  1. Travis Henry ran for 1438 and 1356 yards in the two years before the 2004 season. Bad skills???? That's your opinion, and it's flat out wrong. I expect either the 2nd round swap with the Cards or a 2nd round pick in this years or the 2006 draft. We'll see.
  2. No it isn't. Moulds has always done what it takes to remain with the Bills and I see no reason he would change his philosophy next year and for years to come. Especially when the team is finally on an upswing. I think he retires a Bill.
  3. No way do we trade Henry staight up for Shelton. Clayton is smokin grass on this one. Shelton is a bust while Henry has proven NFL skills. TD will tell Green to take a hike if a player swap is the only way he trades Shelton. We can then wait for them to cut him June 1st.
  4. Me too...they were the first band to start price gauging their fans.
  5. The Bills did the same thing to their own special teams coach a few years ago.
  6. Where's the heck is Elliot Spitzer? This thing so smacks of coersion it's not even funny. NYS and NYC taxpayers get a one billion dollar tab from Mr. Moneybags Bloomberg and Mr. Mumbles Pataki. I feel bad for NYS taxpayers. Vote those crooks out next election.
  7. Aren't you the same poster who felt the Dodgers should give "charity" to an 86 year old fan who's seats were being increased 500 percent? Wasn't there money on the line for the Dodgers? Why DO you like a blue collar team like the Bills? You should switch to Dallas or Washington who are all about the mighty buckaroos. Don't expect sympathy after we've watched corporations like Enron and World Com bilk thousands of loyal "less successful" employees out of their life savings. I feel sorry for the true Jet fans.
  8. Pet rock? Why are you calling him a pet rock?
  9. What Travis says and what's reality are two completely different things. C'mon now, not even Travis believes he's going to get 6 million a year. All that Travis wants now is out of here.
  10. Why do you want Shelton so badly? I'm not too thrilled with giving Henry away for a player, that frankly, no other NFL team wants. I think it tells you a little something about this players make-up. Plus, we already have an enormous offense tackle that at times plays like a pussycat. I strongly disagree with a player for player swap, even if that means having Henry an extra season. You never give up a proven skilled player for a draft bust like Shelton. You just don't do it. Think about it this way, that 3 million dollars could go to signing Clements to a contract extention. If we get Shelton and a 2nd round swap that would give us a chance for a great line prospect we'd not get at pick 55 then fine, I'm all for it. But giving Henry away is not an option.
  11. That loss was ALL Bledsoe's fault, and he tied it with a big fat red ribbon and gave it to the Steelers. You can NOT expect the defense to be perfect all the time. The only "fluke" was that of our defense not getting off the field on that drive brother.
  12. Alexander's and James' contracts leave them looking at only the teams with enough cap room to sign them. By draft day this will narrow the field to zero teams. Plus, I've never seen a team take on that kind of cap hit on draft day. Never.
  13. I don't know what team you were watching last season but I saw a team that went 8-2 it's last 10 games. Notice a trend? So go take your flying leap off the Bills 2005 bandwagon before the season begins. Wouldn't be the first panic move by a TSW member, won't be the last.
  14. There were many here that wanted TD to not place the franchise tag on Peerless Price and let him go elsewhere in fear of having to pay him top 5 money. Well, we now have Willis McGahee to show the folley of the people who wanted to just let Price go. I see the TH situation as very similar. There are many here who think we'll be lucky to get anything for Henry and to just swap players with Arizona. This is just fear and paranoia. The closer the draft comes the more Henry's value will rise. Henry is the ONLY bargain proven runningback available. Everyone knows that James' and Alexander's salary hits are through the roof. They also know how many 1st round runningback busts there've been in past NFL drafts. I doubt very much we'll be getting nothing for Henry.
  15. The Cards are trying to unload Shelton and it seems as if the Bills are the only takers. The Bills have a proven runningback that right now in their respective careers is heads above what Shelton has proven. Henry isn't regarded as the "stiff" Shelton is throughout the league. Don't hate on Donahoe for expecting a fair value trade offer. A player for player swap is simply not a fair trade for the Bills.
  16. Ok Rush Limbaugh. How do you go from ripping on the Dodgers who are increasing their revenue flow to ripping on someone who doesn't care about some guy who doesn't want to ante up for front row seats? Who's more in tune with capitalism here?
  17. I just think there are more things to get worked up over. They are making it sound like they're taking him out to right field and putting him to sleep like old yeller. If he's 86 years old and this is the first time he found out that life's a B word then he must have led some charmed life.
  18. Hatred? Get a grip. Try reading my post again, not having sympathy and hatred are two completely different things.
  19. There's a big difference in not feeling sorry for and thinking there's something wrong with rich people fighting over ticket prices. I just don't feel sorry for him. Did he feel sorry for all of the Brooklyn Dodger fans when they bolted NYC? Probably not. He'll get to see them in the same seat he's always had, it just won't be the front row anymore.
  20. If he was such a loyal guy he would have dropped them when they left for LA and become a New York Met fan. I feel no sympathy for him because he's a rich LA Dodger fan who isn't rich enough anymore to afford front row seats. Tell him to try rooting for a team that lost 4 straight Superbowls.
  21. Sorry, but I have a hard time working up sympathy for a guy who can afford a $20,000 annual season ticket fee.
  22. Jessie Sharp in kayak (1990) and Robert Overacker in jet ski (1995). Anyone care to shed some light on why these knuckleheads thought they could make it over the falls? Was beer involved?
  23. What's with this "we" stuff???? Maybe the reactionists felt that way but the realists knew it's not smart to overpay for players.
  24. According to the Buffalo News and the front page of TBD you're wrong: Buffalo News reports: 'The Cardinals are offering left tackle L.J. Shelton, but the Bills apparently don't feel they are getting a fair exchange with the player-for-player deal. Green is intrigued by Henry's skills. "I think he's tough as hell," Green said. "He's got exceptional balance, which allows a guy to get a lot of yardage. He's smart but powerful, compact, very difficult to tackle. I think he's a good player."' http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20050324/...?tbd1026456.asp
  25. No, the writer's moronic move was to publish what a "reader" heard on ESPN News. Hence the reason no self respecting fan would see profootballtalk as anything other than a fan site. This is NOT a legitimate source for football information yet we comtinue to see links here all the time to bogus site.
