  1. I'm a Springville graduate and we use to party down there all the time for Octoberfest. An even more wild adventure is the Regatta. Anyone been down for that? The Real
  2. If you watched his combine workout the kid looked like an athlete. Ran well for a guy his size and seemed to be able to catch the ball pretty well. I'm not really certain of his blocking skills but I can say I've seen him make a few pretty good catches. 46 receptions in his senior year with impressive athletic ability. I'm excited to see what this kid can do. The Bills have 3 or 4 options at TE coming into '08. I'm certain they'll find out which ones excel. Hopefully one is Derek Fine.
  3. LOVE THIS PICK. I thought for sure this kid would be off the board at 11. There is more depth at WR than at DB and the Bills stepped up to solidify a HUGE need on defense. If Jordy Nelson ends up going to us in round 2 I'm gonna be talking ish for months.... The Real
  4. My top 3 if I could get them would be 1. Leodis McKelvin 2. James Hardy 3. Dustin Keller Reality? 1. Trade down and take Devin Thomas 2. Trade back into the first and take Michael Jenkins 3. One of the top 5 TE's that are left in round 3.
  5. Uh...Um....Yeah... bad...? Not so much. Bring a guy who's 26 and led the NFL in sacks into a situation with a defense that is already good? That defensive line now has the Williams boys in the center and a dominant DE. So two 3rds and a 1st to add the league leader in sacks, who's only 26? Bad? The money fits the player as does the compensation. This isn't a 30+ WR trying to restructure a deal. It's an up and coming DE who will dominate in the league for 5 more years. Good trade for both teams. The Real
  6. Just following your mock draft there, do you really think Chicago is going to give you there 3rd for 3 spots and a 5th? Then you're going to draft the WR with the most injury concerns in the draft in Sweed? I'd be disappointed in yours too. No offense man...
  7. You show me 10 boards that say he's falling and I'll show you 10 that say he's got all the tools. If you read my first post I'm taking him because McKelvin won't be there at 11. I understand who the top corner is in this draft. If you or anyone else tries to sell any of the top WR's in this draft at 11 you are simply ridiculous.
  8. After 15,000 mock drafts and 'expert' opinions I've come to the basic conclusion that I shouldn't have to explain what our needs are. The logic is asserted and the players in the first two rounds WILL be there when we pick and they both have the skill set we're looking for. Trying to guess what TE will be available in the 3rd round is impossible. I will however be willing to bet if they haven't adressed the need by this third round, they look for the best one available at that point.
  9. 1. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - Two top needs in this draft are WR and DB. The talent they could get in the second round is more comparable at WR hence the pick of DRC. Looks to have the raw skills to be a pretty solid player. Personally, I'd rather Leodis McKelvin but I don't like the chances of him falling to 11. Also really like the Defensive End Harvey but I believe the additions we've made along the defensive front will allow us to generate atleast a decent pass rush. We're one year removed from Schobel and double digit sack numbers. 2. Jordy Nelson- At 6'3" 217 he's the right size. Put up some huge numbers in college and was also a track stand out. Fast strong and big. Fit the mold? 3. The best tight end left. Thoughts...
  10. I think up until this point I've been enamoured with the idea of a guy like Sweed or Kelly because of their size. Both being 6'4" and 225+ makes them ideal in the redzone. James Hardy with his 6'7" 220 frame could translate into a fantastic weapon in the NFL. Is a guy like Thomas, at 6'2", big enough to be that true redzone 'go to' guy? I love what Lee Evans does for this team and to a lesser extent I can live with Roscoe and Josh Reed, but it's become evident they need a bigger physical presence. Is a guy like Thomas the ideal size? Forget the fact that he's only really produced one season and consider how his game translates to the NFL in terms of what the Bills need from the position. My answer is no. I like him as a player but not enough to pass over the defensive players who'll be available at 11 that make you better immediately. There is too much talent available in the 2nd round at WR to take a guy like Thomas in the first. What's your perspective? T_R
  11. Well thought out and seems pretty realistic. Nice post.
  12. Oh so true. Drunken behavior can't tell St. Catherines from Cheektowaga. I see more drunken idiots on Chippewa then in any other place I've been. Seems like every 20 minutes it's another fight... Must all be canadians right?
  13. Everyone here is the model of maturity and intelligence. Don't share your stories of bad behavior, Ridicule grows on trees.
  14. As most of the old timers here know, I'm a worker at an establishment where wagers can be made on various games. It's here in Niagara Falls where I work. You know the place? Anyways, who walks up to the poops table that I'm working at? None other than Marshawn Lynch. I looked up and he's standing there with two other gentlemen who obviously weren't players. Uncontrollably, the moment I see him, I scream "BEAST MODE!". Him and his two buddies were the only ones on the table who knew what I was talkiing about and they all cracked big smiles. Marshawn didn't have his fronts on, I was disappointed. Anyways, just thought I'd share my story. The Real
  15. So many haters these days on tsw. Then again, lets be honest, how many of the same thread can we read. God I hate April...
  16. Listen, I have a close friend of mine who has argued on behalf of strippers/hookers for years. He was married young and then divorced and decided paying for hookers was the easiest way to appease himself. He always said... "I don't pay them for sex, I pay them to leave when I'm done." I'm not saying that prostitution is good or that I would do what he does. But something about what he said resonated in my soul. How much easier would life be if you lived it his way? The Real
  17. Anytime day or night, I see hookers on Niagara Street over by the 190 exit. For the record though, these ain't Spitzer's girls. These are the girls missin half a grill and got extra ghetto cushions. Survey says.. No good. The Real
  18. http://www.nickjr.com/shows/oswald/fred_savage.jhtml My daughter is going to be 2 in April and one of the programs she likes to watch is this one Oswald. I was reading the credits and to my suprise, Kevi err mole err Fred Savage was the voice. Not really news worthy but interesting that Winnie's boyfriend is now doing cartoons on nick jr.
  19. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/hashmarks/0-5-7...ck--Part-2.html 11. Bills -- Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma: At 6-foot-4, 224 pounds, this is the big receiver Buffalo needs to complement speedster Lee Evans. Cynics will point to Kelly not being able to get enough separation from defensive backs, but that's not completely fair. I watched him separate from Big 12 South cornerbacks on a regular basis. Those of us in the mock draft business refer to this as a LOCK.
  20. While I agree, they have to address their shortcoming at WR and DB going into next season or I fear our record will remain close to the same.... Out of the playoffs.
  21. I'm slightly nervous that we really have no idea what we have in Poz right now. I know everyone is acting like our LB corp will be good but I have absolutely no idea who he is as a player yet. I'm hoping for the best....
  22. If you watch some video on the guys they are both exactly what we need. Both are big play wide outs who have superior size. I personally think more of Kelly but that's only because I've seen alot of him. The video I've seen of Sweed makes him very interesting. I think if you get either of the top two you are going to get a pretty good player.
