  1. This thread is rather humourous.

Americans who think they understand what is going on in Canada by reading the news and twitter...reading this thread, it is almost as if you guys really have no clue at all. You don't actually believe all the nonsense and lies do you? Surely this thread is a joke?

The Washington and Dallas Super Bowls didn't hurt as much because they were blowouts. Maybe the 2nd Cowboys Super Bowl you can make a case because the Bills were leading at half. But things fell apart quickly in the 2nd half and it ended up being a blowout. 13 seconds and MCM we had the games won until a crazy ending in both games. That hurt more than the blowout Super Bowl losses.

My opinion is that although the close games sting, they were at least good games with our great players making great plays. Getting spanked in the superbowl was just awful from beginning to end.

  3. too bad my favourite part of that day is not in that video or available to be seen elsewhere.

it was the phonecall right before the pick, from Beane to Allen:

Beane "You ready to be a Bill?"

    Allen "Yes, sir."

it was short and sweet but somehow from that moment on i knew that Allen was their guy all along and that he was going to be special.

It would be a disaster without a HoF RB.

It was ok for Kelly to call his own plays because he had a HOF RB who would demand the  football and do something with it.   For Allen, without a true running game, it would be far easier for him to take it upon himself to play hero ball too often.  That will always end in disaster as some of the losses have shown over the last few years.

maybe, or maybe he would do great. i hope they give him the chance in the future, but it will need practice so it is not for this year.

Isaiah McKenzie is GOOD, very good.  He's been put in the dog house all year for no noticeable reason. This has been to the detriment to the team both on offense and special teams.  Not only does he belong on the field he belongs in the offense!!

This kid had a noticeable impact on the offense last season and we have been missing his athleticism this year. It took desperation of multiple COVID lists and a hampered Sanders to finally give this MAN a chance.  We aren't talking about a rookie but a guy that's been here for a few years now.

McDermott is a terrible leader (no accountability) and terrible recognition of talent, he clings to Tre White as his only accomplishment and constantly puts faith in undersized abs under skilled guys.

Isaiah McKenzie played a key role in our run game last year withhis explosiveness and that has been missing all year.

It's terrible we need to rely on injuries of our talent to get on the field because the coach won't do it.

I'm so over McDermott, he can't coach a winning, talented football team.

This post is proof positive how awful Art Vandalay is. Pretyyyy prettyyyy bad

Vegan seems like a pretty healthy lifestyle tbh.  I’m not sure how one could undertake that lifestyle then eat these science project mega processed synthetic foods that look and taste like beef. How much chemistry must that take?

simple brain chemistry is all that is required

    Also:

EBAY BANNING SALES OF NOW-FORBIDDEN DR. SEUSS BOOKS.

This isn’t normal or reasonable and don’t let them gaslight you into thinking it is.

This is warped and un-American and the people pushing it should be ashamed.

While i agree that bans are not good for society, is it not reasonable that a company can decide what they allow and do not allow in their website? I don't like the decision, but it is their decision to make.

This actually has merit when you  consider human nature is to distrust anything different and to congregate around like-minded individuals, like beliefs, and languages. We see this play out in pockets of ethnicity in NYC (Chinatown, Italians in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, etc...) as well as in social media all the time - it is not lacking in empirical evidence.

In those larger towns I always liked the borderlands where ethnicity collided. Great food!

The root is that as humans we "pre-judge". This can be based on our personal experiences, ethnicity, religion, wealth, media, situational, or Hollywood. The only thing that dispels prejudice is getting to know folks better. That does not mean throw caution to the wind, humans have evolved a bit to sense danger and in reasonable situations pre-judging a situation as dangerous allows us to exit safely from it. But calling the police on a black man walking in the park is a bridge too far.

But for most situations, we just need to take time to get to know folks better, or respectfully agree to disagree. (I know, I am a poor example of that unless "respectfully" means something completely different.

indeed. children, and even babies, judge based on what they see, hear, smell, and eventually, understand (and misunderstand). most if not all animals do this. it is a defense mechanism to be cautious of "the other". a throwback to more dangerous times in human evolution.

and even though we grow up into (hopefully) reasonable adults, we all still make these judgements. thankfully we have the ability to self reflect and make our minds more flexible. we can stop ourselves from foolish assumption if we choose, but it takes some practice and experience. i fully admit that at times i make judgements based on how someone looks when i should not.

I am a work in progress. we all are. we can achieve a more inclusive and less judgemental society, but it is going to take a lot of work including admitting some pretty harsh truths. people love to find faults in society and others but rarely in themselves. i know it is trite but the phrase "look in the mirror" seem appropriate, except we might want to add "hey everyone, look in the mirror".
