  1. Jim Rome disagrees.........he said on his show that even if the play works, it is the wrong call. Schoop and the Bulldog always take the extreme or opposite point of view and defend it in such a condescending way as if they have a superior grasp of the game of football.
  2. Even the Lions knew enough to part ways with this guy.......I can't imagine how the Bills front office goes through their performance appraisal process, but they apparently have set their expectations very low.
  3. I think we should all tear down the goal posts at the end of the game...........they certainly won't be expecting it and we will not have police horses and dogs to contend with...... and we simply are reliving our glory years. Seriously, if we were passionate enough to do it back then, why not have enough passion to do it when we have hit rock bottom. I'm not advocating complete destruction of the stadium, just a few goal posts are harmless enough. This would be an unpredecented sign of displeasure that would get alot of media attention........now when need about 5,000 fans with enough balls to do it.
  4. I am more amazed how Jauron was able to disappear from the sidelines to the crowd...........I guess if I had made a call like that I would want to disappear as well. Watch at the 20 second mark, Jauron magically appears sitting in the stands wearing a Jets hat. Hopefully, he will reveal how he made that happen, or maybe it was just a look alike.
  5. Honesty is the best policy: "To the Fans of Buffalo, bend over and and get ready from the same old Dick"
  6. How about a reverse to Evans or a tailback pass from Lynch or Jackson or maybe a flee flicker........desperate times, calls for desperate measures.
  7. It's not the coaching = contract extension was signed........case closed
  8. I have to agree 100%........the first play I see after getting home late is Whitner getting beat by Fasano.......didn't get to see a replay but all I could see was Fasano making the catch and Whitner being a step late. I flip the channel and see Troy Palamanu (sp.) pick off Romo. I turn on the game this evening and see Ed Reed intercept a pass and return a fumble for a TD. I have not seen one single play like this out of Whitner in three years. Scott is more of a playmaker than Whitner. The Whitner supporters are losing some ground. Yes, this is not even close to our biggest concern, but the fact of the matter is that he just doesn't make many plays. I don't even want to hear he was playing hurt.
  9. I am not an estate tax expert.......but wouldn't it be foolish for Ralph to sell the team now as his heirs will receive the stepped up value basis as of date of death. I really think that it is almost impossible for him to sell the team while he is alive because of the enormous capital gains taxes that he would owe. Again, I am making my own assumptions based on my understanding of estate taxes, which is not very much.
  10. The sad part is that we had LeBeau here as a defensive assistant.........can you imagine having this man on your staff and only keep him in the background........I know he was eventually offered the job, but unfortunately it was too late.
  11. I highly doubt that there were any parameters in place. I would equate this to asking your girlfriend to sign a pre-nup before you put the ring on her figure.....yes you would love to protect yourself, but still is a slap in the face that I don't trust you. I don't think that they would insult Jauron with any kind of parameters, not to say that I don't think there should have been. I imagine the Bills saw an opportunity to secure a 5-1 coach at the time with a contract that was probably "on the cheap". They probably were jumping for joy that they got such a bargain. His contract could have waited until the end of the season, as I don't think there would have been a long line of suitors for his coaching services, but I truly believe the way the season was going at 5-1, that Jauron's price would have gone up considerably from the point in the season in which they signed him. That is what I think the thought process was with the early signing of Jauron
  12. At least if we suck with a proven winner at the helm.......I will feel good that we gave it the "old college try" As a general rule, in life you usually get what you pay for, and that is exactly what we are getting with Jauron.
  13. I have been reading many posts on this board that speculate it would take close to 10 million a year to get him to even consider coaching. We all know that Ralph is not going to put up this kind of money for a coach. How about the fans of Buffalo take a different approach and tell Ralph that our gift to him for our gratitude for keeping the Bills in Buffalo all of these years, that we would like to send him out a winner, by buying him a coach. This is our way to give back to him for all he has done for us, and even if the greatest majority of us are not sincere about this gesture, at least we have a coach that we the fans have chosen. Maybe we could even have some kind of fan vote on which coach we want to coach as our gift to Ralph. Just ballparking the numbers......... 70,000 fans x 8 games x $20.00 gets us well over the 10 million figure. The question becomes how many people would be on board paying an extra $160.00 per season to see a winning product (not that their are any guarantees by hiring Cowher), but I like our chances with a proven winner. I think this would be a small price to pay. Obviously, I know this is not how business works........but as long as we all are throwing hypotheticals out there, I figured I would ask if anyone else would be willing?
  14. I have two tickets that I am looking to get face value out of. They are section 329 row 25 seats 11 and 12. They are $45 a piece. Send me a message if you are interested. I had them on e-bay and somebody bid them up and then told me he had an unexpected expense. I have paypal and could ship them out on Tuesday morning or I could arrange to meet at the stadium on Sunday.
  15. I know exactly what you are talking about, my brother went to Vanderbilt. It is called the Brass Stables. Not bad, but nothing like the ballet. You had to pay to bring your own beer, something like pay 20.00 for them to let you take in a 12 pack.
  16. If you can't recognize that Lee has a special talent after what you have seen already, then I feel sorry for you.
  17. Someone needs to take him to the Canadian ballet tonight, and that will seal the deal. Nashville has the honky tonk music, but we have the ballet.
  18. I am relatively new to this board. I have been reading LSI Cadets taking quite a bashing, and I can see why now with ridiculous comments like this. Is his MO trying to get the board riled up or does he really feel this way? I also was reading a month or so ago about Delucca being ridiculed. Are they one and the same as far as insights?
  19. I am having a draft day party with 20 plus people and have to come up with a draft day pool. I was thinking of having everyone submit the players that they think each team will draft in the first round. Each player will receive a point value for the number of picks away the player was actually picked vs. where each person had that player slotted on their sheet. For example, if you had Peterson slotted to go at 3 and he goes at 12, you would receive a +9 for Peterson. The point values for all 32 players that each person picks will be added together and the person with the lowest score wins the pot of money. I am also thinking of running a side pool, where each person throws in a dollar and chooses who they think will be picked #1. If you are right you go to the next pick, and have to put in another dollar, if you are wrong you are out. The last person remaining obviously takes the pot and we start another one.
  20. I am not saying linebacker isn't a priority. I am saying I want the best possible running back to go with the current strengths of our team as opposed to the best linebacker. We can get a quality linebacker in round 2.
  21. I hope Willis is off the board when we pick at 12. This will leave them with no choice, but to go in the direction that they should would this pick: Peterson (if he falls to us), otherwise Lynch. I don’t care if you are building a football team or a business, you have to fully maximize your strengths. It is quite obvious with the development of JP Losman and the emergence of Lee Evans as a bonafide all-pro caliber receiver and the commitment to improve the offensive line in the offseason, that the strength of this football team is on the offensive side of the ball. We are lacking a key ingredient, however, a legitimate game-breaking #1 caliber running back. All the other pieces are in place to quite possibly take this offense to an elite level except for this running back. That is why we need to use this pick to fill this missing piece, and accentuate our strengths. As much as I am impressed with Willis and his jaw-dropping 40 time etc., he is not going to put our defense at an elite level this year. The addition of a Peterson or Lynch could possibly take our offense to this level. For any of you who disagree as a way to build a football team, please see the superbowl teams as models – Indianapolis wins with an elite offense while having a porous defense, and Chicago wins with a lights out defense and horrible offense. The point I am making is that it is best to make one side of the ball the best it can possibly be and in our case, the pick would be a the best running back available ………case closed.
  22. This would be ideal. When the season starts, I would be disappointed not to see one of three RB's in our backfield either: Peterson, Lynch, or Turner.
  23. Were all three of the women he knocked up from Florida. For some reason I thought one was from Buffalo.
