People ridiculed Cinncy when they reached and took
JimBob2232 replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
even though he turned out to be good, it was a reach pick. They could have moved down and still gotten him. Same here. Whittner can be a HOF safety and it doesnt change my opinion that this was a bad pick. -
Thats possible...but i think this is more likely 2 NYJ - Bush 3. TEN- VY 4. NO - Brick 5. GB - Hawk 6. SF - Davis 7. Oak - Huff
-
Does Berm still have the same "Cab driver" now that TD is gone? Hmm..i wonder.

Anyone notice how Casserly Keeps
JimBob2232 replied to 2003Contenders's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
for 50 million dollars you can call me whatever you want to. -
Thats what I have been saying all day. There is better than 50/50 chance brick falls IF the picks stay as they are However, i think its likely in the next 15 minutes or so, the saints move down...and will take brick at 4 or wherever.
-
Not usually...but in this case, Bunkley is probably on our short list of players we like.
-
Doesnt seem like a tough situation to rectify. Draft Bunkley, if Justice is on the board at 14, do the trade...if not, simply keep Bunkley.

Bills, Eagles Trade? A rumor out of the Philly area says that the Bills and Eagles may be working on a draft day deal. The Eagles are known to want to move up, while the Bills wouldn't mind moving back. If a deal is made the Bills would move back six spots to #14 and get the Eagles 2nd rounder according to one report. The Eagles aren't sure they want to part with the 2nd rounder. Here's the catch, Philadelphia covets getting Brodrick Bunkley the guy supposedly the Bills want. One report says the Bills secretly want another player that will be there at 14, so they don't mind doing the deal, getting another pick, and losing out on Bunkley. Time will tell. ...I like it. (depending on who is there at #8)

While yesterday I thought us getting brick was pretty likely, today I am not so sure with Williams going to Houston. If Bush goes to New Orleans, I still agree. I think we have a good chance at Brick. But, if (as I suspect) Bush goes #2 to some team other than NO, all bets are off. Worst case scenario, Jets get Bush and Leinert falls to us at #8. That means that Ngata or Huff is likely off the board AND we are tempted to take another QB. Also, disaster scenario, New England brough in Javon Walker this week.

Not that funny actually. I only watched the first minute or so and..LAME.

Do you read my posts?! It seems logical to name the CVN-21 the Enterprise and simply retire the current one and replace it with the CVN-21.

More than anything I am putting this here to be able to come back and see how I did... 1. Houston - Bush 2. New Orleans - Mario Williams 3. Tennessee - Vince Young 4. New York Jets - Matt Leinert 5. Green Bay - AJ Hawk 6. San Fransico - Vernon Davis 7. Oakland - Michael Huff 8. Buffalo - D'Brick (yes, i do think this is likely.) 9. Detroit - Winston Justice 10. Arizona - Cutler 11. St. Louis - Ngata 12. Cleveland - Bunkley 13. Baltimore - Ernie Sims 14. Philadelphia - Chad Jackson 15. Denver - Santanio Holmes 16. Miami - Jimmy Williams 17. Minnesota - Chad Greenway 18. Dallas - Wimbley 19. San Diego - Cromartie 20. Kansas City - Johnathan Joseph 21. New England - Tye Hill 22. San Fran - Demarco Ryans 23. Tampa - Winston 24. Cincinatti - Youboty 25. NY Giants - Manny Lawson 26. Chicago - Davin Joseph 27. Carolina - Deangelo Williams 28, Jacksonville - Jason Allen 29. NY Jets - Lawrence Maroney 30. Indianapolis - Bobby Carpenter 31. Seattle - Donte Whitner 32. Pittsburgh - Mangold

I know...3 posts in arow...sue me... But i find it interesting that each one of these presidents had a strong decline in their job approval over their administration, and all ending at or near the low for their term. I wonder if this trend carries over outside this time frame.

Thats why i said generally! I personally disagree with naming a ship after a living person. And its about time we get an aircraft carrer named the America and one named the Enterprise (because we wont have the current one much longer)

Not much of a defense...I live there too

*EDIT* WITH THE DRAFT 13 HOURS AWAY......
JimBob2232 replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Houston Reggie Bush 2. New Orleans Mario Williams 3. Tennesee Titans Vince Young 4. Oakland Matt Leinert 5. Green Bay Hawk 6. SF - Vernon Davis 7. NYJ - Brick 8. STL - Cutler 9. DET - Huff 10. ARZ - Winston Justice 11. BUF - Ngata I'm still unsure that Bush winds up with Houston. I suspect you might see a deal ALA the philip rivers/eli manning deal a couple years back. Though this time it would involve Furgeson or Mario...or possibly Vince Young -
Pick me a perfect top 5 picks...

1. Houston Reggie Bush 2. New Orleans Mario Williams 3. Tennesee Titans Vince Young 4. Oakland Matt Leinert 5. Green Bay Hawk For info 6. SF - Vernon Davis 7. NYJ - Brick 8. STL - Cutler 9. DET - Huff 10. ARZ - Winston Justice And for Fun 11. BUF - Ngata/Bunkley...Personally leaning towards Ngata. Everything makes sense here. Oakland moves up, gets the guy they covet. Jets move down, get the guy they want. Buffalo moves down, still gets the guy they want, STL moves up, and gets who they want. Everyone wins here. Everyone except maybe Arizona...but what else is new. -
And the other answer is that they "generally" wait until the person has passed prior to naming a vessel after them. Edit: Link to USS Polk http://www.nvr.navy.mil/nvrships/details/SSN645.htm

He IS the best running back in the NFL.... I think he has a better chance of bowling a 300 game.

Better Draft Justice !!!!!!!

Seriously. You can only break your TBD virginity once, and I cant believe this post is what he chose. -
Alot of talk recently about him going to oakland. Which is interesting. And means that either Hawk, Mario, Brick may be available at #8.
-
Might be the only acceptable reason to "finish quickly"

This isnt something you mess around with. Termites can DESTROY your house. Call the pros. Suck up the money. If you came down with cancer you wouldnt try to treat it yourself, even if you had no money. Termites are basically cancer for your house. It will spread...fast if not treated properly. Get help.

I was just thinking, Jets fans ALWAYS boo their pick at the draft. One problem...who could they select that would cause fans to boo? Leinert? Young? D'Brick? Mario? I think the jets have to take one of those 4. Hard to see Jets fans disapointed with any of them.

http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm WROTEN, SCIFRES TEST POSITIVE AT COMBINE Three league sources with knowledge of the results of the drug tests administered at the February scouting combine tells us that, this year, only two players generated positive results. Per the sources, the two positive results were generated by LSU defensive tackle Claude Wroten and Missouri State kicker Jon Scifres. The sources have requested anonymity due to the confidential nature of the NFL's drug testing protocol. ESPN's Mel Kiper has Wroten listed as No. 3 among defensive tackles, behind only Brodrick Bunkley and Haloti Ngata. Kiper pegs Scifres as the No. 2 kicker. Scifres' brother, Mike, is the punter for the San Diego Chargers. Coincidentally (or perhaps not), Wroten wrote a letter last week to the lead decision maker of each of the 32 NFL teams, reportedly due to an arrest in January of possession of marijuana, with intent to distribute. The charges were dropped. He said in the letter that he made a mistake, but is not a bad guy. It's not known whether Wroten knew at the time of writing the letter that his test result from the combine would be positive, or whether his letter addressed the matter in any way. Last year, Northwestern tackle Luis Castillo arguably slowed his own draft slide by disclosing via letter a positive result at the combine for androstenedione. Castillo was selected by the Chargers in round one. A positive test doesn't necessarily mean that the player was found to have a prohibited substance in his urine. An excessively diluted sample also can be regarded as a positive test. As we've explained in past years, the test imposed at the combine is announced in advance. Thus, anyone who tests positive at the combine -- and whose positive test was the result of using a prohibited substance -- is either a moron or has a problem. Unless, of course, it's a false positive.
