  1. Which means it's a good deal for both. Garopollo gets rich and 49ers can get out after a couple of years if he doesn't play well. Which is why if Bills choose to try and sign Cousins, they can do it and still build team around him
  2. as are most big contracts
  3. JK, good post You're not the first person to say this. Why do you think this? Contracts can be structured a number of ways. The Bills can sign Cousins if they choose to
  4. unfortunately, that is a risk with the kind of money available
  5. Your idea works as well. Just saying they can sign Cousins and draft well and still be ok. Not saying that's what i want but it can be done.
  6. Why, we have a president who can't read
  7. Why do you say that? There are so many ways to structure a contract to make them fit....plus cap is expected to increase again for next season
  8. Maybe he's tired of getting hurt every year
  9. Most losers do
  10. but there are injuries so that is why he'll probably be available. I think there are better options than Bradford
  11. and like Doc said...his wife has a little bit of money as well
  12. But he still has an injury history and bad knees.....why bother signing him at all? I don't get this
  13. Except that he's rarely healthy and has bad knees
  14. and on offense....Hyde and Breida at RB...Garcon and Goodwin at WR and Kittle at TE
  15. it's only a 5 year deal.....Albert Pujos, A-Rod, A. Haynesworth.....many contracts much worse
  16. Right but a different era...there are only 7 rounds in the draft as opposed to 12...free agency and a salary cap....you don't need to hit the bottom to become a good team
  17. I was agreeing with you. It just didn't come across that way
  18. and a 1-31 record the last 2 seasons
  19. Plus Brees is due and Rodgers and Wilson should be getting raises soon
  20. Why is it bad business? There's plenty of money and the salary cap continues to increase every year. The owners have to pay a certain amount to the players every year
  21. There's a team salary cap. Seems to be working fine...players getting a lot of money and owners make a profit every year
  22. It's only a 5 year deal...maybe an out after 3...it's not that bad of a contract for the 49ers
  23. Why...the salary cap is the difference between NFL and MLB....owners still bring in billions. They're not hurting for money. No NFL team loses money at the end of the year...plus it's only a 5 year deal....not the 10 year fully guaranteed deals baseball gives out
