  1. And that sucks if he is innocent. I hope that he sues the police department for not doing their job and investigating it to the fullest to make sure he was the correct suspect. That is a blemish that will not ever go away and that he will always be tied to. For them to press charges and then say he's been cleared in a 3 or 4 day window seems a little fishy to me.
  2. http://www.buffalonews.com/494/story/676328.html PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — The agent for Buffalo Bills fullback Corey McIntyre says allegations that his client fondled himself outside a Port St. Lucie woman's home are "outrageous and harmful." A woman claims McIntyre knocked on her window during the act, then fled. Police later spotted him on a bicycle. He faces a misdemeanor charge of exposing sexual organs and is free on $10,000 bond. McIntyre's agent, Brett Tessler, calls the incident a "horrible case of misidentification has caused Corey and his family a great deal of pain and embarrassment." The incident happened about two months ago. Tessler said in an e-mail that police had told McIntyre and the Bills that he had been cleared of the accusations. What say you? I feel bad for the guy if it's just a case of mistaken identity.
  3. You are way off base. This is an open forum to discuss Bills football. Talking about how Trent didn't get the job done is going to be a topic of conversation until he gets the job done, get used to it. He played in 10 games with the majority being starts in his rookie campaign and got extensive playing time last year. In only one game last year did he throw for more than one touchdown. 11 TDs to 10 Ints is not decent. To a degree you can blame play calling but some of the blame falls on him. His attempts per game are comparable to most guys in the league. At some point you just have to say he's not getting the job done. I AM NOT SAYING THAT YET, but there is a basis for the criticism. He's accomplished exactly nothing and he's going into year 3. This year is make or break for him, plain and simple. We said it after JP's second season and just about every other QB in the league. I want a quarterback that exceeds expectations honestly, not one I'm waiting for to develop.
  4. Or... He's inconsistent. There is no question he could develop. There were alot of holes in his game a year ago and he'll need to improve to get beyond 7-9. He had good games last year and for a stretch he was great. Now we need 15-17 games of that level of football and the critics will be silenced. Until that happens, he's fair game.
  5. Except in Jim Kelly's case. There was a solid run game, defense and Special teams. The response I gave was to the point that Jim didn't consistently get to 300 yards, which is inaccurate and that was the only point I was trying to make. I think it's absolutely insane to compare anything that Jim Kelly did to what Trent is trying to do. They are in no way shape or form the same quarterback and we shouldn't expect the same things.
  6. Not to push the issue but is 10 years really longevity?
  7. 29 games of 300 yards or more puts him in the top 20 of all time. That's from 86' to 96'. Hate the comparison. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_300-Y...FL_Quarterbacks
  8. If you think that is what Peters is, you're dead wrong. I've dealt with him on numerous occasions and he is nothing of the sort.
  9. I'll tell you a story about how I met Darryl Talley when I was a kid. He was at the McKinley mall with his wife and me being an avid Bills fan I pegged him right away. I had a bills coat and hat on and approached him for his autograph. He just put his hand up and told me to stop where I was, he didn't have time. At 30, I might have been more understanding but at 10? F that guy. He was almost as rude as Steve Tasker when I met him. He plays golf at a course I used to work on. Me being a caucasion of average size and build, I thought the world of Tasker. A small white guy who was a star on special teams and an all around great player. A few years ago he wrote a book, that I read and approached him on the course to tell him I loved the book. I was behind the 4th green and I waited until he sunk his putt to approach him. The conversation went like this. Me: Hey Steve, I just wanted to say how much I appreciated you as a player for the Bills. I'm a die hard. Steve: Me: I just finished the book you wrote and thought it was great. Alot of insight about what was going on on the sidelines back when you played. Steve: Then he got on his cart and drove off. Both are true stories. I won't even begin to tell you about my run ins with mr. fat@ss himself, Jason Peters.... It is my experience that most players are big jerks. I tend to keep to myself around athletes.
  10. Another stupid rule that further makes this game less physical. Over/Under 10 years until they're wearing flags?
  11. His measurables were the best of all the DE's at the Combine. A couple posters above me made a point that he played against one of the poorest defensive conferences in college football. Well, what is he supposed to do about that? He showed up and dominated and that's really all he can do. Go look at what he did statistically against all the guys we've been talking about drafting ahead of him. Not so much a top 10-20 pick but if he's around in the 2nd and they haven't went DE in the first, I think he's a lock. Who cares if he's white? Who'd care what he was if he ends up being productive? The reading on him says he's very smart and easily coached. Sounds like a Bill to me.
  12. I'm sort of curious if everything you post on this board is this trite. Condescending much?
  13. I contributed and wanted to say thanks for coming here. It's nice to have an inside guy who takes time to share his opinions and knowledge. It's all very appreciated.
  14. Totally 100% agree with you. The article says they had to match the Bills offer and my assumption is the conversation went something like this. Bears: Go out and find the best offer you can and come back to us. Jones: Well the Bills offered me 2 million. Bears: We can live with that. Jones: Done.
  15. I can verify. He bought a fish burrito.
  16. Rumor has it, alot of snow falls in wny over the winter.
  17. Hopefully this shows another opinion to all those people who said he was our best offensive linemen. Boy that was a joke...
  18. I believe he played 4 games last year, not 1.
  19. Pretty tough argument honestly. This town went bananas when either of them were good. I'm a Sabres first guy but just barely. If both games were on at my house, I'd watch the one with more significance and dvr the other. The trick to that is turning off your phone so noone can play spoiler. I remember the 90's with the Bills, it was nuts. Then it was the same story in '99 and again in '06 for the Sabres. I almost say it's slightly more Sabres right now just because the Bills have been so bad for so long. Numbers show that people like football more than hockey and that's probabily why people still show up to Bills games. It makes them feel relevant in the national sports conversation.
