Brutal announcers like that just make it even more obvious how great people like Rick J and Bob Cole from CBC really are.

To be quite honest I think the goalie "play zone" is not really a necessary rule, and in the long run will get the NHL in trouble when they have to call a penalty like that late in an important playoff game.....but time will tell I guess.

What about Jim Bates as HC? Or even as DC? He seems like a highly respected guy throughout the league. and he did a hell of a job on defense in Miami.

To me that looked more like Ralph covering up and not wanting to answer any specifics about that topic. I guarantee he has an active hand in the assistants.

Say what you will about Ralph, he is certainly sincere about the club.

One thing people may be overlooking is.....with Levy in the head office, what better mentor for Mularkey (if he stays) to learn to become less hands on and a more effective delegator. He will be learning from the best.

Why would they want to be a "lame duck" for the last few games? How much more lame duck can we possibly be....you could have Screech (from saved by the bell) coaching these guys and get a better result.
