I am not sure when that post was made, but i think it is in this thread.I was referring to any positing that thought pre-2018. Listen , i think the majority of the Trump supporters on this board position during the campaign was "he wants to build a wall, I do too. Mexico will never pay for it, but he will fight for it and I like that" . I can respect that, and have no issues with it. But to claim now he really meant pay through it in tariffs, show me anywhere he indicated that or anyone else indicated that was what he" really" meant. thank you for consolidating my thought into a nice clear post..much better than I did in 10 posts?

See..maybe i misunderstood what you mean by "programming". If we are talking whats on TV..than we are in complete, 100% agreement. But to think that people can not form independent thoughts cause MSNBC is airing some asinine story..that's where we disagree.

The perception i have, (and it may not be reality but perception is reality no?), is that if someone disagrees with Trump, or leans liberal, or does not believe in the deep state..they have been programmed by the MSM...and they are lemmings and just plain dolts. not just by you, but you do use the terms quite a bit throughout your posts. It is language like that that inhibits meaningful conversation and exchange of ideas in my mind..

my beef with yall is the generalizations you make upon anyone who disagrees with Trump. I believe Trump does not care about the country, only wants what is best for him and his interests, and jeopardizes our security and economy by his actions and words and seeming admiration for autocrats. I agree they were real..and I agree that the government has repeatedly lied to the citizenry ..I also can form opinions and worldviews that include those two realizations and come to different conclusions than you ..that does not mean I am programmed. And maybe I misconstrue your use of that word(programmed), but you have used it repeatedly just in the last 6 posts in this thread

and I like those threads and posts..and not to get too grandiose here but defend your right to make them and have never denigrated you or your posts. I don't agree with much of them, and that's fine, but have never questioned your ability to form your own opinion. But you immediately assume anybody that has a differing opinion or does not believe we are "at war" has been programmed by the MSM...i just think that's a leap too far.

That may be, but your insistence that anyone who has a view other than yours has been programmed or brainwashed remains the same, I think others can have differing views that they themselves came up with.. you seem to disagree with that statement if it opposes your view.

I don't agree here Doc..I don't think Trump really cares whether he gets any funding for the wall or not..that was, to me, obvious when he first said he would agree to the original funding that did not include funding then abruptly changed course when his base and biggest supporters went bat chit crazy on him as haven given in to the Dems. Why can he not have the military fund/build the wall as he claimed earlier in the week? If he really believed the wall was critical to the safety of the nation, would he not be pursuing all avenues? Would he not be looking to fund the whole stinking thing? He is not cause he just wants to recharge his base and claim victory... Again, its the same for the Dems. Not about whether a wall is a good option or not, it is just about denying Trump said victory.
