  1. "Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco are the exception" ????????????? That sounds like something our loser head coach would say to excuse Trent's 2008 nosedive. Whatever happened to the thinking that Trent was exceptional??? Oh that's right, the 2008 season happened. I seriously do not know what the hell you were watching last year. It certainly wasn't Trent Edwards. Edwards majorly sucked once the real season began. You know, when he had to face our divisional opponents. Then he had the nerve to suck monkey balls against the likes of the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers. You're clueless if you think that Trent had a good season last year. Either that or your standards are on the level of a Detroit Lions fan. Trent sucked last year. Now to be fair I don't know if it's him or the ineptness at coaching, but he did suck. It's too bad that Edwards doesn't have a head coach that demanded perfection just like Joe Montana had in Bill Walsh. But it's apparent that Edwards feels like he needs to get in his 6 months of golfing in during the offseason and that's just a-okay with the Dick "the duffus" Jauron and his "just trying is okay attitude". Sorry to say this bitchy B word, but if Trent Edwards sucks again this year I hope both him and his lifetime loser achievement award winner of a head coach are long gone before the 2010 season. 11 touchdowns for the entire season, 67.9 rating in AFC East games........dude, there's no denying it, those numbers SUCK for a starting Buffalo Bills QB.
  2. Quit your bitching??? Screw you buddy. With the successes of rookies Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco the "patience" thing has been worn to the nub. It's time Trent put up a good season or get the f out of Buffalo. 11 touchdowns in 14 games doesn't cut it, a 67.9 QB rating against the AFC East teams doesn't cut it, bad games at home in Ralph Wilson Stadium against horrible teams like the Browns and Niners doesn't cut it, below .500 seasons doesn't cut it. He still has yet to answer the questions regarding his toughness, fragility, arm strength and competitiveness. Don't give me the "but we gave Losman a long time to develop" crap either. Losman was a known project who would take time to find out about. Edwards was obviously way ahead of Losman in the learning curve department in his first year. The major problem is that Edwards' progression was not sustained in 2008 which is understandably very troubling to fans on a Bills message board. So this is not bitching buddy, it's well deserved questioning of a guy who still has yet to solidify a position which has been in flux since Jim Kelly left ages ago. Bills fans don't give a damn what your golfing handicap is Trent, win games or get lost.
  3. The guys on Sirius NFL radio with the "football knowledge" still think Dick Jauron is a good coach. So WGR is not the only place devoid of knowledgeable NFL folk. I feel that in general, there are very few people on this planet with true "football knowledge". So don't be surprised WGR can't find anyone either. Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Jeff Fischer are part of the small handful that has true "football knowledge". Most of what you read and see in the media is unknowledgeable people just guessing. This also includes former coaches and players (see Emit Smith).
  4. That's funny, I was actually going to post a "why not Kurt Warner" thread then I saw that you beat me to it. Signing Warner for a two or three year deal would indeed send shock waves thoughout the AFC East. I still don't think that Warner could overcome the stench of Jauron's bad coaching. Though it would be fun to watch a real QB play for our team for once. At worst bringing Kurt in for a look see would send a message to Edwards that they noticed he's getting worse, not better. Edwards doesn't seem that hungry or intense of a player to me. Who are we kidding, Ralph's not paying anyone over 10 mil buckaroos a season!
  5. Are you talking about the same newspapers who's higher "elevation" of reporting was so profound and unbiased that they choose to embarrassingly fawn over Obama while writing articles with bitter and snarky undertones towards McCain? Here's a newsflash...newspapers lost all credibility a loooooong time ago and is one of the reasons people stopped buying them. If Sully continues to write honest assessments of the Buffalo Bills like one this more often then maybe he'll get many more people to buy that newspaper.
  6. Fred's f'n old as an NFL player and f'n ancient as an NFL runningback. Not a big deal.
  7. Chris Kelsay is the worst Bills starter in recent memory. His play is laughably inadequate. The fact that the Bills have choose to keep him on this team with that obscene salary of his says all you need to know about the lack of intelligence at One Bills Drive. My take is that they choose congeniality over ability. Kelsay knows how to parrot his coach's inane reasoning for failure in those all too familiar sad sack losing locker room interviews. Is there any doubt now that this team is on it's way to a four or less win 2009 season? Not for me.
  8. Here's my Bills' 2009 FA prediction, we shall see... C Jason Brown G Pete Kendall OLB Cato June RB Fred Taylor QB Chris Simms DE (rd1) and TE (rd2) in the draft .
  9. Kelsay should have been the first dead piece of wood tossed away. His contract is highway robbery. The guy's barely an NFL second stringer who pulls in a sickening 2 million per sack. If they don't cut him then this team is still a complete joke.
  10. Big Ten player at #11? No way, no how, no thank you. I'd MUCH rather take B. Orakpo, B.J. Raji, E. Brown, T. Jackson, B. Cushing, R. Maualuga and probably a few others before I take another over-hyped Penn Stater. The saving grace for Poz is that he was taken in the second round. His lackluster performance so far can still be tolerated.
  11. I was supporting Lynch. Sorry, but your response to my post made no sense at all.
  12. Have many of the pot smokers (or anyone for that matter) here have been shot at like Marshawn? Or have had two of their coworkers shot and killed (Darrent Williams, Sean Taylor) and had one coworker almost killed but forever maimed (Richard Collier) by being gunned down like Marshawn? Guys like Jim Kelly use guns for hunting purposes. Now I don't know for sure, but I have a distinct feeling that a guy like Marshawn Lynch carries a gun (be they legal or illegal) for protection when traveling in dangerous areas. Maybe he wants to avoid be another statistic if he were to face the worse case scenario. The potential gang banger looking to steal gold off of a very obvious target. That's all the motivation needed for having the gun even if it was illegal. Geez, Mr. Golden Boy Marvin Harrison got in hot water for having a gun. The world is a way more violent place than you obviously think and though he should have registered the weapon I see fear as a very normal and reasonable motivator in regards to why he had it. What, did you honestly think the cops caught him before he going to go all resevior dogs on a "rival posse"?
  13. You take the term "blowing out of proportion" to the heights of the Himalayans. Newsflash Skooby, football isn't your thing. Sounds like you'd be happier on a fancy cats forum. Those fancy cats would never let you down the way that no good nasty thug criminal Marshawn Lynch did. Here ya go... http://www.cfa.org/ No need to thank me...enjoy!
  14. If it's not the coaching, please tell us why did Trent Edwards suck @ss the remaining ten games of the year. You do realize that in his eight seasons as a NFL head football coach, Jauron's offenses ranked near the bottom (it averages out to be around 24th). That's eight f__ ing seasons. You guys are living in a dream world if you think it's not the head coach. You also do realize it's very possible that both Losman AND the coaches sucked, don't you? Wise up and get a clue. Dick Jauron sucks monkey balls. 7 of 8 seasons worth and counting thanks to Ralph "Oops, I jumped the gun" Wilson.
  15. You do realize that except for a couple of spot starts by Losman, Trent Edwards has been the starting QB for the Bills the last year and a half? The amazing thing is the longer Edwards plays the more he looks like a heaping pile of dung. Gee, I wonder why that is? It couldn't be that the offense is so pathetic that even TSW members here know every play the Bills will run before the snap now could it? However, NFL defensive coordinators could never crack the code, right? It's a wonder that there are still Dick Jauron apologists out there. They seem not to get the 7 of 8 losing seasons record. That somehow his QBs were the ones who always have let him down. They buy into this perpetual notion that all Dick needs is a couple of more pieces. To all of them including yourself, the notion that Dick Jauron should still be allowed to be a head coach after literally throwing up an 7 of 8 losing seasons record is as sick and twisted as someone giving JP Losman seven of eight losing seasons to prove he's a winner. Losman may never be a good QB, but the guy was dead on about how putrid this coaching staff is. He spoke up about 34 games ago and the Bills offense continues to be historically bad under Edwards. But somehow it's never deemed Jauron's fault with you guys. You guys are ridiculous. Please tell us all why you think Jauron will ever become a winning coach. You might want to check out our schedule before you get back to me.
  16. Difference noted. I don't agree that it was a mistake. I'd like to think that Jim Kelly would have and Trent Edwards will at some point (if this coaching ineptness continues) make a public statement when the coaches refuse to put him in a position to win. It's too bad if these stupid coaches have a thin skin, but if you have to play QB with one arm behind your back while 260 to 300 pound defensive lineman are trying to break your neck, then at some point push does come to shove. If Trent aint being heard behind closed doors, then it's time to throw some red meat at the lions. Either they change their spots or at some point this team will have to face the cold hard facts of which JP Losman was trying to convey. Unfortunately this will happen next year after Jauron is fired for a pathetic 4 to 5 win season and a new coaching staff takes over which will make it almost three years since Losman tried to keep it real with y'all. "For the record, Jauron is everything I dislike in a coach." I do wholeheartedly agree with you about that statement.
  17. Your STILL pissed at JP Losman for calling out the coaching???? Bill, you should have been THANKING him. Losman was unveiling the DIRTY LITTLE SECRET this team has been trying to hide since Jauron took over as head coach. That a Dick Jauron coached team SUCKS THE LIFE out of an offense. He was telling the TRUTH. And here we are a full year and a half removed from those comments to the press and this team STILL has a lifeless, predictable, painful to watch, non-creative offense. Do you disagree with that? How does Trent Edwards look in this offense? Why are you so freaking supportive of Dick Jauron's feelings to this very day when it turns out that Losman was correct all along? What the f is up with fans undying protection of Dick Jauron and his hurt feelings? JP WAS FREAKING RIGHT!!!!
  18. Well TSW is around now! Here's your chance to set the record straight Bills fans. Who here wanted Bruce Smith kicked out of Buffalo when he was suspended for drugs...
  19. Perspective is all I was trying to provide. Just because there are more rules doesn't mean that players in their early twenties won't act like they are in their early twenties. There were no guarantees that Bruce would stop getting into trouble just like there are none with Marshawn. But the guy does play RB with the same ferociousness Smith did as a DE, as long as Marshawn didn't rearrange somebody's face then I'm giving him some leeway. I think he's got a good heart, but just needs to grow up a little bit and learn how to deal with this new high profile NFL life of his. I'm guessing he gets two games tops.
  20. So you found one dumb person, Ed Kilgore. A person who was so dumb in his lone stance since Bruce Smith eventually figured it out and became a Hall of Famer, warts and all. Thanks for validating my point even further. Hey Bill, time to finally answer my question you dodged a while back. Were you clamoring for Bruce Smith to be traded when he was suspended for being a coke head and also got in trouble for driving while being so drunk he was on the verge of passing out?
  21. Don't bother, they forgot about what it was like being young and making mistakes a long time ago. You know, back when they would have spit in your face for suggesting Bruce Smith get traded for f'ing up royally. They have become the crotchety old man on the porch shacking their fists, screaming at those darn kids in their supped up muscle cars. They are full of crap if they say they wanted Smith traded back in the day. BTW, did anyone notice that the ESPN story is from Feb 16th? Talk about a ground hogs day thread. Let's just keep posting it like it new news every week.
  22. You do realize that they just gave a three year contract extension to a career loser as an NFL head coach? This team is enthralled with mediocrity. It's celebrated in fact. There are no consequences to poor performances. They feel that a pat on the back and "just try harder" is all that's needed to right the ship. Chris Kelsay wouldn't last one second on a Belichick coached team. This team is on the fast track of quickly becoming the AFC's version of the Detriot Lions.
  23. You just gave us all some real gems... "every coach in the league makes mistakes..." "the only consistent weakness is QB..." "Jauron is a very smart coach..." "are there better coaches out there?..." You know what CFLstyle? Mike Malarkey, Greg Williams, Hank Bullough and Kay Stephenson never threw an interception either. The only difference between them and Jauron is that none of them were so fortunate enough to have a gaudy eight seasons of NFL failure as a track record. This guy's losing resume has become historical in it's consistency. The jury was in on this guy after his first head coaching stint of the Chicago Bears. It's sad that Levy, Wilson and amazingly to this day some Bills fans continue to have faith in this loser. If Dick Jauron is a very smart coach then Tony Sparano is God almighty. Sorry but saying Dick Jauron is a very smart coach is a basic admission that you know nothing about football. You've got a very loooooong year ahead of you if you plan on supporting this chicken sh_t of a head coach. "Are there better coaches out there?" Dude, he's hands down the f__king worst head coach in the league.
  24. Change the Bills to Bears and you probably sound an awful lot like a Chicago Bears fan weakly defending their head coach against the rising tide of discontent, circa 2003. At least they had the joy of that luckiest of lucky 13-3 season to enjoy. Dick Jauron sucks 200 pound rampaging monkey balls.
