Very brief overview He is using a more dump and chase method..so D gets the puck in their zone, they fire a stretch pass to a forward , forward dumps the puck into the offensive zone, and the forwards forecheck and work the "cycle" game. couple problems with that 1) it is a proven fact that in the game of hockey, very rarely do you score when you do not have the puck 2) that has led to teams focusing on possession time...which the Sabres still suck at outside of Jack 3) (now watch JohnC's head explode) Big part of the problem is our D can't clear and carry the puck and make an accurate first pass, why they need to trade Kane for puck carrying D-man 4) PK design is too passive, and thats killing this team That being said, this team being so lazy ass getting on and off the ice in the 2nd is not Disco's fault...its the players. And their -22 in the 2nd leads the NHL...if everyone else can handle the long change, so can they

Think the B's and the Islanders have both made up some ground after they fired their coaches(hint hint GMTM). Good thing is Sabres have 4 games left against the Avalanche and Coyotes..starting tonight. Lose tonight...fire the whole lot of em!!!!! I am travelling and did not see either game this weekend. That being said, by all accounts Lehner was terrific on Saturday. And wholly moly, just reading some of his(Lehner's) quotes from last night. Sure sounds like disco has lost the room no? Sounded to me like Lehner was saying Jack has tuned out Dan...can Dan really stay in that scenario?

Had a question on this for someone who knows the rules much better than I for college hoops. Setting a pick is legal, i get that. Running into player setting pick is not a foul right? So why was that a foul...is it because the ball was not in play yet?

To be clear, I really like Kane. That being said, the Sabres are stacked at wing prospects and devoid of D prospects outside of Guhle. And Kane ain't taking a home town discount after next year, nor is he taking less than $5.2M he making now. Gotta be at least $6M no? So you will have Sam, Jack, ROR, Risto, Kyle, , Kane, Jake, a top pair D (to be named ), Bogo (unless you can drop him) , all making over 5M??? Is that doable? BTW, friggen Jake needs to fire his agent pronto

I can, just root for another tank. I cant believe i am going to say this...but that was the most exciting Sabre season in the last 5 years...man i was on pins and needles for games that year..this year i watch at 4 AM and speed through most of the games.
