  1. Exit polls appear to have been VERY wrong this year. I dont put much weight in them this year.
  2. This could get interesting. I remember seeing the same thing in 2000. Called a state for one candidate and then backfired. CNN says 54-45 bush right now with 12% in. Granted i have no clue where those are from and how they compare, but almost 2 million votes to bush's favor could make this interesting.
  3. They have to vote for one of the top 3 electoral vote getters I believe
  4. The really interesting (and indeed bad) thing about this, is kerry could win the popular vote AND the electoral college, yet lose the election. This woudl be bad news for the country. If this happens, I indeed hope bush conceeds to the will of the people and steps down. (and I voted for him)
  5. Yes, they are, however that is the house not the senate. I dont think anyone feels the hosue will change hands.
  6. Do you have proof she is a lesbian? If so, then yes.
  7. Drudge said that votes were found on machines before voting started. This is exactly what was alleged. He was the first one to report this story. The story may not be true, but this is exactly what was alleged. This WAS the story. I cautioned people to wait until the facts came out, and said "Drudge just doesnt make this stuff up" and guess what, HE DIDNT. He consistently breaks news stories first. This was a news story. Turns out its probably a bunch of nothing, but its still a news story and another one brought first by drudge.
  8. The senate will still be republican barring a major upset. Dems pick up obama..republicans officially get the georgia seat vacated by zell miller (which for all intent and purpose has been a republican seat anyway). There are about 9 seats (KY, LA, NC, SC, SD, OK, FL, AK and CO) that are close enough to even possiby be too close to call. Notice all of them are in states bush is expected to win. Without those 9 seats figured in, the republicans hold the majority in the senate at 47-43-1. Republicans only need 3 of those 9. My gess is the republicans win NC, SC, FL, OK, SD and KY and lose CO, AK and LA making the senate 53-46-1 with a bush win or 54-45-1 with a democrat win. Besides the presidential election, Tom Daschle losing in SD might be the biggest story of the day.
  9. Excuse me. Drudge reported the story. The story is true. What he said IS NEWS.
  10. Not only that, but I saw a listing somewhere of his potential cabinet. Alot of senate guys. Its possible he will lose a couple more senate seats to his cabinet. Not sure what states they were from though. Could make it more interesting.
  11. While I agree with you, I think this goes to speak great volumes about kerry. He will say ANYTHING to win. He will be a packer fan today in WI, a redsox fan tomorrow, he will go hunting for ducks, he will hunt deer on his hands and knees. He is a gun owner, he tries to be everything to everyone instead of who he is. Just be John Kerry and maybe people will vote for you.
  12. 10 is too much. I like one 6 year term
  13. We dont even know what Kind of machines these are....could they be computerized machines? If so, its simple.
  14. FYI Fox just reported this....
  15. Ya know...this is another topic for another day. But ONE six year term might be an idea I can live with.
  16. Look up a couple posts...
  17. Im not saying drudge is the gospel, but he doesnt flat out make stuff up. He is often the one who breaks the news first. Yes he reports on alot of trivial things, some of which dont go mainstream. Please provide me an instance where drudge was flat out wrong on something.
  18. Listen, I posted this story and said I hope its not what it looks like. I am taking a very careful position on this until the facts come out. However once 700 votes at one precint, it has been changed to 2000 votes at 4 locations and growing. This could be a MAJOR scandal, thats why I am posting this. Drudge doesnt just make this stuff up. There is some basis for it. Like I said though, its possible there is a legit reason for this, and thus i am witholding judgement. Notice in NONE of what is posted does it give ANY indication as to whom these votes are for. It doesnt matter.
  19. Looks like an extra "700 people" turned out in PA. Drudge: Before voting even began in downtown Philladelphia -- poll watchers found nearly 700 votes already planted on machines... The incident occurred at 2601 N. 11th St., Philadelphia, Pa... Developing... Now, i am hoping these are absentee ballots left in a bad place, or poll workers who voted early or some other benign reason...I will withold judgement until then. Lets just hope someone wins PA by at least 3%
  20. Really? That is very odd. Living in p-town i have seen ALOT of bush and kerry ads, many swift vote ads and even other 527s. Strange
  21. I dont like people saying thier vote doesnt couint because they are a republican in ny. If 10 people vote for A and 6 people vote for B, the only votes that "dont count" are the 3 extra people who voted for A. Therefor if you are a republican in NY, you are voting for B and YOUR VOTE COUNTS. You vote might not matter but it counts. Symantics I know, but just vote okay?!
  22. Whoever wins will be my president and I will stand by him. I may dissent often, but he will be my president and I will support him. However I am a conservative, I realize most of my liberal friends will be too inconsiderate to do the same.
  23. I would move msnbc a few ticks towards the right...but that rating scale looks about right. Fox IS biased toward the right, but much less than cnn is left. The thing with fox is that you KNOW when the host is biased. CNN, CBS ABC NBC they put on this non-partisan face but are FAR from it.
  24. Popular Vote: Bush 49.2% Kerry 47.9% Nader 1.0% Other 1.9 % (Outragous prediction, Badnarik gets more votes than nader) Electoral Vote: Bush wins 30 states AL(9), AK(3), AR(6), AZ(10), GA(15), WV(5), WY(3), TX(34), UT(5), VA(13), NV(5), OK(7), SC(8), SD(3), TN(11), IN(11) ID(4), KS(6), KY(8), LA(9), MO(11), MS(6), MT(3), NC(15), ND(3), NE(5), NM(5), FL(27), OH(20), CO(9), IA(7) Kerry wins 20 states and DC DC(3), DE(3), OR(7), PA(21), RI(4), VT(3), WA(11), IL(21), MA(12), MD(10), ME(4), CA(55), CT(7), NJ(15), NH(4), NY(31), HI(4), MI(17), MN(10), WI(10), 286-252 Bush
  25. The other thing you are forgetting is that there WILL be competition for his services. Sure if its one team, they may say "4th round or forget it" to force our hands. But if oakland is saying that we simply ask phily, and they might say fine, we will give you a third rounder for him, and the bidding escalates from there. Our hands are NOT tied here. He is under contract with us. If some other team (philly) would rather draft a guy like Ronnie Brown with their first round pick...rather than have travis, so be it. There arent alot of good backs in this draft. Carnell williams and Cedrick Benson. Thats about it.
