released Wednesday.

Nope. Marks Fields had cancer too, but he was an active player, and Sam Mills was his coach. Fields miss the whole Super Bowl season, while Sam Mills missed the first part to go thru chemo but made it back to the sidelines later in the year. At the start of the season, the Panthers players decidicated the upcoming season to both Sam Mills and Mark Fields. I guess it might seem strange to people who don't follow that Panthers that much. Who ever heard of a linebacker in the NFL and his coach both fighting cancer at the same time. Mark Fields came back and played last year, and at times looked real good, so his story has a happier ending.

No, he has been a linebacker coach for the Carolina Panthers for the past 4 years. He had to take time off two years ago during the Panther's SuperBowl season to go thru chemo. A couple years ago, they put a nice big statue of him outside of the Panther's stadium. He was a terror back in the mid to late 90's, with him and Kevin Greene on the field at the same time.

No nail files on a plane? Oh the horror! Call Amensity International and Bono. I am sure all this hype about terrorism is just created to make you miserable. -

Fine, fine. I would argue two points: 1) we have a much larger population than most Western nation (Canada, France, England). So of course we will see more cases of abuse and such. 2) We are sue happy. Everybody wants a lawsuite. So when there is chance to make some money, you get a lot of people claiming some form of abuse, even when there is none. See Tawana Brawley. More cases show up in that stats. -

Give me a break. Don't be jackass in public. If that guy was too stupid to know what he was doing was going to raise some eyebrows, then get him the hell out of there. Just like some on a plane making some wise comment about having a bomb on a plane. Don't blame people for reacting to the reality of the world we now live. Why not blame the jerkoffs hijack planes and make threats to kill infidels instead? -

Well, child and spousal abuse is much more common in the Middle East, but to them it is not a crime. You can kill your wife if she "ruins your honer". Or stone hem to death for having an affair. Food for thought -

Well said! CLAP! CLAP! You can also talk about the problems created in the school systems. Know any teachers? Ask them how time, money, and resources are taken away from children of legal citizens. Plus, to fund the schools, counties raise properity taxes. The illegals aren't paying any taxes into that system. Over-burden the system any one? -

Then why doesn't Mexico invade Spain instead? If we are living in the "250 plus years in the past world". After all, how did Spanish become their official language? Isn't that a country in Europe? -

Bull. I am sure there are dozens of Third World countries that would love to work out a LEGAL way to get boatloads of their people here to work. You act like non-skill, menial labor is such a tough commodity to fill. The only thing that keeps millions from other countries from trying to sneak in is the ocean. Work out an orderly, supervised program with some of those countries, and you have your cheap lettuce pickers. And is isn't just farm jobs we are talking about by the way. Been thru a McDonalds drive-thru lately? And I thought they screwed up the orders before when they had English speaking teenagers working there.... -
Or "let the chickens roam free". Did you ever see that skit on SNL? It made fun of the "We are the world" video. The artists were protesting the fact that all chickens are not raised in free range farms. So when the celebs are singing, they show this slow motion video of chickens running around. Chris Farley was dressed up as the fat chick from Wilson Phillips. too funny

None, but they also don't sponsor suicide bombers and launch scud missles at our allies, and use chemical weapons on their own people.... ...and when is the last time someone from the Congo hijacked an American plane, or blew up our Marine barracks? If countries like France are self-righteous, why don't they go do something? Where are the protesters demanding a stop to the killings and rapes in the Congo? Mr. Moore? Hollywood crowd? any one?
