Right but a different era...there are only 7 rounds in the draft as opposed to 12...free agency and a salary cap....you don't need to hit the bottom to become a good team
Why is it bad business? There's plenty of money and the salary cap continues to increase every year. The owners have to pay a certain amount to the players every year
Why...the salary cap is the difference between NFL and MLB....owners still bring in billions. They're not hurting for money. No NFL team loses money at the end of the year...plus it's only a 5 year deal....not the 10 year fully guaranteed deals baseball gives out
