yea,, chicks be thinking something different. Lord i hate my tiny hands!!! dude, we are in a position to make some moves. A #2 center is desperately needed..and this team and fan base needs a playoff appearance. 3 number 1s..eh. Get me one so for a combination of picks and decent prospect like Olufson or Smith..i all good. BTW, Ullmark should be the #1 at least for the time being

okay, obfuscate as much as you want..when oine has no clear logic argument ..fight over degrees of adjectives. Can you please explain this tweet as it relates to why a wall will work if we already have a wall why it's not working. If you cant, and you want to argue the difference between the meaning of much and most... I get it. You can't defend the tweet, so you try and switch the debate to the ridiculous. Works for dolts, does not work for people who have brains. Please for the love of god explain this tweet and the reason why we need more money for a wall when we already have one and yet have an epidemic problem with immigration. Simple question should be a simple answer if a wall works
-
really??? damn, I don't mind arguing with yall, but are we getting into he the meaning of the word is? Please do tell me the difference between "much" and "most"
-
“Much of the wall has been fully renovated or built” Exact freaking words, and I mean exact. Tell me where I am being disengenous.
-
@Buffalo_Gal So’s ya saying it was not related to Pelosi?? it it was a valiant try, and I had a good chuckle!

Your words .. what part am I misconstruing? “Not when you have only 200 miles of wall. It’s not even half done yet. “ certainly implies you believe the wall is close to half done. Trumps words “we have a mostly built and upgraded wall” which one one is correct? You and the wall is not quite half built yet or Trump that it is? I am going with POTUS. after all, he is the POTUS. but tell me again how how I can’t read. And tell me again why a wall is effective if POTUS tells me we have a wall , and we still have an epidemic when it comes to illegal immigration. I have asked you this now three times, and you refuse to form an argument that refutes a wall is not an effective solution. Your standard retort of “ I walked away, Trump is smart, you dumb” is tiresome. Form an argument, present some evidence , and have a meaningful discourse on the subject.

You don’t even believe that! But nice try!

Hi All, This idea came up in the thread on Improving TBD..so thought I would post and see if we have enough folks interested to start a club/contest on the board. Simple idea..pick the Against the Spread winner in all the playoff games coming up. You get one point for each correct pick. Most points wins the contest. 10 or less entrants, prolly 100% to winner, more than 10 we can devise a payout structure. I can also research if these are best done with escalating points by round to keep people alive and interested etc. Anyways, if your interested just post in the thread a Yay!!
-
no..you posited that a wall was self-evident would be an effective measure against illegal immigration. Trump has posted that we have a wall already built and upgraded. So the evidence shows it does not work. I will take evidence over ideas 100% of the time. 200 miles half done eh?
-
Now I just don't understand..hsi(Trumps)words mind you, not mine @Swill Merchant argued a wall is a no brainer..and yet Trump claims we have a wall already along "much of the border" ..and yet we still have an immigration crisis. Seems to me throwing good money after bad maybe? Definition of insanity maybe? That's a brilliant retort!!!!! Was it going to take too long a time to form a cogent argument about the logic that follows the tweet and the immigration problem ala building a wall? If we have a wall already, and upgraded one at that, and we have a massive immigration problem..does that not logically mean a wall does not work??? just answer that simple question
-
I am not quite sure. According to Trump and his followers, we have an immigration crisis of massive proportions. and also according to Trump, we already have a wall in place and that has been fully renovated or built. So logic dictates a wall does not work..or he is lying..which one ya got?

Kitchens is the key there...but if he stays and the Offence hums, he is gone next year to a Head Coach job in a Willimas/Kitchens setup. Is that what the Browns want ..Gregg( the third G for genius) picking an offensive coordinator after one year? Or do you want an offensive minded coach ? Interesting questions

Yes the tariffs are having the desired effect on the Chinese economy. Reasonable people can disagree on if the desired effect is good or bad for the US economy. Trump is betting based on the volume of the trade deficit between the two countries, China will cry uncle first and acquiesce to the changes Trump wants. I think that may be wishful thinking..they ain't worried about an election! Lets even say they do give in 100% to Trump wants..a Chinese economy with 1.4 Billion people that now has less economic buying power..is that good for the US when so many companies have earnings and projections tied to that market? And yes, I think cutting the tax was a horrible idea for the economy. It was a one-time sugar rush injected into an already strong economy that was just not needed. It is affecting our deficits and the markets are reflecting what most expect to happen to corporate profits and growth in the next 18-24 months. Have some unskilled workers been able to be put back on employment rolls? Yep..lets see how long that lasts. Lots of indicators point to a weakening economy...outlined here very well i think. https://www.kiplinger.com/article/business/T019-C000-S010-business-spending-forecast.html

I totally get that! -
Yes I can, itnis all over the place. The Chinese economy is slowing down, that’s just a fact. The Trump tariffs, while not 100% responsible for that, is contributing to the slowdown. BTW, that is THE VERY THING TRUMP WANTS , If you understood what Trump wanted to accomplish with the tariffs, you would be bragging on your guy causing the slowdown as he feels the pressure exerted on the Chinese by the tariffs would have this very effect and force them into negotiations. And BTW, when trilllion dollar market cap companies get hurt, you can bet your sweet behind it hurts all of USA. Let’s not forget the other pillar of his economic plan was to cut corporate tax so much earnings woild continually grow at outpaced levels , corporate spending therefore would increase, and all the tickle down effects would then occur. When you policies are having the the opposite effect, your whole plan is in trouble. Damn, do a little research and have a bit of understanding befor wjjuat saying “ Trump is God, never wrong”

Hmmm, was this common? I was was just rewatching an old Community, and this very same thing was on there! -
I think the larger macro issue is the 2nd largest economy in the world is starting to slow down. I am not saying 100% due to the Trump tariffs, but theyvare certainly contributing to to the slowdown. For many businessses, especially tech companies, a good portion of their 1-3 year strategic plans incorporate healthy revenue growth in China and APAC. Those projections and plans are being put at jeopardy due to the global slowdown that Trump is turbo charging with inane tariffs. Apple is just a harbinger of what’s to come earning wise from other tech companies if this tariff mess is not cleaned up quick.
-
Do you understand how global markets work and the effect of tariffs? My gut tells me no. Based on your statement, you believe somehow the US economy is insulated form world markets. God bless ya son, I guess ignorance teulybis bliss. Go back to being happy!
-
And so it begins. Trump is so xenophobic and childlike in his thoughts , i am not 100% sure he understands the global economy at all. I sure as hell hope he gets this mess figured out fast. https://www.axios.com/apple-earnings-warning-2ea38184-4298-41cb-bac1-2f9f1ceaa8b9.html

Fact. That dude has some facts wrong, but let’s even say they are all 100% correct. That clip never, and I mean never, addresses the effectiveness of a wall.

The draft was active, several older cousins, none who had gone on to college., a couple who ended up in country...better believe it was a topic of conversations at almost every family gathering. I certainly wasn't part of the conversation at age 6-11, but trust you me , you pick things up at that age. Had a cousin as well at the same time married this dude who had defected from Romania and i completely remember the adults talking about the Iron Curtain, and I took it literally. I thought this dude had lived behind some huge Iron Curtain like the Wizard of Oz
