  1. Yes, clearly Campbell is a horrible quarterback because he was not a superstar in one game with the Raiders. I am certainly not a Campbell lover by any means, but I certainly do not give up on a guy who cant succeed in one full game as a starter in a horrendous organization. If anything the Raiders should be ashamed of themselves. The guy has physical tools that can develop into a good quarterback. You bring him in as your big off season addition and let him play one full game? Are you kidding me? We saw how Randy Moss struggled in Oakland, we see bust after bust in the draft every year, we see coaching changes every other year, eventually I would have to think that it is not as simple as football talent. Campbell may or may not have been good in Buffalo, but at least it would have been an effort to improve.
  2. Vince is DEFINITELY still their starter. Just because the guy has one bad game doesnt mean he is on the trade block. He has won like 12 out of his last 14 starts or something ridiculous like that.
  3. Yes McNeil would be an amazing pickup, as many of the other left tackles out there that had negotiation problems would have been. However, this organization will just not pull the trigger. Its impossible to think we can win with this roster. I dont care who the hell is coaching, there isnt a coach that has ever been on the sidelines that could win with this roster. I would estimate that 80% of our roster would be backups on different teams.
  4. Vincent Jackson is far from disgruntled. The guy is a class act and a great team player. If you have ever watched any segments on him, or heard his teammates comments about him you would see that. The guy is a top wide out in the NFL, and is far from the first guy to ever dispute a contract. Of course guys don't want to play for Buffalo. They have no commitment to winning. Bringing in some quality veterans along with drafting well will change the whole thought process of the team. What would be so wrong with bringing AJ Hawk in? Give me a break. We have the biggest group of no name linebackers I have ever seen. There is a reason everyone has heard of AJ Hawk, and your casual NFL fan does not know Reggie Torbor or Akin Ayodele. The packers are completely stacked at linebacker, and have no running backs. Thats why the trade talks have even been entertained in the Hawk/Lynch situation. It seems as though on two bills drive there is not a good veteran player out there EVER on the market. Although the quality teams in the league such as the Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, Jets, etc. etc. etc. always seems to find a place for these guys. There is a mixture of veterans and young players for a successful NFL team. Not just one or the other.
  5. I have to say I totally agree that this team will not be good until Ralph is no longer the owner. However, its fun to think about. The Vincent Jackson thing boggles my mind. Just like TJ Housmandazeh being available, and countless other receivers that we made no play for. Why not bring a proven veteran in. Even Vincent Jackson, the guy is a stud. Trade a 2nd or 3rd pick for the guy. WHAT THE HELL DO WE USE THESE PICKS FOR ANYWAY! Buffalo Bills draft picks are way too overvalued. What are we saving them for? John McCargo, James Hardy, Marshawn Lynch, Aaron Maybin, Chris Ellis....etc etc etc. Give me a break. We need to grow some balls and pull the trigger on some real talent. We were actually in the right direction having T.O. and Lee Evans on the field together. The play calling, and quarterback needed to change but you have to start somewhere. Vincent Jackson is a guy that the Bills should have previously, and should currently be making an attempt at. Furthermore, every veteran left tackle that was on the market would get torn apart by every bills fan on this board. Boy, I bet Flozell Adams would look pretty good right now. Hell, I would even take an injured Jared Gaither, and wait for him to be healthy. This team is bad. I didnt think it could be worse than last year, but WOW. I think we could have all seen the trouble ahead when Steve Johnson was named out starting wide out. Thats actually comical. We wont go 0-16, but I think we are every bit as bad as those recent 0-16, 1-15 teams in recent years. I cant wait for Kelly to finally take this ship over!
  6. Yes its a shame what happened to Norwood. I totally agree that Christie was a better kicker and it was definitely time for him to go, but for too many years that super bowl loss was blamed on him. Give me a break. You have to give your kicker a better chance than a 47 yarder off grass. 90 percent of TODAYS stronger legged kickers cant make that kick. The shock that everyone had for that missed field goal should have been replaced with the shock that we couldnt get our kicker in range versus an inferior team
  7. I live in Tampa, and get all of the Bucs info I can handle. Donald Penn is an absolute STUD! He is known here as THE BEST TACKLE IN FOOTBALL THAT NO ONE HAS HEARD OF! I am sure we would never go after him, but if we did I myself would be thrilled! Nothing but GREAT is spoke of this guy around here.
  8. The rest of the good IMO: WOOD LEVITRE EVANS STROUD POZ MAYBIN (i hope) KAWICKA LEODIS
  9. Gaither is a complete stud at left tackle first of all. Secondly, he is NOTHING like Jason Peters in the slightest bit. Gaither is a smothering, huge, and uncharacteristically tall tackle. Like previously noted, Peters was a quick, athletic, tight end conversion. Are we seriously worried about the man's grades in college?? Fact of the matter is that he has been an exceptional tackle, and the Michael Oher pick was an example of a team with a ton of depth drafting the best player on their board rather than going with a need. Oher is very marketable as well and Gaither's contract was running out. None of these reasons warrant not picking Gaither up in my opinion. A franchise left tackle makes the ENTIRE line much better as we have seen time and time again. I am sick of trying to build ONLY through the draft. I agree that is where your core comes from, but if you look at EVERY super bowl winner for the last 10 years free agency and trades are always just as much a factor as drafted players on those teams. YOU NEED BOTH!
  10. Hey Guys, What is everyone's take on Marshawn Lynch? Do you think he will be a member of the team this year, or do we head in a different direction? As of right now, his roll will be limited as it is. It starts to make me wonder if he may become a cancer and start demanding trades half way through the season. I have always been a big Lynch fan but Freddie J makes it impossible to hope for Marshawn to get carries. Also, although he is more powerful then Jackson, it seems to me that he really isnt even that good of a short yardage back. I dont know if I have a short memory, but from what I remember of last season Marshawn seemed to get stuffed a lot, and Jackson would seem to get a lot of second effort yards. I wouldnt mind having all three backs contribute, but I have a hard time believing Nix and Gailey brought in Chad Simpson ONLY for special teams.
  11. I too LOVE what the defense is shaping up to be. If the secondary can stay healthy I would be hard pressed to find a better 4 man set of DBs than MCGEE, WHITNER, JBYRD, and MCKELVIN. Also, I think Maybin is going to be UNREAL this year as a pass rushing linebacker from the outside. Then the defensive line with Kyle Williams, Marcus Stroud, and Torrell Troup! Thats a lot of beef up front. Im excited about this season IF AND ONLY IF we get the left tackle position taken care of. WE MUST GET GAITHER or BROWN! I do like the pickup of Wang on the offensive line and watched him quite a bit in college. He definitely is talented, but I would rather watch him be a stud at right tackle then a project at left tackle. Add a franchise left tackle to the young, high picks like Wood, Levitre, Wang, and the mix of DECENT veterans and I think we have one of the best offensive lines in the league that no one has heard of in 2 years. Just my opinion GO BILLS
  12. Lindell is a very good kicker. He had a streak of 42 or so in a row under 40 yards. There are a lot of teams that would LOVE to have a consistant kicker like Lindell. Everyone complains about the Monday night kick that he missed. If we ever threw the ball further than 2 yards down field that would have been a chip shot field goal. Not to mention a couple of others that were missed were in very bad conditions which made his average a little worse than usual, but the kicker position is certainly not where our problem lies. Lindell is certainly never a kicker that has made me nervous. He is very sound and solid in my opinion. Now the offensive play calling this year was a disaster as far as I am concerned. Why bother paying Lee Evans and having quarterbacks with strong arms if we dump to the running backs every damn play.
  13. He is gone in the top 20, he is without a doubt the best TE prospect in the draft
  14. I cant believe this is even a discussion. A 12,000 yard career rusher is being bashed when our other options are chris brown (has proven he can not start in this league) and rhodes who is a decent runner behind a great line at best and was outshined by a rookie. As an every down back the guy has never had less than 1000 yards and is an absolute beast by the goal line. Believe me I am no Corey Dillon fan but to say this guy wouldnt be an improvement from Willis or any of the other visitors we had would be absolutely ridiculous.
  15. Thanks so much for the help, did u get either of these from the meislmann list (if ur familiar with what im talking about). I am going to try these addresses tomorrow thanks again
